We (wife and 2.5 year old) have been coming to Del Duque for years. It's a beautiful place and an excellent resort which cannot be faulted. If you don't like Costa Adeje then it's you not the resort. We've stayed in some nice hotels but decided to go to an apartment as it would be easier especially around breakfast time with the wee one. Never again. The apartment was infested and had no air con. We waited over a day for a fan and when we asked to change rooms got absolutely nowhere. The room was old and tired and was just very poor. Costa Adeje has so much to offer don't ever think of wasting it at these apartments.

Lovely and peaceful apartments. My family - my husband and myself, my 3 year old and a baby, and the grandparents, all had a great holiday.
This was our second time at Altamira, and would definitely go back! The apartments (owned by Altamira) are very basic inside, which are fine if you have toddlers.
However, most of the apartments are privately owned so you can book these if you want better accommodation. There is no Air conditioning; however, there is a fan in the lounge, but not the bedroom so it can get quite warm at night.
The studio is quite large, and grandparents thought it was better for them as they got the benefit of the fan in the lounge area while sleeping! There is a kettle, toaster, fridge, hob (very small kitchen) and satellite TV.
The swimming pool and garden area are beautiful and excellently maintained. The apartments are situated at the beach and most have a sea and pool view, ensure you ask for a sea view and a high floor as it is beautiful!
There is a locked gate at the pool (deposit at reception for Key) allowing access to the promenade; otherwise you have to walk down a very steep hill as the only other access point is via reception on the 5th floor which is at the top of the hill!
There is table tennis and pool tables and a cafe at the pool area (although it wasn't opened in May).
The area is very quiet and quite upmarket; with lots of expensive restaurants only 5 minutes walk along the promenade.
However, if you walk further along the promenade (a beautiful walk) passed Duque Palace it will take about 20-25 minutes to reach Fanabe where there are lots of restaurants and shops to cater for everyone.

Very relaxed quiet area to spend a week in. Good value for money. The rooms were well equipped, if slightly aged. Pools were fantastic, easy to get a sunbed at the side and lovely warm water (three pools of varying depths). Residents' access to the beach, promenade and sea through a security gate next to the pool. The hotel felt very safe, as did the area. Mountain scenery around was beautiful. (Just don't park in unmaked bays!) Would use again, no question. Marks off because no in-hotel entertainment for those who would want it. Take ping-pong set as there is a table next to the pools, also billiard table that is only 1€ per game. Recommend it!
