Hi there, we stayed in La Luna Apartments.
We hadn’t been to Greece in a long time, so when we got in our apartments we were a bit taken aback as it was very basic. room itself was ok, sheets had seen better days, and shower had no curtain, so the toilet roll got wet every time you had a shower! Two electric rings for a cooker, no toaster or oven, but as a base it was fine. (we are going back next year, so it wasn’t that bad)!!
The food was very nice, the pool was good and a decent size. No air con though, just fans that weren’t quite up to the job (15 euros for 2 weeks).
It is run by small family who are extremely nice people, most of the guests go back year after year and they made us feel welcome.
We found Stalis to be very nice, lots of good bars and restaurants. Lots to do, although it was too hot to do much more than stay around the pool all day (which kept the kids entertained).
Aquasplash Water Park was good, but we wish we had tried Star Beach, they have go karts, horse riding and Water Park.
With the next town a ten minute bus ride one way and Malia a half hour (enjoyable) stroll the other, you always had somewhere different to go.
We thoroughly enjoyed Stalis, the kids can’t wait to go back.

I stayed in La Luna from 20/07/04 - 27/07/04 and had a terrible time. Our apartment was just above the bar, and people made noise, got in to fights and behaved inappropriately every night till the early hours (4-5am). Apparently this was normal and the staff did very little to prevent it. Our room, though spacious, had a shower hanging on a coat hanger, and the window fell out and injured the person I was staying with. From our hotel, the main road, which runs from the West to the East of Crete (equivalent to our M1) was less than 20m away. Large lorries, trucks, cars and motorbikes raced down this road from 5am to 3am the next day... 22 hours a day.
We had an awful time. When we complained to LIBRA HOLIDAYS, they told us that this was all in the brochure. Believe me it was not. Crete itself is beautiful, go and visit. However, don’t stay here.

This will be our 7th time at La Luna so you will realise that we enjoy our time there.
The apts are basic but always clean. We have become great friends with the family 0wners who are very nice people. Yiorgos + Thoxis are great and always willing to help with any problems. His mother & father make everyone a meal once or twice a week with no charge.
Most of the guests have been many times so it can’t be bad. The bbq's are a must on a Sunday night food is excellent and well worth the money (5euro). Karaoke is next watch out for Thoxis Presely (ha ha). Stalis is a very small village but lots of nice friendly tavernas and restaraunts reasonably priced meals.
The beaches are always busy early morning till late evening gets very hot take care. M. Lamb, Sunderland.

I went to Crete last year from the 31st august - 7th September. I went with 2 of my close friends, and we were all around the age of 18-19. I cannot really complain, because I had an excellent time. The families who also stayed in the hotel at the same time were very nice and warm.
George and his family, who run the hotel......were excellent. They cooked a meal, for everyone who stayed in the hotel, twice a week in the hotel.
The hotel rooms were very basic, but I can not really complain because it was nice, clean and tidy.
The shower was very small, so the bathroom, was always soaked. This appartments were excellent, because you were just 10 minutes away from Malia resort,20 minutes from Hernssions resort and down the road from the heart of Stalis resort.
The swimming pool in the hotel is top class, very clean and nice.
Overall, can not find a real fault in the hotel, because we all enjoyed our stay, and we are definitely going back this year.
P.S. Only fault, could not bring back any females............HA HA HA HA.........
