I’ve been to Magalluf before though I normally go in march with my mum, and we have a brill time even though its for the weekend. This was my first time I went in October, it was for my 21st. I came over with my mum and boyfriend he had been once but a long time ago.
I would definitely recommend this hotel. The food was 8 out of 10 but what do we except we’re in a different country have read over some of the reviews and glad to say I had nothing stolen from the cleaners, I found them really nice and polite. The hotel is really hygienic always see a cleaner with a duster. Cant fault the hotel or the destination.
LOVE IT

Sep 2007, Miss A Brown

Booked for a week in Sept, half board for myself and my partner.
Room was ok cleanliness wise, maids were great and changed towels every day.
Good points - bed was double and a free fan was in the room. However there was no TV and no fridge!
Food wasn't great! Breakfast was good – sausages, eggs, bacon, etc. plus cakes, cereal and toast. Dinner was fish, fish and more fish. I don’t even consider myself a fussy eater but felt I only ate chips, salad and soup for the week. Ended up eating out a few times, something I didn’t really want to do.
Hotel full of stag and hens when I was there, urinating and throwing stools in the pool. Don't get me wrong lots of nice people but the idiots ruined it for me, ended up sitting on beach as louts took over pool area.
Good situation. Average overall.

On arrival the reception area was clean and tidy, the receptionist was reasonably welcoming.
She gave us room 342, when we went in it was very disappointing as we requested pool view and got a grey brick wall, instantly we went to the reception and asked if we could be upgraded to a pool view and thankfully she said she will upgrade us the next day.
On the 2nd day in the morning we was upgraded with our new room, pool view, very nice clean and comfortable... The food was fantastic, I tried abit of everything and wasn't disappointed once.
The sofas in the reception area are well comfy and every time the sun got too much we just nipped in and chilled out on them.
The only thing that I would say was bad about the hotel was the sun loungers, they are really uncomfy so get a really big thick comfy towel.
Couldn't grumble otherwise... Enjoy.

We were moved to the Sol Jamaica from...
8 / 10
Aug 2007, Miss L Ray

We were moved to the Sol Jamaica from the hotel we were supposed to be staying at in Palma Nova, (which was quite stressful considering the time of night we arrived and the fact we had our elderly Nan with us).
We got off to a rocky start at the hotel as there was a fuss in getting a room to sleep 3 people. They gave us a room with 2 single beds and we had to take a few trips to reception to explain the need for the 3rd bed!
But once we were settled we were pleasantly surprised as to how great the Sol Jamaica was. First impressions are that the hotel is a bit outdated but the staff and activities available really make up for that.
The food was repetitive as it is in most all inclusive hotels, but we had no issues with cleanliness or cold food, everything was served with a smile. The rooms were always kept nice and clean, although be careful with the room locations as some have rather grotty views of the street and can be quite noisy near the hotel stairs or street side. The pool side looked like it had a great view!
We are the family that always tend to sit quietly in the corner and watch the entertainment, but the entertainment team were so good at their job they somehow managed to convince us to participate in all the activities. After that point we spent the whole week playing boules, doing relay races and games in the pool etc etc.
The evening entertainment was average but the enthusiasm of all the team meant you couldn't help but giggle. The bar staff were friendly enough. You should find the Sol Jamaica is a cheap relaxing getaway in a convenient spot.
There are plenty of shops, bars, and restaurants on the door step. Would I go back? Yes, for a cheap break, but probably not my main holiday.

Aug 2007, Mr R.r. Jones

Being my first holiday away with my mates I was very exited. We arrived at the hotel expecting basic accommodation and got it, but not too bothered. My old man told me to get a safe soon has we could, knowing we could go out with peace of mind. I've got to stop there because our safe was entered, not broken into and everything was taken. I reported it to the reception and they didn't want too know. Holiday from hell from then- no money, no flight ticket and no one to listen to our dilemma.

I have been staying in Magaluf with...
10 / 10
Jul 2007, Miss E Williams

I have been staying in Magaluf with my family since being about the age of two, and recently went back there with my friend. If you are young, and are going out there for the nightlife then you are going to the right place.
As for the hotel, yeah its pretty basic but you have everything you need, and the food is alright, but with me being fussy i didn't eat that much of it.
I don't know about the entertainment because we were out, but we heard people saying it was good, and the hotel is right in the middle of everything, the beach, the shops and nightlife! The atmosphere around the pool is good during the day.
If you go with your family then there are some good family bars to go to, and everyone is really friendly except the odd Spanish pig, lol.
Places I would recommend for young people to go are : Jokers bar (facing the front of the sol jamaica) Tokyo Joes nightclub ( if you like your hip hop and rnb) and BCM is a must. I t plays mainly dance music but its just worth going for the experience and the free beer once you get in there! xxx

I stayed here last year for a week....

Feb 2007, Miss S Joynson

I stayed here last year for a week. The hotel was brilliant.
We missed our flight out there in the morning. But eventually arriving there a day later.
The staff were very friendly and the rooms were ok. Tad on the small side. Not enough room for all my shoes… Ha ha. But very clean and comfy.
The pools are great and there is a ping pong table there too. Anything to keep me amused.
The hotel was in a great location as one way is the strip and the other is BCM. So wherever you decide to go your in close staggering distance, although we did get lost for around 3 hours one night.?? No idea how that happened.
The balconies are a good size and 2 seats and a table so you can sit and recover from the sun. The maids were very nice too.
Food was ok and the sausages are very very tasty!!
Going back to this hotel this year hope to see you there :)

My husband and 2 children stayed here...

Nov 2006, Mrs S Wren

My husband and 2 children stayed here and enjoyed a fabulous holiday, the staff were very friendly and the hotel clean.
My son has food allergies and managed to eat quite well without any problems in the hotel. The food was varied including Spanish and English dishes, sometimes you need roast beef when away from home!
The hotel was very central to all amenities and would recommend Western Water park, over all our holiday was great and have booked to return next year.

Apr 2006, Miss CH Holiday

First of all I will start with the positive sides of the hotel. The food was always lovely and different most nights. The entertainment was amazing 10-10 which was on every night and the day activities were a laugh. The cleaners where around every morning and wouldn’t bother you if you didn’t want them to clean you room just asked if you needed clean towels or toilet paper etc.
The negative side is that we got transferred to this hotel and we were all inclusive. There was 5 of us al together ages between 17-21 so were there for a good laugh. We stayed by the pool most days and had a few soft drinks only drunk alcohol in the night before we went out. About the second or third day some of the staff were very rude saying to go out earlier and we were greedy with the alcohol and snacks even though they never make us lunch times burgers etc said we had to pay even though we were all inclusive. We had paid for all inclusive and they expected us not to use that advantage and to go out and pay. But if not all inclusive they shouldn't have no problem with you and you would love this holiday at any age.

Been to Magalluf 5 times now all...

Feb 2006, Miss S Flin

Been to Magalluf 5 times now all different hotels and back again this year to fiesta Sahara!! Have the best holidays there especially after a night out what more do you want than a late night pizza hut stand!!!!
Hotel was nice, basic but one thing to think about get the safe key as we had trouble with the maids they stole 500 pound a bank card and a mobile phone!!! We read about it on the reviews but didn’t think it would happen to us luckily our insurance covered it but did put a damper on the holiday!!!
This hotel is in the perfect location!! Lovely pool and the beach on other side of the road!! The strip is just up the road but it doesn’t get to noisy by the hotel which is fab!! Food nice but was the same each night but we enjoyed it!
Magalluf is the best holiday we have been on and keep going back!!
Pirates is a must see!! And out of the two water parks go to aqua land! Western water park most of the rides are broke or closed down because they are broke!!
If you do go to the BCM foam party don’t wear your best shoes flip flops from primark will do because trust me its more than likely you wont come home with them!!!

I managed to book a bargain holiday...
8 / 10
Jan 2006, Miss H Quinn

I managed to book a bargain holiday in Magalluf so expected the hotel to be pretty rubbish but i was surprised to fond that the Sol Jamaica wasn't bad for the price I paid. The rooms were small but had all the basics that we had requested with our holiday. the beds were comfy and the bathroom facilities were good. Cleaners came round the rooms daily and all the staff in the hotel were really friendly and helpful. There is a safe in every room which I found re-assuring because I wasn't constantly worrying about my passport and money.
The food at the hotel was generally good and there was usually a good range to choose from although because of the central location of the hotel, there are several restaurants close by if the food doesn't take your fancy. The hotel is close to everything in Magalluf-shops, the beach and the nightlife. For people going out there for the nightlife check out Boomerang-its awesome.
Overall the hotel was good and made the holiday more enjoyable as we didn't have any problems when we were there.

Dec 2005, Mr G Howard

Hotel was very good and choice of food was plentiful, and was very good too, hotel just across the road from beautiful Magalluf beach approx. 20 metres.
Full evening's entertainment every night different each evening. My wife and myself, son aged 19 and daughter aged 15 thoroughly enjoyed it and had a whale of a time as it is centrally located for everything, we are going back there this year again as it was a really memorable time.
If you can find any faults in Magalluf you don't deserve to be there, all the essential ingredients of a traditional holiday, sun, sea and sand (oh! And the weather is excellent too!) Plenty of nightlife too with many nightclubs and bars in the resort. Fabulous holiday.
