My wife and I booked for our first weeks holiday alone without the kids for 16 years. We are very familiar with Tenerife and this area in particular and love it there. We were offered a weeks accommodation for £155 promotional price with a free transfer to hotel on the... more

We were told we'd be getting a room with a seaview instead we got a view of a brothel. It was very wet when we got to Tenerife and the rain poured through the light onto our balcony. I wondered why our drying clothes were covered in white flecks & looked up to see a mass... more

Purchased a week here from a promotions company over the phone for 155. After looking at the other reviews on here i was very dubious at first but already booked so thought we'd take a chance because the location looked ideal for us (we have a 12 year old girl who loves the... more

We are couple with a daughter of one year. We sayed at La Pinta to weeks from New Year 2009. This is a good hotel, and this is our second stay here. We have had the same room both times, with the great sea and sunset view. The breakfast is good, but I am bored with it after... more

Booked for the "La Pinta Beach Club" at the hotel via a private operator who promote timeshare and holiday clubs, self, wife and 2 grown-up children. Apartment given, on ground floor, was massive, but stank and was so wet that there were two large de-humidifiers in the... more

After reading quite bad reviews on this hotel we thought maybe people were exaggerating but no, this hotel is definitely not four star standard, but a three star. We were half board and would not recommend it although swapping the evening meal for a lunch was handy. The... more

Some of the rooms have been refurbished in the last year and those rooms are OK. We have stayed in several hotels in the area and this is not upto to 4 star standards. The rooms are very clean and the housekeeping staff are wonderful. We have stayed here several times... more

We had a fantastic Xmas in Tenerife. The weather was fantastic and the hotel was not bad. The only issue we had was that we had requested a sea/pool view upon booking but instead of that we got the total opposite. We were put on floor -1 which we all called the dungeons... more

I booked directly with the La Pinta hotel after fruitlessly searching various websites for accommodation there. They all stated that the hotel was fully booked, so if you particularly want this hotel and get the same result, try calling. Although not initially expecting... more

Ideal Location
First of all I must say that I stayed in the Time-share side of the complex therefore was self catering. My boyfriend and I thought that the resort was ideally located due to having numerous bars and restaurants and didn't seem to be far away from anything. Maximum 15 min walk. However, I can say that although there is a sign saying that the pool is open from 10am and the no reserving of beds was specified in the welcome book, there did seem to be an early morning battle to reserve the beds and umbrellas i.e mainly the Germans/Spanish... more
Little Britain
My family visited Hotel La Pinta in Tenerife over the New Year 2005 - 2006. We had been originally booked at Club Atlantis, but two days before we were due to go, had been informed that the hotel was overbooked and we had been moved to Hotel la Pinta. Needless to say I was not duly impressed and arrived at Hotel La Pinta with mixed feelings. Firstly, I was overwhelmed with the tackiness of the resort and the fact that there is nothing in any way Spanish about Playa de las Americas. The staff at La pinta were nonchalant and at... more
4 Star Hotel? Never!
Just got back from a week at La Pinta, and although we got what we wanted from the holiday, i.e. a relaxing week in the sun, I have to say that the hotel is by no means a 4 star! The pool area is nice, although the rule NOT to reserve sunbeds with a towel was ignored by all. The pool officially opens at 9am, which means the cages containing the mattresses and the beds were unlocked at this time, however, this got earlier each day due to the number of folk loitering around their chosen 'spot' just waiting for the unlocking. A polite frenzy... more
Convenient hotel but overrated
Spent a week at the La Pinta Mid-March together with a colleague (two male singles) and we were slightly disappointed about the hotel. First, the elevators often don't work properly. Then, the apartments have the bedroom towards a rather noisy corridor. On the first floor, there is almost no sea-view, but on the other hand it is convenient to go to the pool directly from the room. The interior of the rooms is simple and kind of run down. Didn't try the food, so cannot make statement. Guests were mainly from UK and Scandinavian, but also... more
Excellant Location - Very Friendly
Our first taste of Tenerife was in January 2003 in a hotel at Playa De Fanebe. We actually went to Tenerife to buy a timeshare, we viewed loads but fell in love with La Pinta. The resort was a standard resort at the time but it has now gained a RCI Resort Of International Distinction. The rooms are bright and airy with air conditioning and a balcony that overlooks the beach and marina in Puerto Colon. The timeshare staff are very friendly and helpful. There are numerous bars and restaurants in NS round the hotel and... more
