Hotel Antique

Basic rooms, very good service This place is a small, family-owned hostal with fewer rooms. Location is great, right next to the blue mosque, hagia sophia, rooms are basic but clean and tidy , and the staff are the nicest people. They helped being able to say a few phrases in Turkish

We were a bit apprehensive at first as could not find any reviews on this hotel, however when we arrived we were very pleased with our room and the welcome from the staff there. Our room, no.10 had a small balcony which overlooked a quiet street and houses across the street with friendly neighbours who gave us a wave. The room was basic but very clean with comfortable beds and soft duvets. Small clean newly tiled bathroom but always had hot water and fairly good pressure shower. We stayed there for 3 nights and we did not have any problem at all. Also, i can easly say that we enjoyed our staying there. There are still many things we would like to do in istanbul and we will go that amazing city again. and we dont think to search for another hotel for sure.

Very small room, terribly uncomfortable small bed, semi helpfull staff eager to collect the hotel dues. On the upside the location is good (close to all tourist attractions in Sultanahmet). Would not stay here again.

I stayed at Hotel Antique in June 2008. Our room was clean and in good condition. The staff were very friendly & welcoming. The breakfast on the roof top terrace was fresh & very good. The view of the Bosphorous Strait from the terrace was lovely. The hotel is within 5 min walk of the Blue Mosque and Aya Sophia and many of the best sites of Istanbul. I would recommend this hotel to friends visiting Istanbul.

If you want a toilet INSIDE the shower with you that you can NOT even sit on because your legs can NOT be in front.....Sit sideways and use it, if you can, the rooms are about the size of the bed so just try to open and close the door without having to squeeze around it first!!!!! Over priced and the desk does NOT take any phone messages although you might expect that is one of their duties! For this price, you CAN do better and be a hell of a lot happier!!!! Do NOT be influenced by all the positive reviews. I was. I will not stay here... more

We stayed at the Antique as a party of 10 from 15th to 18th May 2008. They arranged the Airport transfer at a very reasonable cost. The rooms were small and not at all fancy - but clean and we slept well. The breakfast on the roof terrace was excellent - as were the views from the roof terrace. Great location for Blue Mosque, Aghia Sophia, Topkapi Palace etc. Staff extremely friendly and attentive - nothing was too much trouble Would definately return!!

This is a little hotel very conveniently located in Sultanhamet. We stayed there for 4 nights in August 2006. We weren't looking for anything fancy - we simply wanted a basic hotel located in the historic centre. Antique Hotel had everything we needed. The room was basic, but had a lovely window in the traditional Turkish style. The bathroom was very small, but since we spent most of the day touring the beautiful city we didn't care. the man running this ANTİQUE hotel( Mustafa :)) is the best man in Turkey by far. if you want to feel at home and meet the most friendly atmosphere just book there right now. what else? good condit ions and 24 hours helping service and so on...............[--]r mustafa booking GSM & SMS
