La Carabela Apartaments

i booked this holiday on the internet through an english holiday company in oct 2007. However on arrival at 9.30pm on 1st july found we were not expected by the hotel as they had not received confirmation from the holiday company. I provided proof of booking and although the receptionist was not english speaking we were provided with a room, however this room was substandard, the fridge did not work and the balcony door would not open, the swimming pool of which there is only 1, not 2 as stated on the website was tiny with only 11 sunbeds around it. There were four flags outside this hotel, none of which were english, none of the signs inside the hotel were in english. I found that this hotel do not actually deal with english tourists, hence the language barrier. I was so angry that i telephoned another company in the uk and paid another £450.00 for my friend and I to move to Las Americas on the 3rd of July. On the whole i was extremely angry with the holiday company as i feel the internet site regarding this hotel and area were completely misrepresented, and am currently seeking compensation. If you're english then this hotel is not for you.
