What a lovely hotel. Very Spanish...

Jul 2007, Mrs I Smith

What a lovely hotel. Very Spanish orientated but that is a right bonus. 5start food in a 3 star hotel. What a choice. About a hundred different dishes to choose from every night and I seriously am not exaggerating (this is a large complex and visitors will know what I mean). Paella, pizza, salads, rices, 5 different fish dishes and about 7 or 8 different meat dishes, plus pasta chips eggs sausage etc....my mouth is watering just remembering. Something for everyone.
Your apartment was luxury. Very spacious with a kitchen and lounge and a dining table and 2 large bedrooms with safe included. We had TV kettle cooker etc.... Even though we were half board which was very good.
Staff and guests were extremely friendly. Although there were very few English families the Spanish made us feel very welcome and loved the kids.
Quiet at night which was unexpected as there were lots and lots of families.
Believe me I am a light sleeper but we slept with the patio door open in our adult bedroom.
The pool was a nice size and very clean. Entertainment was good and drinks were reasonably priced. A short taxi away from playa de las americas (£4.00 equivalent approx) which we did every day. A small beach bar hut out the front every night that played lovely relaxing ambient music whilst the kids played volley ball with their new Spanish friends.
I loved this hotel and will definitely be back again. What a relaxing holiday with a bit of action in the day for a few hours (just the sort of holiday we all wish for).

The Jardin is a very friendly hotel....
5 / 10
Dec 2006, Mr E W Hutton

The Jardin is a very friendly hotel. Very clean. Even though the bus service is very good and is right on the door step. But it needs to consider getting a free bus shuttle for its guests, as the hotel is far from the entertainment and beaches.
For self catering it should have a full kitchen, not just a two plate stove and a small fridge.
Kettel and toaster should be in the kitchen and not rented out for a price. A Microwave should also be considered, not everyone wants to eat out ever night.
Other wise we enjoyed our stay.

This was not our choice of...

Oct 2004, Mrs M Pettigrew

This was not our choice of accommodation as Alpha rooms transferred us on arrival. We were not pleased.
However, it is situated on the seafront and the high floor rooms at the front have a lovely view. There is a very small area of sand (man made) but otherwise it is quite a walk to a beach where you can swim.
The pool area is large and spacious with plenty of loungers - soft, comfortable mattresses available for 1 euro per day and the pools are large and kept very clean.
The accommodation varies from studios to 1 bed apartments with a separate lounge with sleeper sofa. Kitchen we had was pretty limited - 2 rings and fridge - not really suitable for self catering. There was no air-conditioning and no fan, which meant we slept with the patio door and windows open.
The hotel did have entertainment for adults and for children, but otherwise there was little to do in the evening. There are several superb fish restaurants very close at hand - definitely not to be missed.
This was supposed to be a 3 star, but for Tenerife, I felt it fell short of this. If you want a quiet holiday away form the bustle and near the sea with a nice pool area, this aparthotel is fine, but there is such a choice in this huge resort area that I think, whatever your preferences, you could find a better hotel.
