Ideal Pearl

Having spent a week at the Ideal Pearl with my daughter and my six year old grandson, I can't recommend it highly enough! We arrived with great trepidation at about 7.30am having travelled all night and with me having changed our hotel just 24hours before we arrived as the original hotel we were booked into was described as "hell on earth!" I needn't have worried - the reception staff were really welcoming and pleasant, took us and our luggage up to our room, gave us all the necessary hotel info. Just got back from a week at this hotel and I absolutely loved it! The staff were great and the managers were around every day. The room was lovely and it was cleaned every day, the TV only had a few English channels, but we didn't really watch it anyway. The only thing that bothered me in the room was only having two plug sockets. The food was brilliant and everybody is well catered for with different types of food every day and fruit is available at every meal time.The bar was well staffed at all times and you were only waiting a few... more

After a long day of travelling and a two and a half hour bus journey from the airport we arrived at the hotel at 1 in the morning. We had previously asked for a pool view and a double bed. However, when we got to our room we had single beds and a 'Garden view'. In other words we had a tree on our balcony and could see no garden or anything else because of this tree. My husband and i have just returned from the hotel Ideal Pearl. The majority of the staff give a great servise and although very over worked and under paid keep smiling through out the day and night. The hotel manager however is very seriouse and unwelcoming and can be very rude choosing to blame staff if any problem arises walking round all day looking intimidateing with his phone constantly in one hand trying to look important and barking at staff, The food is a good quality but the same every day and ok if you like variouse salads,... more

If you're planning a romantic break, do not go to this hotel. Be very very careful with your personal belonings. It is highly recommended to hire a safety deposit box. My daughter is currently staying at the hotel and money went missing from her handbag, in the room, on day 3 of their fortnight holiday. When the loss was reported to reception, they were less than helpful.

Went for a week with my wife for a relaxing holiday. This hotel is right on the edge of Marmaris so don't choose it if you're hoping to be right next door to the main strip. You can walk to the beach front bars in about 15 minutes, to the large MMM Migros supermarket (like a big Tesco, sells EVERYTHING!) in about the same. The main strip (bar street etc) are at least an hours walk away. I recommend jumping on a dolmus. They run until midnight and cost 1.50!!!! We used them loads despite being a bit scared. We went to the ideal pearl for a week on the 6th july, five 18 year old lads. The hotel i think is suitable for everyone of all ages, the food was nice although if your fussy you may have to stick to chips, rice, soup and bread, but we expected that anyway as its an all inclusive and they have to cater for everyone. What is it with the British holiday maker? I was under the impression that travel to other countries was to broaden our horizons and explore new cultures but obviously what we should expect is perfect English and good old fish and chips. First impressions this hotel looks very smart from the outisde and in the lobby/surrounding areas, but on arrival we were given a room with no view right near the lobby so we asked to be moved, so we were moved to 4th floor. Room was very dingy and dark, they should use lighter furnishings because the rooms felt small. The rooms definetly did not match the posh decor of front of hotel and lobby....Bathrooms were adequate, but could have done with a bath as well. Shower was diffucult to use. Went to this hotel 14-21st June 2009 with my Girlfriend, mixed reviews really. The hotel its self is very classy, but the rooms are less than basic. a tiny shower room, bed was very low to the ground and quite hard 1 dressing cabanet and a tv ( no english channels) asked for a pool view but had a side view of some waste ground and other residential buildings. the food wasnt as bad as i expected we went all inclusive, breakfst was very continental ( bread, rolls, fruit, and cereal) served between 7 - 9.30 am. lunch was ok,... more
