Sep 2011, Mr M Quill

just returned and always like to leave a review, good or bad. ekinci is is one of the best places ive stayed in turkey. clean and comfortable however i did find storage for a family of four (2 teenage daughters) a bit poor. the only other thing i could complain about was no where to put my soap in the shower, lol
as for the sunbeds, we found beds were being reserved before we got back, usually 2:30ish. we just thought if you cant beat them, join them. if we were going out in the mornings we never put towels out and there was always enough when we came back later. had a fantastic time and would definatly go again. staff are fantastic and no hassle to stay in.

  • Holiday Date:Aug 2011
  • Advice: its in a quiet location but a 10 min walk to all bars and resturaunts
  • Board Basis:self catering

The first day of the holiday was not very good as we was in the attic and it was 5am and it was very hot there was no air con in the living where the children slept on the sofa beds, it had a very low ceiling (you must have to a dwarf to go in the attic). It was to hot in the day time and at night even just to sleep there, in the bed it had air con but as soon as you turn it on it is too cold so you cant sleep in any place. We went down to the pool and all the sunn beds was gone, so we went to the beach the beach was 10 lier for 2adults and 2children for sunbeds. The sea was very nice but it was just to hot. Next day we went and got the sunbeds at 8am we laid our towels down and then the owner of the bar at bamama took some people towels off as it said on a sign that you must lay your towel after 9am but a tip lay with your towel untill 9am then you can leave. The bamama staff went round nearly everday with a sign saying please do not bring food or drink round the pool, even water but the bamama staff was charging 1,50lier for a bottle of water when you could just go round to the super market discount store and get it at 0,30 lier just. On the 5th day in we got moved into a different appartment and it was soo much cooler. Around the pool was a very nice big swimming pool and a water slide which was very fast it open at 12 finished at 6. In icmeler it is very quiet and very friendly i recommend robin hood resaurent the staff are very funny and friendly their was alex, eddie, jack and selguk aka bugsy. also i recommend romance they have lovely meals and real good entainment with break dancing to elvis which was very funny and they had micheal jackson shows. Icmeler is a very lovely place to go and so is eckinci palace the staff are soo much friendly and i would go again to icmeler but not the same place. Also if you get time go in to marmais
