Edwardian Hotel

for our honeymoon in may 2004 we stayed at the edwardian in a lovely clean double room the staff from cleaner to night porter were all happy and helpfull the entertainment was suitable for the age range staying there and we went home having totally eonjoyed our stay as we always do

Having arrived in Blackpool in the pouring rain , we were advised that our room would not be ready until 3.30pm.I have two children who were tired , cold & hungery.We were not told/shown where our room was.Found it about half an hour later.Room had not been hoovered for a few days , previous guests belongings still in room.Not checked properly.Toilet seat was off when we arrived & became a full-time job keeping it on while we were there.Restaurant Staff ( especially the Scottish one - sorry I do not know her name ) was very good , friendly &... more

The hotel is brilliant all the staff were very helpful and the entertainment was brill.they had a little assistant who was brilliant at the job and helped the d.j with everything. the room was clean and tidy but i would of preferred a sea-view even but there was none left.i will go back and visit all the time and really enjoyed my stay. its worth the money so go and stay there !!!

Room not ready on arrival at 3.00pm. when asked would be ready, was shouted at. Given wrong room key, started up stairs, called back and accused of not paying when I had had to hand over £300 in cash before they would give me the key. No apology when they realised their mistake. Found a cockroach in the bedroom, returned it to staff. No Apology, no "would you like to move to another room". The room was filthy, black dust everywhere in bathroom, the towels were never changed. I visited this hotel with 2 friends and we were all very disapointed with everything. Was told that I would be getting a room with a sea-view, but this was not the case, the view from my room, overlooked an old ugly building. We were eventually moved to the room (which we were meant to have) when we only had 2 days left on our holiday week. Just returned from a Bank Holiday Weekend break at The Edwardian ..this was our 2nd visit and we had a great time ....the hotel is clean and welcoming with friendly helpful staff ...the food is good and plentiful ....the entertainment was great fun ..and the bar prices are reasonable .... all round an excellent value for money place to stay.
