Hotel La Paz is mostly half board or all inclusive and has been refurbished to a high standard. The hotel from the very start of the holiday gave us 100% and the restaurant and bar staff were excellent.
The food was very good and the drinks as we were on an all inclusive basis were very, very good. The entertainment was varied (no bingo) and very good with different acts each evening. The hotel was clean and well kept. We would certainly go again when returning to Tenerife.

Dear oh dear. What an utter disappointment.
It was a last second change of hotel because the one originally booked was having building works carried out and this wasn’t explained at the time of booking. My husband is a builder so that was the last thing he wanted on holiday.
Supposed to be a 4 star hotel. Arrived at about 11:30pm to staff that spoke little English. No worries as such we're not in Blackpool.
"Is it possible to have a drink?" No the all inclusive is finished. “I don’t mind paying for a bottle of water" No not possible, and so we are taken to the room through the hotel and down in a lift that looks like it is a service elevator. It was.
Room very nice and clean with the basics you need. Woken up in the morning by the sound of heavy traffic. There is a road that runs through the middle of the hotels 2 buildings.
Down to breakfast and the food is cold and consists of the continental choice obviously, and eggs. Any type of eggs but just eggs.
So go to the pool. Nice and tidy. As the week commences we discover that there is no entertainment, no money changing facilities as both mentioned in the brochure. Food is constantly cold and very limited. Fish sticks for breakfast one day. Still no entertainment.
Snack was a ham sandwich and maybe a piece of cake if you got there quick enough.
Staff were rude and ignorant and a lot of the time the bar was left unattended during the day so you couldn’t get a drink. Mentioned all this to the rep but as hard as he tried it was to no avail.
Then on Tuesday sat by the pool we were greeted by the sound of the revving engine of a stone cutter. They were fitting a new lift shaft. Not mentioned in the brochure or by the booking operative.
The whole hotel and resort seems to be geared up for the Germans and the Spanish, which surprised me really cause I always thought the Germans chose nice places to go, and so have never minded mixing with them on holiday, but this hotel was very basic and unfriendly and the resort as a whole is dirty.
Things got so bad that in the end everyday saw a new problem, and if the fact that the tour company gave us 30% of our money back in resort is not indication in itself how bad this holiday was, then I don’t know what is.
