Flamboyan hotel must have been rennovated because i think it was perfect, with a really good location of having the beach right on your doorstep and really good for young people as the hotel is so close to the strip. The hotel is not really suited to young people as old... more

I went to the Flamboyan Caribe Hotel early July 2007. I went with my partner and three other couples. We are early twenties so went mainly for the nightlife but also sun and entertainment. When we arrived we were really pleased with the location, right next to a busy bar.... more

This hotel is appalling. Our first night we arrived there the bathroom window fell out of the wall! The hotel staff attempted to wedge it in with a newspaper then resulting in a flood. We then had to complain to get our room changed to the floor below. The staff were... more

The hotel was horrible! The food was disgusting and you couldn't even call dinner a meal we used to have- a bit of cheese, ham and pasta shells. This is not a meal and personally made us feel ill on every occasion we ate there. Especially one night when we had what we... more

I went to this hotel in mid August 2007, half board. It has 4* but it is not worth it, 3* are more realistic. On one side, hotel is situated on the best possible position on the beach and not far from water land. On the other, it is situated in the centre of entertainment... more

first time but not last
This was our first stay at the flamboyan and will not be the last, pay the extra for the sea view , the view is stunning , Hotel is very clean and when asked staff helpfull . Food varied over the week and was always hot or fresh .
Not as good as first visit
We stayed a year ago in 2004 and wrote an excellent review on Tripadvisor but returned a year later and were disappointed. The food quality was fine but the variety not so good. Also had two intruders into our room during the first night and no explanation from Reception, even though one was the porter showing some new guests into our room in the early hours when we were trying to sleep! I told the hotel that I had previously given them an excellent report on this website and asked if I could have a seaview room with a small discount - but no discount given so I lost interest. Waiters in restaurant looked disinterested and I noticed that no tips had been left in their jars. So sorry to say we do not wish to return. Most disappointing. Just feel that for a four star hotel there were things lacking, although must say the maid was very nice and the cleaning service could not be faulted.
I'll certainly go back!
Just returned from a week at the Flamboyan, and I must admit I almost cancelled because of the negative feedback, but so pleased I didn't. The hotel is in an excellent location to all attractions in Magaluf and a short stroll to Plama Nova. We had a sea view which was so fantastic and made the stay in the hotel worth every penny. The rooms were very clean and maid service daily, they weren't huge but not tiny either. The food was very good and varied, I have to say I have stayed in lots of hotels and like many people do get fed up eating at the hotel daily, especially when so many other restruants are on hand but the occasions we eat out was because we fancied a change not because the qualiity of the food. The hotel staff were always helpful and polite. My husband and myself were on an all inclusive basis. The hotel is in 2 blocks and each being relitivly small by some standards, however the pool is small and busy but who cares, the beach is a few steps away with hundreds of comfy sunbed to hire. I don't think this hotel is particular suitable for young children if they wanted kid's clubs etc as the entertainment was basic, but with a busy resort on the doorstep with hundreds of bars with entertainment it didn,t matter at all.
Wouldn't go back!
Stayed at this hotel February 2005. It was the first time and the last. Hotel was very small but clean. Rooms were small and basic. The food was terrible. Bar was small - beer not so good! Staff weren't particularly friendly. Rep was rubbish - Travelcity direct. Entertainment was awful - most people filled their time playing cards or going out. This was certainly NOT a 4 star - should be a 2 star.
Not that impressed
I went there in March 2005, with two other lads for the weekend, celebrating a 40th. The hotel is definately not 4 star, more like 2. All three of us were put in a very small room (one on a camp bed!) After complaining we got moved to a room with a sea view, which was slightly better. The food was dreadful, very bland and poor quality. The alcohol was also 'different' - not your usually strength!! For a weekend with the lads, the location was good but I would of been very disappointed if I had gone with the family. Won't be staying there again.
We are going back
We have been to Palma Nova/Magaluf twice this year. The 1st time was in Feb to the the hotel Tobago and then in October to the Flamboyan. We paid extra for a seaview, which was great. We were very impressed with the Flamboyan and are going to go back in Feb/Oct next year. The rooms were clean and spacious as were the public areas. We thought the choice and quality of the food was great. The location is brilliant. We have travelled all over the world staying in 4 & 5* hotels and basically you get what you pay for. We were were more than satisfied we got great value for money The only downside is the bar was quiet and there was no entertainment, but hey you have 100's of bars to choose from right on your doorstep.
not recommended
having just returned from magalluf staying at the flamboyan hotel the resort and accomodation leave a lot to be desired. The hotel was advertised as three star but it was more like 2,the rooms were clean but basic, the bedding wasnt replaced daily just made up and there was no tea making facility. There was also a charge of 23 euros for a very small fridge that would only work if you left the room key in the electricity terminal(which meant it would only be on when you were in your room). The gym was very small and basic ,also the sauna box was tiny, the jacuzzi was usable at a cost of 3 euros, which i didn,t take up.The breakfast was the same everyday as non pork eaters(not for religous reasons)it was very limited scrambled eggs fried eggs and boiled eggs, dinner was slighty better and varied. The resort itself left a lot to be desired and could easily have been any major british seaside with little more to do in poor weather than drink yourself stupid day and night.
Flamboyan Hotel Excellent - food served terrible
Flamboyan Hotel was great on the Beach nice clean room. very noisey late night from Street. The food is part of package . the food was from cans like corn etc. the quality of fish meet poor and breakfast was very poor coffee poor quality. Hotel must be making money on food. we had to eat out.
Relaxation!!!!!
This hotel is the main reason I go back to Magaluf and have so for the past 3 years. Its situated on the beach, the pool has a wonderful view of the beach also. The hotal is situated at the foot of a steep hill but close to pubs, clubs supermarkets if you need or want them. The reception is clean and welcoming and all staff are really pleasant and polite - you couldnt ask for better people to look after you!! The food has a wide choice and is presented really well. The rooms arent huge but have enough room for all you belongings. If you can pay the extra then you must book a sea view, the higher u get in the hotel the bigger the balcony. There are 2 lifts and stairs. The bar prices are quite reasonable but all of magluf bars are. Definatley one to try.
We want to return!
We stayed at the Flamboyan in May and paid extra to have a sea view room. It was just out of season and there was not much entertainment but the food was absolutely perfect. We are both very fussy eaters and normally on holiday I don't bother with breakfast - but breakfast, lunch and dinner! All superb. Staff very friendly! We are watching teletext and will return if we can!
