Submitted By: Mr J HallHowever, on the downside…the pool area was very cramped and what was with the ridiculously loud music that was constantly played all day? Made it impossible to read, sleep, relax or sometimes make yourself heard. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind loud music but playing (the same cd’s) all day long around the pool seemed totally inappropriate. We gave up with the pool and used one of the main beaches in Los Cristianos. Also, the reserving of sun beds by some people was unnecessary as there were plenty (too many in fact); some were being reserved all day and not used till late afternoon and it was not the usual culprits!
The onsite shop catered for your basic needs but was very expensive. We used a local supermarket and just used the onsite shop for bottled water.
The location of the resort in the middle of the golf course made it nice and quiet with a bit of a walk into PDLA or Los Cristianos which was fine during the day but not so pleasant at night. The main road is a pickup place for prostitutes and the track that runs along side is littered with used condoms – not very nice. We felt quite unsafe walking back late at night a couple of times. Probably best to get a cab back after a night out.
This was our first visit to Tenerife. The weather was not the best, very cloudy for a third of the two weeks and it rained 3 or 4 times (although only for a few mins). A vist to El Teide is a must and although expensive, taking the cable car to the top should definately be done.
On reflection, even with some of the negative points, we did have a good holiday and the stay at Green Golf was ok but doubt we would stay there again.

Submitted By: Mr D HayesThe downside to the hotel is that you need to upgrade your room card with money in the reception to use in the bar or the onsite shop. The bar was reasonably enough priced for tenerife but the shop was dear. The problem fell was that it was a good 15 - 20 mins walk into town to find another shop. So go all inclusive, i highly recommend it. The food was a buffet breakfast, it was gorgeous, the lunches were a standard snack menu, and the dinner was a well prepared evening meal.
As the for the pool, The hotel has 2 pools, one which they let children bring their inflatable toys in and the other more for swimming. And best of all one jacuzzi. The pool was extremely clean. THe pool side had loads of sunbeds and umbrellas, the floor surface is covered with astroturf to stop your feet getting burnt, a nice addition in 30+ heat.
We had two apartments between the 8 of us. Both 1 bedroom, which two beds in the living room. The rooms were of a good size, had a decent kitchen and a lovely big balcony. The rooms were cleaned nearly everyday except Sunday.
As the hotel was slightly out of the town, we walked in most nights but got a taxi back, it usually worked out about 4 - 6 euro to get from the centre of town back. wasnt too bad and no problem getting on.
Being the Green golf, its built in the middle of Playa Des Las Americas golf course, I am a keen golfer and it looked fantastic, it was out of season being july but still in perfect knick. About 85euro per round but as we were guests it would have only been 45Euro. Club rental if required would be 20euro and a cart 20euro.
As the for the weather, we couldnt complain, it was between 30 - 38 degrees all week and lovely and sunny.
As the for the hotel staff, they couldnt do enough, any problems or questions I was treated with a very efficent and polite answer.
I will be back at Green Golf again in the near future, hopefully for a few rounds of golf, but i highly recommend it for all groups. We were a group of 8 guys in our mid twenties looking for a relaxed but fun holiday, which we found. We met people of all ages, familys with young children and also young lively ones looking to party, the main thing was our hotel had a policy of no noise after i think it was 10 or half 10 which was great. The staff were vigilant regarding this and suited us to the ground.
All in all, I have done and will recommend this hotel to everyone, I was extremely impressed. The only pity was that i didnt know about the All inclusive earlier.

Submitted By: Mrs F MoncurThe pool rules changed every day, no balls no inflatables even though the resort shop sold them to us. The life guard was on a power trip and made rude and threatening gestures to the guests. Making pig like nosies as she passed and threatening gestures to the kids when the dared to go into the pool with Lilo,s even thought the managment of the hotel said it was ok. She was removed the next day. It took almost 10 days for a set of rules to made and the hotel to stick to. Eventually some pool side entertainment was arranged and music allowed. The pool was the only downside to an excellent resort, its just a pity the rules were not explained and stuck to. Some guests thought it fitting to deficate in the pool which had to be closed on 3 seerate occasions whilst we were there!!!!!!!
If the pool issue hadnt arisen the resort would receive 10 out of 10 as the apartments were first class, the food on the resort was good, sorry cannot comment on the entertainment as didnt have the opportunity to view. Be cafreful with the on site shop as cross charging was happening, hold on to your duplicate reeipts.

Submitted By: Mrs J RileyFantastic location. Fifteen minutes from airport. Jn 28 and sign posted. Easy to find.
Fully equiped kitchen. Great bathroom with big shower area. Maid service 5 times a week.
Internet access 1 euro for 10 minutes useage.
Everything other people have written very good reviews.
The down sides:
With 2 large pools at about 5ft deep, A very small paddling pool. Like a puddle.
Made it unsuitable for non swimmers. There is a life guard, And we saw the life guard used on two occasions. The signs around the pool are poor. ie No diving, And depth.
Maybe? One pool could be made for swimmers, And the other for non swimmers.
Unfair usage of sunbeds. Sun beds with towels on, And not used all day. The first two days. We never had a sun bed, But soon put our towels down early.
Maybe? No Towels to be left on sun beds. If not in use, And sun beds for kids.
Very nice tilled floors. Until someone arrives/departs on an early flight. Again when relaxing around the pool, And the cleaners push their trolley.
The walls are thin. And no Air conditioning.
The prices in the shop or bar. No cash. Worked OK for us, But when everything you purchase has an extra Euro on it. The final bill is not what you expect at the end of a holiday. We used the shop around the corner. The food is good Breakfast/Lunch and Dinner. Now served in the bar area. Dont do the Pizza. Its like a large cream cracker with tomatoe sauce and cheese.
We had a nice meal. Watched the footie, And a nice German couple came in. The Gentleman sat down. What happened next?
He lit his pipe and puffed it like a chimney. Charming. Could do with smoking areas.
No safe in the room. They do have a safe at reception.
The TV is 4 Euros a day or 21 Euros for the week. It only has BBC 1/2. Sky sports 1.
Sky news, And Euro sports. Plus 30 Euro deposit for remote control. More channels, Or
do not charge.
Space for driving range, Putting area, Golf trainer. It is a golf resort.

Submitted By: SHOGIRLI mention the "holiday club" aspect as we are yet another victim of the scam, but when you see posters of supposed "backers" eg Cunard, P&O and certain banks supposedly endorsing the system it is easy to fall prey. All that remains is to try to regain some if not all our money. Hopefully.
On our next occasion we were at Green Golf, which was a good resort, clean, friendly with good rooms and pools, but the resteraunt was quite small with little choice if you didnt want to go out.

Submitted By: Mrs J BostonI would however recommend that anybody staying here should get a taxi back to the accommodation at night, due to 'ladies of the night' accumulating on the main road into town. Taxis are very reasonably priced.
As we were travelling home on a late night flight, we found the washing and shower facilities provided in the main reception area very good and of a high standard. A left luggage store is also provided.
All in all, a big thumbs up!

Submitted By: Mr D + D McLeanThe apartments were spotless and well equiped, such as well kitted kitchens with kettle, coffee maker, microwave, big fridge, good bathroom with a decent shower, comfy beds and plenty of storage. Some are duplex villas with more than 1 bedroom and balconys on both floors.
The pool areas and grounds were well kept, theres a lifeguard on duty at the pool all day. There were lots of sun beds (but I suppose it is January) all clean and in good condition.
The pool bar was good for lunch with a decent menu. we only used it once for breakfast which was OK but I'd like to have used it more before offering a review on it. They run a BBQ night and a Spanish night twice a week on the pool bar, the rest of the week the main restaurant is open. We didn't use it but it had lots of customers which is a good sign.
There is also a small shop, the opening hours are limited which isn't handy and its a bit expensive. We also got a carton of milk from it which was off so I think that the shop is the only weak point of the complex.
All in all a good place to stay if you don't mnd a bit of a walk into town, great if your a golfer - the clubhouse is 50 yards from the front door.

Submitted By: Mrs B LaneGreen Golf was very clean; the Pools were great and the staff really friendly. Would recommend this to anyone.
We were self catering, but you can still eat at the restaurant and pay on the day. Buffet breakfast and evening meal. Also a la carte menu in the evening, and snacks & sandwiches at bar at lunchtime.
