Spent 2 weeks there in July with partner and children age 5 and 12. Thought hotel was excellent, staff were excellent, animation team worked really hard and we had a lovely time! Yes, maids did wake you up sometimes but who wants to sleep all day on holiday? Anything we asked for was done, staff couldn't be more helpful.
My only disappointment was the sea - it just didn't seem very clean there was always a kind of film floating on the top. There is a restaurant out a little way on the jetty which was excellent for a lunchtime break. Short taxi ride to Sousse, a little longer to Port Kantoui but we did both a couple of times, well worth a visit.
The indoor pool was excellent and very refreshing after being in the sun for a while. The open pool was salt water which was a bit of a pain at first for the children but they soon adjusted.
Food was a little bland in some places but there was so much choice and my children didn't have chips for dinner once!! We loved the hotel, I don't know what people expect for 4 stars, but we think that rating is fine. Some people did have problems with their rooms but they were quickly sorted out and the ones we spoke to were more than happy with their upgrades.
All of the staff treated us with the utmost respect and were always smiling and courteous, it would definitely be a reason for us to go back. Don't think I'd recommend it to couples though, think it needs to gear itself more towards families.

The hotel was adequate but my boyfriend and I found the hotel so isolated. As a young female I didn't feel particularly safe so we didn't venture out much.
The hotel is lovely and clean and our room was fantastic. The entertainment was cheesy and out of date but we didn’t have any where else to go.
We swore at the beginning of the week we would not succumb to buying a pack of cards (everyone else spend the evening playing) but by the second night we bought some.
We were so bored and would advise anyone young or in need of some variety to go to one of the main resorts.
The food was good, can't complain and there was always plenty of choice, some of the dishes were a bit weird but that’s just down to different cultures.

I just got back on Sunday from Tunisia and what a week - the hotel is nice, clean and staff are very friendly.
I took my infant with me so they gave me a suite which was nice.
One bad thing was the food - it was enough but the taste is so blend- also lots of French people - not many English.
Remember one thing - don’t even bother with the pirate and gladiator excursion waste of money
If you want to see eldjem just pay for that not for the boat ride - not worth paying 60 dinars each person.
Enjoy

Hotel is not too bad, the location isn't the best middle of nowhere, if you want to go to cafe or shopping there is nothing within walking distance. You have to take taxi to Monastir or Sousse.
Rooms are very specious, clean, and bright, with big beds. Some TV but no music channels.
Food is ok, something different every day.
Nothing really much to do. Entertainers are more interested in hassling you than doing their jobs. Watch out for your bags, I had some money taken from my purse.
That all, enjoy.

Only hotel in the area that isn't all inclusive - so can't visit other hotels for a drink or for a bit of variety in the evening.
We got a huge room and two balconies, which was lovely.
It's a bit in the middle of nowhere, though there is a bar opposite, but because everywhere else is all inclusive, it's deader than the moon!
Food was good; hotel was clean - all very standard Tunisia.
A bus stop at the end of the road, so getting into Monastir or Sousse is easy - don't bother with the taxis, they rip you off something rotten.
This is the eighth time we've been to Tunisia but the first time (apart from Hammamet) that we've been ripped off by taxi drivers.
The hotel feels isolated because of the all inclusive nature of all the other hotels - you only ever see people from the Miramar wandering around the area, and they all end up going back to the Miramar because there's nowhere else to go locally.
Entertainment is in a 70s style disco room, but there is bingo every night!
It was ok for a week, but we've had better, and I wouldn't stay there for a fortnight.

Nice, clean hotel, would class as 3 star, not 4 as advertised.
Staff polite and helpful, rooms cleaned and linen and towels changed daily.
Food varied and adequate, even for vegetarians.
Close proximity to Monastir and Sousse (8TND taxi ride). Ideal for golfers, Palm Links Golf course is only 100yds from hotel and very reasonably priced.
We paid 56TND per round (£23) and hired a club car for 25TND (£10).
The course would suit low and mid handicappers alike, a good test without being too technical.

It was awful! I am warning anyone who is about to go; do not!
To start, when you arrive be prepared to wait as their records are very dissimilar to yours! We booked two suites with inter-room access. But we were given two basic rooms on floors one and three.
The people were rude and didn't understand the fact that it wasn't what we ordered. So we decided to sort it out in the morning when someone who could speak English was at the desk.
We walked into the rooms and right back out, there were stains on the floor, bed sheets and even the ceiling, some of the lights didn't work and the smell was disgusting. So they moved us into a single suite.
After a rough night’s sleep we went down to go for a dip in the pool, instead we were harassed by salesmen.
We finally got away from him only to find all the sun beds gone and kids screaming and running around the salt water pool, with the rep's encouraging the behaviour.
The food was quite nice; infact is was so good that all the stray cats from what seemed all of Tunisia decided they wanted some.
The sea was green and looked not too dissimilar from the water in this country, there were rats running around the lobby; there is infact too much to write on how bad this place was and so I will say the positives: ... the hot woman in the gift shop? ... Not a lot else.
And I know you’re thinking oh that’s just one person, trust me there are enough bad things here to happen to at least twelve, so if you want a nice holiday don't go!

Nice hotel, but I have to say that it's not 4 stars at all. Maybe 3. But then again when I look at the price I paid I am not surprised (only £470 for 2 weeks half board).
The rooms are very specious and bright, clean. The cleaner never let you sleep longer than 9.30, even if you put sign (do not disturb) they will make so much noise outside that you will wake up.
Food is ok, every evening something different, I wouldn't recommend tea or coffee.
Most of all we enjoyed the weather over 30 degrees every day. So you can relax and enjoy the sun!
Every day at around 4pm pancake man makes fresh pancakes by the pool. You can have it with sugar and lemon or chocolate or cheese. Very good!
There is always something to do in that hotel. A lot of activities if you only want to have fun. You can play crazy mini golf; have fitness classes in the morning, play volley ball, darts, and many many more. It is a very lively hotel.
They have a disco on the jetty, if it gets too windy; there is American Bar inside the hotel opened till 2am. They also run different show every night; I liked strong man show, lots of laugh.
You can play bingo every night too, but don't cheat because you can end up in the swimming pool (very funny).
Everyone smiles and is very polite and friendly. They make you feel welcome the minute you step in to reception.

After reading some of the comments from people who have stayed hear I was a little bit unsure. But when we arrived we were greeted very well at reception and given our key to the room, which was clean and tidy, there were no lifts but fortunately we were on the first floor overlooking the pool and beach, we did have some noise late at night as we later found out we were over the al la carte restaurant.
The food was basic for what we paid for the holiday. I did think it was maybe not up to a four star hotel maybe only two star.
The week we were there we got lots of mosquito bites, so make sure you take some cream and antihistamine with you even if you do not normally get bitten!
Take a trip to El Port Kantoui, the harbour was lovely. Would certainly recommend you try it for a week.

A clean and spacious hotel, with large bedrooms and beautiful grounds. Plenty to eat if a bit monotonous.
The staff were friendly and helpful. TV in each room showing mainly foreign channels BBC World kept being "scrambled", a pity since it's the only channel in English.
Supermarket across the road sells cheap bottled water, five times cheaper than in the hotel. A Guard on the hotel door prevents you from bringing food and drink through the hotel gate. Rooms were very clean.
Although not 4 star, the hotel is worth a visit.

Just returned from a recent one week break and what an experience. On the whole the holiday was one that I will remember for all the right reasons. Staff at the hotel were excellent and so willing to help. Had a problem with our room (smell coming from the bathroom) and were moved to another one immediately with absolutely no hassle.
Looked at other reports especially around the payment for sun-loungers. WHAT ARE YOU COMPLAINING ABOUT FOR GOODNESS SAKE? The beds and mattresses were almost new and washed down for you before you laid your towel on them. They were carried to exactly where you wanted them and all for the equivalent of about £1.25!!!!
The food, albeit different, was ample for anyone wanting to experience another culture etc.
The only fault I would have is how the hotel is graded. It would def. not be a four star hotel especially the bedrooms. I think they are tired and need money spent on updating them. That said, I would certainly recommend this hotel but just bearing in mind it is not Florida or Spain but rather a country rich in diversity and tradition which also includes the different behaviours of its inhabitants.

My boyfriend and I recently got back from this wonderful holiday. I cannot understand where people are coming from when they say 'it's terrible'.
This hotel is quiet, relaxing and the perfect place to get away from it all. The food was good and the accommodation was really spacious, clean and comfortable.
The private beach was beautiful with crystal clear water. The pool was lovely, however we are beach lovers so we stayed on the beach all day.
Entertainment was great and it suited adults, children and older persons. The weather was superb and the only down side was that we had to come home. If you go here I believe you'll have one of your best holidays!
