My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this holiday although the weather could have been better. We had a couple of hot sunny days, but mostly cloudy and warm. The hotel facilities were very good, and the food excellent. Staff very helpful. Champagne on arrival! Situated on the lovely promenade away from the traffic. Pleny of shops and restaurants. Room not over big, but had everything you needed. Jane Devon

we spent 2 weeks in this hotel and we loved it ,the food was excellent no problem with people puttin towels on sun loungers[ salou princess take note] plenty entertainment durin the mornins for all ages sori dont remember the lads name who was incharged of it but he was really good
., he went around everybody to see if they wanted 2 join in with the games .THE resort was a bit quiet no bars just only found one that was an irish bar which was good the rest were mainly restuarants the entertianment at nite at the hotel aws good linda won a t shirt lol A nice touch i thought was when u went down 2 the pool u handed over ur ticket and u get a towel 2 lye at the pool with and u got a clean one every day .Food at the pool bar was ecellent and all the staff wer helpfull and friendly

The Hotel is very clean and tidy, rooms are ok nothing special but our bathroom let the whole room down, it needed a recoat of paint and there was a bit of mould on the ceiling and water marks on the tiles. The food was good but not everything was labelled in english so it was hard to know what things were. The staff were friendly and helpful. Plenty of sun loungers by the pool area and not much of a problem with towels going out in the early hours. No entertainment during the evenings, well to speak of anyway. The only real problem was lack of information from our Thomas Cook representative, Julie i believe her name was. Infact lack of everything from Thomas Cook from start to end. Hotel acceptable but choose a different tour operator.

We arrived at Reina Sofia Airport, Tenerife and was met by the Thomas Cook rep, no problems there. He directed us to our coach. My mate and i got on it, to find only 2 other people on it and he said as it was now full, we will depart! We left with no rep onboard and the driver couldnt speak a word of English, so luckily i knew where to find the hotel once dropped off as i'd been there before. Checked in, the room was fine till you got to the bathroom and there was mould growing over the ceiling and it definately needed a touch up with paint or something. Two sockets for the whole of the room, which was inadequate. The rep at the airport told us our welcome meeting would be in reception at 11.30am the next day. We waited in reception till 12 noon and still she hadnt shown. So when enquired at reception they said oh no, its upstairs on the 2nd floor. Our Thomas cook rep was then about to leave, so she had to run through it all again for 4 of us. Thats the last we saw of any rep. She booked me and my mate on two trips, one was a trip to Teide and there was about 4 english in total on the whole trip, the rest were spanish or German. She failed to tell us the price for the trip did not include the meal out, so we had to pay for that. She told us nothing about what the trip would entail. The next trip was the Jeep Safari, which was awful. Again no info on that, we had to again pay for lunch, but this time the price included a camel ride and no mention of that when we booked it. My mate and i were the only two English on the trip, so we had to have our own interpreter and she only translated certain bits of information. We felt totally left out and alienated. Thomas cook should not put brits on trips that dont include other English, their lack of service has made me change my mind about booking another holiday with them.
The resort had totally changed since the last time i was there. There were hardly any English in the resort, virtually no bars, most had shut down. There were restuarant come bars but not just drinking bars. The Spanish were the most unwelcoming i had ever met and very rude. We just felt out of place and very much like they didnt want the English there.
We did come across one bar called the Shamrock, it was an Irish bar and the owners were very lovely indeed and made us feel very welcome. We spent our time there, and anyone now going to that resort i recommend you check them out. They are close to the Hotel Concordia Playa. If it wasn't for them, our time there during the evenings would have been extremely boring, as the hotel itself didnt have much of the way of entertainment. We did find the staff quite helpful though.
I have been to this resort many a time, but i dont think i will go back again for quite sometime. I have fond memories of it and wish it to stay that way.
On our trip back to the airport, we were picked up from reception of our hotel by yet another driver that couldnt speak English, still no sign of a Thomas cook rep. We got dropped off at the airport an hour before check in opened. We checked in and got through passport control and no sign of Thomas cook. Not a company i recommend.

I have just returned from a fantastic family holiday to Tenerife. I just wanted to express my gratitude to First Choice for such a wonderful holiday and that i would definitely go back and do it all again.
Right from when the holiday started at Gatwick check in the service and efficiency has been superb. The flight was on time and the service again fantastic and once we reach tenerife the excellent service continued throughout by the rep greeting us at the airport to the rep at the resort.
The hotel was fantastic and the food always well prepared and a fantastic variety at the buffet. Throughout the day and every night there was entertainment carefully planned and catered for all in the hotel and the staff were all 100%. There was even a Tenerife (canarian ) evening where the ladies and gentlemen wore traditional dress and we had photos taken and after dinner a traditional show to really teach us a little about the culture of the islanders.
I will be writing to the Tenerife Playa hotel to congratulate them on their staff and how much i enjoyed the holiday. So many times i have seen people write in to complain but not enough of us write in when things go right.
Thank you first choice and i am going down to the travel agent to book my next holiday with you right now.

after reading so many unpleasant reviews our party of four myself my husband and 2 friends were worried sick about what we were letting ousrelves in for but we needn't have hotel is spacious scrupulously clean and well furnished the food whilst buffet style was both varied and ever changing restaurant staff unfortunately were surly and sullen and needed an education in manners as did some of the spanish guests but that aside we had no complaints the pool was never too full one couldn't put towels out til pool attendant said at 9 which was great we had great laugh with him we find you get as good as you give so go out of your way to be friendly and speak a few words with the staff its fun if nothing else not a hotel for children animation team consisted of one lady doing what she could in spanish and watch out if you enter anything and win those elderly spanish ladies take it all deadly serious not much night time entertainment although there is flamenco and a folklore evening once a week but grab your seat early or you'll never get in but the hotel is in a great position opposite small beach and adjacent to the famous lagoons all in all we had a great time some people had been going back for 12 years and 30 years respectively so it sure can't be all bad
