My sister and I have stayed at the Antillas many times (she has stayed annually for the past 23 years). However we have just returned from what will be our last visit to this hotel. Our sea view room, cleanliness of room/hotel, staff, were fine, but the food in the restaurant was appalling and cold, except for breakfast. Our opinion is that the quality has gone down considerably. We never saw one person in the Snack Bar. In fact the hotel was very quiet. The entertainment was quite good but you had to suffer Bingo before the proper entertainment. Ugh. OK, we were a bit out of season and Magaluf was very very quiet but we went to visit friends who live in Magaluf. Despite having half board, we actually went out to decent restaurants on 4 occasions. We visited the Sol Cala Blanca in Palma Nova and on our next trip we will be staying there.

Hello. We went to this hotel July 2008. And it was very nice. When we arrived we got the room keys in 5mins . We arrived in the evening and they gave us a cold dinner. The room was normal , but in the toilet there wasn't extractor fan, and we had to open the door of the toilet. The food was very good everytime, we could eat what we wanted. The garden and the beach is pretty cool. There are 3 Swimming Pools in the garden, and 1 under the hotel.
The beach is cool. Only you have to pay for the sunshade, 3 euros/each.
The sea was so beautiful, the water was so clean and nice. The sand was so hot , but it's cool.
Every day, there were some programmes. For example: Grease musical, Bull(toy) ridding, Spinning,Waterpolo,Shooting,Football etc.
We enjoyed staying there and it was Nice.
But it1s true the walls aren't Thick enough..

What an amazing pair of hotels. Right from the start the look of the place and professionalism of all the staff made you realise you were in a place of quality. It had been some years since I have been to Spain and Majorca itself. This holiday was one where you were allotted a hotel when you arrived at the airport so I was very nervous and after seeing others being dropped off on route I cringed at what we might be given but not once we pulled up!
The food was fabulous and the choice for breakfast and evening meal was so vast I must of eaten several different meals in one sitting and each time. [yep, got my monies worth!]
There are three pools between the two hotels and of course the sea for swimming too! Just to say to those who like early morning dips in the sea, I was munched on by something quite big in the water. I was shocked to see no teeth marks on my leg when I swam at breakneck speed back to the beach. Then later I went back out in the water and realised it was just large fish that nibbled thinking there was dead skin or something! There are smaller fish of the same variety that do this in the shallows too but they don't hurt!
The hotel entertainment was so good in the evenings at both the [twin] hotels [they are next to each other] that you need not bother go into Magaluf.
We are a couple in our 40's, kids grown up and didn't mind the families around us as there were plenty places to relax away from the kiddies, if you wanted to. The kids were brilliantly looked after by the staff and the Flintstones was the main theme it seemed.
The beach is just yards away and your right at the opposite end of the Magaluf beach where all the rowdy youths and bars/clubs are, so its quite peaceful
There were plenty of restaurants and the best was Happy House just off the beach path, excellent food and service and sooooo cheap!
So, overall an amazing hotel, fantastic quality and ideal for just about everyone!

We were disappointed that the outdoor swimming pool was closed; our grandson was looking forward to swimming in the outdoor pool. The Hotel next door had on outdoor pool and that was open.
Apart from that we were greeted well on arrival, but our request for adjacent rooms had not been passed on to the hotel, they were able to sort that out the next day.
The rooms were pleasant and clean. The restaurant was fairly good but the staff apart from a few were offhand.
Evening entertainment was quite good, our grandson was able to participate some evenings, and enjoyed himself the staff were very kind to him.
On the whole it was an enjoyable stay.

Beautiful hotel with a great location. You are in a quieter part of Magaluf - almost on the outskirts - so don't have any rowdiness from local bars. You are only a few minutes walk along the beach promenade or main street to all the bars and nightlife you could need.
The hotel food was fantastic. Spoilt for choice and great quality. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Entertainment staff did a great job and there was entertainment in the hotel every night of the week.
I was in a room for 3 which was barely big enough for two. It meant one of us had to keep all our clothes in the suitcase as there wasn't the storage space. There wasn't even anywhere to store suitcases meaning they were sitting around the walls of the already very small room.
The room was shabby and in good need of redecorating. The fridge had at some point leaked and huge unsightly stains were all over the worn carpet. I found it very odd as the communal areas of the hotel were top notch.
I would have given the hotel a 9 had it not been for the inadequacies of the room. The good food pushed it up to a 7.

What can I say.... this was a lovely hotel to stay in. We were greeted with friendly faces and well-spoken staff. The check in was fast and we had our bags carried to our room.
We had a fantastic view of the bay from our balcony, which was the first thing we saw when entering our spacious double room. The room was clean and well presented.
The beach was by the pool with cheap sun beds to rent. The sea and sand were clean and the quality of the food on offer in the local restaurants was brilliant.
The main strip was a 10-minute walk from the hotel and in terms of noise we couldn't hear a thing from our room/hotel.
We only ate in the hotel restaurant in the mornings, but the food was lovely you had a choice of everything from full English to tea and toast with a cake on the side!!!!
We would definitely visit this hotel again, very impressive.

I came back from the hotel 2 days ago and I just loved this place. I stayed in renewed room with sea view. I lived with 2 friends of mine in double room and still there was enough place for everyone. Our room was regularly cleaned and towels were changed daily.
Sea is 5 min walk from the hotel and we had an opportunity to rent a beach towel by swimming pool for 10 euro. I could change that towel for a new one any time I wanted without paying any money for this. I got my 10 euros back when I was leaving the hotel.
The food in restaurant was variable from one day to another, I wouldn't say that there was something exotic or extraordinary, but we always had opportunity to choose meet, fish, plenty of salads, fresh vegetables and fruits, desserts.
The room was really good also because I could not hear any noise neither from neighbouring room nor from the outside.
I'd recommend people go to Sol Antillas, not Barbados, because I've been in B-s and its a little worth then Ant-s.

We have spent 24 wonderful holidays at the Antillas, and this year was our 25th visit. The hotel has lost it's charm and magic. The upgrade of the rooms is terrific and the staff are wonderful, so professional, caring, friendly and very helpful, but due to staff cuts the service at the hotel was slow.
The food in the restaurant was very poor and lacked variety, it was a repetitive and boring menu, the waiting staff were overworked and not happy. The evening dress code was non existent and the restaurant was more like a beach cafe. The restaurant foods were attractive to Russians. The show cooking in the morning was slow and had 1 chef in attendance to cook omlettes and fried eggs, needless to say a queue of 8 - 9 people waiting was normal.
The chef was juggling a hot plate with 2 omlette pans and a gas ring with a huge pan of boiling oil, should a fire have occurred there would have been a disaster! I feel this is not in line with Health and Safety and a great risk to children who were at face level with the boiling oil. The chef could only do one job at a time. The restaurant is not worthy of it's 4 star rating, 2 star and 3 star on a good day. Very disappointed.
This used to be a wonderful holiday hotel but now it is tacky and not worthy of its rating, any one who may have used this hotel in previous years and now visit will not recognise it. Thumbs down on this one sadly.

The Sol Antillias/Barbados are 4* adjoining Hotels in the quiet part of the town right on the beach in Magalluf. this year they have introduced the Flintstones theme into the Barbados where the service seems to have suffered from the last time .
We visited but the quality of the food has not, the choice is great, the dishes are a delight to eat and vary from night to night. The rooms are of a high standard with a mini bar, fridge hairdryer shower gel & soap. The entertainment is of a medium standard unless you have kids or you are in your forties (like us). If you want the hustle & bustle it's a five minute walk away along the beach or ten by the road.
Just outside the Antillias there is a path on the left to the beach there is a great bar at the bottom for romantic moonlit evenings called the bar Chaval it's owner Paco his wife (who is welsh)make the evening special staying open until you are ready to go back to your hotel. The Hotel offer you a membership card to make priority bookings & free late checkouts this is a must for late flights, all in all it's a great place to go if you have children or looking for a romantic Time on your own.

The holiday was really good. Mine and my partner's room was absolutely gorgeous. The room was very large. We had twin beds but used it as 1 large double. The bathroom was really nicely decorated and was really really big.
Our balcony we had was overlooking the beach and as the hotel is the quieter end of Magalluf it was really quiet at nice. The only disappointment we had was the food in the hotel. We were on half board and the meals were in buffet style. Our problem was that they didn’t have a large selection of food to choose from and ended up having the same food alot of the time.
Apart from that it was a really nice holiday and being in October it was not busy as all.

When booking the holiday we were aware that there this is two hotels and the Sol Antillas had 10 floors of which 7 were not refurbished and were in desperate need of it. We requested a refurbished floor and were disappointed on arrival to find out these floors were fully booked. The room we had was on the 7th floor and was not worthy of a 4 star rating, more like two! We had yellow bath water, smell of damp in the room and generally very tatty. Luckily the next day someone had departed from a refurbished room and we moved into it, these rooms are10 times better and worth 4 stars, being out of season the 3 outdoor pools were closed but they looked really nice. You could walk out of the hotel pool onto Magaluf beach. The hotel is ideally situated had a small but nice indoor pool and Jacuzzi and sauna and gym, we went half board and were never disappointed with the food, of an evening there was always different dishes. I would definitely recommend the hotel and would go back again in the summer but a refurbished room is a must have. Magaluf was nice for the time of year we went with a nice number of bars open, easily walk to Torronova strip and Palma nova, recommend Benny Hills bar in Magaluf good for families, and Palma nova gardens restaurant/cafe in Palma nova opposite the beach English run, good food and portions and very good prices, try the jacket potato with Cajun chicken melt delicious! Have a good holiday

Hi my name is John Kennedy, I took my favourite nephew to this hotel and I can`t say enough. wee Jum(my nephew) played all day in their kids club and a team of wild rocking horses had to drag him from the pool aerobics. He looked ever so funny with all the ladies but they didn`t mind at all!
I pretty much go all inclusive every year and always found the portions in USA a tad rationed. Not the case at Sol Antillas, I had a 14 day eating extravaganza. In the words of my idol Stu Francis "I could eat(I mean crush) a grape"!
14 days of sun, sand and sausages mmm mmmm!
