A three star resort. With a five star service.
Fantastic location. Fifteen minutes from airport. Jn 28 and sign posted. Easy to find.
Fully equiped kitchen. Great bathroom with big shower area. Maid service 5 times a week.
Internet access 1 euro for 10 minutes useage.
Everything other people have written very good reviews.
The down sides:
With 2 large pools at about 5ft deep, A very small paddling pool. Like a puddle.
Made it unsuitable for non swimmers. There is a life guard, And we saw the life guard used on two occasions. The signs around the pool are poor. ie No diving, And depth.
Maybe? One pool could be made for swimmers, And the other for non swimmers.
Unfair usage of sunbeds. Sun beds with towels on, And not used all day. The first two days. We never had a sun bed, But soon put our towels down early.
Maybe? No Towels to be left on sun beds. If not in use, And sun beds for kids.
Very nice tilled floors. Until someone arrives/departs on an early flight. Again when relaxing around the pool, And the cleaners push their trolley.
The walls are thin. And no Air conditioning.
The prices in the shop or bar. No cash. Worked OK for us, But when everything you purchase has an extra Euro on it. The final bill is not what you expect at the end of a holiday. We used the shop around the corner. The food is good Breakfast/Lunch and Dinner. Now served in the bar area. Dont do the Pizza. Its like a large cream cracker with tomatoe sauce and cheese.
We had a nice meal. Watched the footie, And a nice German couple came in. The Gentleman sat down. What happened next?
He lit his pipe and puffed it like a chimney. Charming. Could do with smoking areas.
No safe in the room. They do have a safe at reception.
The TV is 4 Euros a day or 21 Euros for the week. It only has BBC 1/2. Sky sports 1.
Sky news, And Euro sports. Plus 30 Euro deposit for remote control. More channels, Or
do not charge.
Space for driving range, Putting area, Golf trainer. It is a golf resort.

A "free Week", to get us to go to a holiday club promotion (originally booked into Bel Air on "Cardiac Hill" up by the Aqua Park, we rejected due to accommodation not up to scratch), having been there before. On that occasion we were "helped" to leave by the holiday club rep, and were put into Oasis Golf resort (first part of the scam)which in contrast to Bel Air, was wonderful.
I mention the "holiday club" aspect as we are yet another victim of the scam, but when you see posters of supposed "backers" eg Cunard, P&O and certain banks supposedly endorsing the system it is easy to fall prey. All that remains is to try to regain some if not all our money. Hopefully.
On our next occasion we were at Green Golf, which was a good resort, clean, friendly with good rooms and pools, but the resteraunt was quite small with little choice if you didnt want to go out.

Having just returned from the Green Golf Resort I would fully echo the positive sentiments previously posted! It is an excellent complex with beautiful landscaping and pool area, all maintained to an exceptionally high standard. It is clear that some thought and consideration has gone into the design of the complex, a welcome change to some resorts. Our apartment was well equipped and it was good to have a kitchen that was not part of the living/bedroom/dining area. However, one disadvantage was the provision of a 'Z bed' for the third person travelling with our party. This was stored inside the television cupboard and had to brought in and out on a daily basis. Although the resort is located a 30 minute walk from the resort centre, the quietness, tranquility and high standard most certainly made up for this!
I would however recommend that anybody staying here should get a taxi back to the accommodation at night, due to 'ladies of the night' accumulating on the main road into town. Taxis are very reasonably priced.
As we were travelling home on a late night flight, we found the washing and shower facilities provided in the main reception area very good and of a high standard. A left luggage store is also provided.
All in all, a big thumbs up!

I HAD THE WORST HOLIDAY EVER IN THE GREEN GOLF. When we arrived the hotel was stunning, clean and had a nice big pool. However if you are between the age of 18-25 and are in playa for a good time, do not stay here. 10 of us went and stayed here, which ended up in 4 members of the group being assulted by the sercurlty guard for being to loud. one of which was a 20 year old female, who was hit to the ground from behind for putting her hands in the pool, after hours. we did not feel safe and had to leave for a new hotel. Our tour operator did hardley anything. he advised us not to go to the police as they would not defend us. when we asked to see the cctv footage of a member of our party being attacked, they said that the tape was stuck in the player. i bet it was. We paid £287 each and half of us slept on a fold down camp bed, which was not comfy at all. The key card system is a utter rip off, very expensive, food is not nice from the pool side bar, and entertainment is a joke. the hotel looks nice, but scrach away the surface and its con.

I have stayed in the green golf resort every october school break for the past 8 years, I always and always will have an AMAZING time there & I think I will be going every year for the rest of my days!
I would especially like to thank & praise the night time security guard as he was absoulutially brilliant & helped me a great deal one drunken night.
I would recommend the green golf resort to anyone couples, young holiday makers & families alike.

Have to add a review for 1st time ever as we thought this accomodation was excellent. The resort is very pretty and very well kept. We had a Duplex apartment which we loved, we had 2 bathrooms and our own sun terrace, it was spotless. Our friends had a Studio which was just as good, also with sun terrace. The heated pool tempted me for the first time in years, the Pool Bar food was very good and varied, unfortunately this usually closed at 6.0 unless there was entertainment. The walk into either town was about 30 mins, we got Taxis at night which were cheap and easy to find, Taxi rank at end of road by hotel. There is building work opposite but not before 8 oclock or after 6 and we were entertained by seeing the design of the house. Mini market stocked a basic selection and fresh baked bread. The best part of the holiday was the excursions from Direct Excursions. Easy to book by telephone, picked us up from end of road and excellent value for money. The guide Leon was brilliant and very informative, we went to Mount Eide and Las Gomera, both were very good saw Dolphins both ways on ferry, had a good dinner and lots of stops for pictures, although our friends went up in Cable car on Mount Eide (not included in Excursion) and saw nothing as it was misty so £20 was expensive but there was snow on top. We had 2 door keys which meant did not have to keep tabs on each other, but keep eye on money card as can run out without you realising but it is a good idea. All in all very good value for money, we would not hesitate to recommend this resort to all types of holiday makers, all it lacked was a bar at night in case of bad weather but that is just personal opinion and may have created more noise.

Just returned from a weeks winter break in the Green Golf Resort in Tenerife. The Resort was clean and tidy, the staff very friendly and helpfull and the food was good value for money. The pool area was spotless and clean, a little short on sun bed space having said that we always got one although we did have to put towels out early and not because of the Germans mostly British. The resort does offer some entertainment tho a little restricted, the entertainment manager ( Norwegen and very NICE lads) was funny and very entertaining. The only draw back is that the resort is a good 20 minute walk into town down hill, a free bus is available at set times the last one been 5.10 pm. Over all a nice resort to which we would be returning.

I can honestly say that these are some of the best apartments we have stayed at in a long time. They are at the top end of the golf course so its a bit of a walk into the town centre, but they are right on the golf course (great if you play which I dont) and golfers tend to be a fussy lot and look for a higher standard than the norm.
The apartments were spotless and well equiped, such as well kitted kitchens with kettle, coffee maker, microwave, big fridge, good bathroom with a decent shower, comfy beds and plenty of storage. Some are duplex villas with more than 1 bedroom and balconys on both floors.
The pool areas and grounds were well kept, theres a lifeguard on duty at the pool all day. There were lots of sun beds (but I suppose it is January) all clean and in good condition.
The pool bar was good for lunch with a decent menu. we only used it once for breakfast which was OK but I'd like to have used it more before offering a review on it. They run a BBQ night and a Spanish night twice a week on the pool bar, the rest of the week the main restaurant is open. We didn't use it but it had lots of customers which is a good sign.
There is also a small shop, the opening hours are limited which isn't handy and its a bit expensive. We also got a carton of milk from it which was off so I think that the shop is the only weak point of the complex.
All in all a good place to stay if you don't mnd a bit of a walk into town, great if your a golfer - the clubhouse is 50 yards from the front door.

We all loved Green Golf apartments and would definitely go there again if we go to Gran Canaria again. Went in November and first 5 days it was non-stop sunshine and temp was 31 degrees. Last 2 days only slightly cooler with a little cloud. Maspalomas is a great place for families. Much quieter and pleasanter than Del Ingles, but lots of great restaurants, and the beach is fantastic.
Green Golf was very clean; the Pools were great and the staff really friendly. Would recommend this to anyone.
We were self catering, but you can still eat at the restaurant and pay on the day. Buffet breakfast and evening meal. Also a la carte menu in the evening, and snacks & sandwiches at bar at lunchtime.

Just back from holiday at Green Golf, was pleased with everything around hotel complex. Rooms were spacious and clean, staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Have 3 kids ranging between 9 and 2 and with the 2 larger pools and 1 smaller children’s pool there was something for everyone.
The meals at the pool bar were nice and the shop was well stocked although a little more expensive than in the resort, but then that’s only to be expected.
It was a little out of the way but it was a pleasant walk down in the evenings when cooler and during the day there was the free shuttle bus so that wasn’t a problem and it meant that it was nice and quiet.
We all had a great holiday and would most definitely go back.

When we booked this holiday we booked the transfer at the same time. It cost us £28 all together. We waited for an hour at the airport for some other folk, who obviously made there own way to their hotel. We wish we had done the same. It took us another hour to get to the resort as the taxi driver got lost. On the way back we paid for a taxi. It cost 23 euros and took 10 minutes.
The apartments were really nice. We were in a 1 bedroom apartment. There is a TV but you have to pay for the remote control. All the time we were there we couldn’t get English channels. They were always breaking up. There was someone at reception nearly every day complaining about it. We did get a cockroach in the room. It came in from the outside. We left the lounge light on through the night and we never got any more.
We went all inclusive. For the evening meal we had a different menu to the paying guests and it was very basic. It was ok as we were there for a week. It would be no good if we were there for a fortnight.
The complex was clean and tidy. There were ample sun beds and many weren’t used.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The only exception was the reception staff. We had some problems when we booked in. (They didn’t have our names down as staying there) so we never got a welcome pack with the info we needed. For the first 3 days we were constantly going to reception to get info and they weren’t very helpful.
I would not recommend walking to the resort centre on a night get a taxi. The road you walk down has ladies of the night working on the roadside.
We went to Los Cristianos Sunday market. You can get a bargain. Be prepared to haggle.
Be aware of the timeshare touts going into the market. They ask you if you want tickets for the market. You don’t need tickets for the market. It’s just a way for them to stop you. There is a lot of timeshare touts in Las Americas. We were stopped by one who had a First choice t-shirt on. Obviously wearing it so you will think he works for First Choice.
The Green Golf apartments are quiet and away from the noise of the resort centre. I don’t think we would go there again. They are a bit too quiet and a bit too far out of the resort.

These apartments are fantastic, we stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment which were very clean and spacious. We were near the pool however the pool was another story.
The pool rules changed every day, no balls no inflatables even though the resort shop sold them to us. The life guard was on a power trip and made rude and threatening gestures to the guests. Making pig like nosies as she passed and threatening gestures to the kids when the dared to go into the pool with Lilo,s even thought the managment of the hotel said it was ok. She was removed the next day. It took almost 10 days for a set of rules to made and the hotel to stick to. Eventually some pool side entertainment was arranged and music allowed. The pool was the only downside to an excellent resort, its just a pity the rules were not explained and stuck to. Some guests thought it fitting to deficate in the pool which had to be closed on 3 seerate occasions whilst we were there!!!!!!!
If the pool issue hadnt arisen the resort would receive 10 out of 10 as the apartments were first class, the food on the resort was good, sorry cannot comment on the entertainment as didnt have the opportunity to view. Be cafreful with the on site shop as cross charging was happening, hold on to your duplicate reeipts.
