Well we have just returned from a weekend away at Summerfields with our 4 year old son. Couldnt fault the accomodation at all, we stayed in an apartment block. The appartment was very nice, clean, and spacious.
However, the entertainment and club room really disapointed us! We had been to this site 3 years ago and had had a fantastic time, the entertainment was great back then and some really good performers. This time we were faced with what felt like a cross between harry hill and chris moyles, constantly telling sexist jokes about women being the lesser race, and about the size of some of the audience members breasts! Not what you want with a 4 year old who asks lots of questions! We thought it was a family club???
The food diner is ok if you want a greasy burger or greasy chips or anything greasy to be honest, and they even have a greasy guy serving you, who has more grease on the back of his shirt from sweating all day if that takes your fancy.
Overall Summerfields is a great place if you just want a base to travel around the local area, as for a fun packed family holiday it just doesnt make the grade in our opinion.
- Advice: Use Summerfields as a base location.

Just got back from a week at this terrible camp, my full family hated it can't fault the accommodation at all was very clean although the cleaners can not speak a word if English, we had one if the top accommodations and yet only had 5 channels on the extremely small tv which was not good as it was the only entertaining thing on the camp, there is absolutly nothing to do on the camp at all no hire shop, no takeaway, the so called over 18s bar was a small square in the upstairs club which was more like a youth club, there is no shop on the camp but there is a shop on the camp next door which is ridiculously overpriced and closes really early, the entertainment in the club was very poor and played kids music all through the night even when kids had gone home by this I mean party dances, it also closed at midnight which left me and my two teenagers totally bored with nothing to do and no where to go, can't fault the entertainment staff at all the can only do what they are asked, but they go above and beyond I feel the staff are extremely unappreciated they do too much and throw theirselves into everything they do, if you di not have a car then you are stuck on camp with nothing to do at all and I mean nothing! We left the camp a full day before we was supposed to due to the poor quality of this camp my children was so bored they were just miserable for the full time and was begging to go home they were so happy when they got home I felt awful for taking them there at all. This was the first time we have ever been to this camp and will be the last i would not recommend anyone to come here go to vauxhall it is 100 times better than this joke off an holiday camp!!!

This holiday village gives great value for money. Yes it is not perfect but then what is. For what you pay, the accommodation and camp is clean and child friendly. All the team work hard to ensure you have a good time from Bar Staff to Reception Staff and the Entertainments Team. Ellie Club Leader Molly is very good with the children and the children love her. Nick and his team work hard to keep both children and adults entertained throughout the day and evening. There is always something to do and some activity going on, but it is up to you if you join in or not. Some professional caberets are better than others, but I think this is the case wherever you go. Certainly the Dayglo show is a must to see, which took place on Sunday Night, both adults and children enjoyed this very much. As with anything you get out of the holiday what you put in. I have had a lovely week at this camp and have booked to return in September.
- Advice: Join in the activities and get to know the people who work there, they are lovely.

Booked in for 2 weeks, but the accommodation was so small that we had to find alternate accommodation leaving half our Party at Summerfields. The brochure information was misleading, giving the impression that 6 people could sleep there. In fact there was room for 4 people. My sons, aged 20 and 21 were expected to share a double bed as were their two friends. Mercifully because we rebooked and stayed at the Vauxhall Holiday Park, they were able to sleep comfortably. If the accommodation was bad enough, we were allocated a place right next door to the Club House, so we had music going right through the night. I felt very sorry for the youngsters who were allocated the neighbouring appartments. I will give praise where do, Richardson's Hemsby accommodation rates high. Hopefully they will re-think for next year.
- Advice: Accommodation needs to be changed, specially the beds. More single beds needed

We have been going to Summerfields for 5 years and so far, we havent found any problems. Ok, the chalets are basic but they are far cleaner than some other well known holiday villages we have stayed in. But the main reason we go back to Summerfields is how cheap the breaks are. This year we paid £92 to stay for 4 nights at Hemsby Beach and then another £95 to stay a weekend at Summerfields, a Haven/Butlins holiday could easily cost you 4-5 times that. The Entertainment is not too bad, although the bass on the music could be turned down, its way too loud. We love Summerfields so much, I recommended it to my grandfather who is in his 80's. He has enjoyed 3 breaks here (he uses it as a base when he is visiting relatives in the area) and had no problems either. The only tip I can give is to go to your accommodation first and check the electricity meter before you buy the cards at reception. Sometimes there is £3-£4 in the meter and we have found this does last nearly all of our stay.

Perfect. Couldn't fault Summerfields at all. We stayed at Summershell and it was the best holiday I have been on. The staff were more than friendly and hospitable. Been here for the last two years and i could easily see myself spending the next few years at Summerfields.

My mum booked this as a family holiday and we had two apartments, I was disappointed to find out it wasn't a hoeseasons when we arrived! It's now trading as a richardsons! We got one key for our apartment and had to collect the other one later, first apartment was ok but the second one wads bad, stank of smoke and to to too it off I found ants all in the kitchen and under the fridge, so went and complained and they did move me to a different apartment. Whilst on our stay it was my birthday and my mum had make me a birthday cake and brought it with us, only to get told that we couldn't eat it cause she found ants all over it! This was a different apartment from the one I was moved from and reception just told me it's a natural thing and what did they want me to do??! My mum also found ants in her microwave the next day!! Pool is small and the lifeguard that was on when we went was more interested in his iPhone than anything else!!! One bloke on reception is so poor that I said to him that's not very helPful is it and his response was not it's not is it!! Now come on this is sOme one whose Spose to be helping me! Entertainment was ok apart for one night where there was a racist cOmedian and me and my family walked out! Overall I wOuldnt come back here even If it was free, is terrible!

just got back from summerfields with my wife and two kids, we all had the best time. you can not find a clearner site they are walking round site between 8am and 7pm picking up what ever bit of litter they can find, cant speek a word of english tho.swimming pool was nice and warm a bit small but all you need really. staff there are the best, molly, emma and simone were so good with my kid in elly club. we had one night of bad enterment when there was a female commedion and no one found her funny but loved the rest. the food at bobbys dinner is good if you just want something quick, bugger, chips, fry up. we loved it there so much we have been back 5 days and have book another hol there a sep. cant wait to go back and have loods of fun again.we book our hol through summerfields and paid £152 for 7 nights but talking to people there we found out that they booked there hol through tommas cook and poid £74 for theres, but we were still happy.

We have been to Summerfields a few times and always had a good time. The apartments sre clean and tidy and close to club house and swimming pool. Most of the cleaning staff sre eastern european and not very friendly but they do seem to work hard.Reception are friendly and helpful apart from one older lady who is a bit of a jobsworth and not the most cheerful.Entertainment was a bit hit and miss, naff comedian saturday night and was heckled off the stage. They entertainments manager (or guy with shaven head)then tried to set up a kareoke mc for about 20 minites but gave up ,seemed he had drunk to much and was a bit away with the fairies.Sunday nighta entertainment was good, day glo puppets which both children and adults enjoyed. Did not try the food at BOBBYS DINER but it looked ok.

This was the frist holiday we have had in England for many years . After this very good holiday at Summerfields we will be going back to having holidays England .
We found all of the site very clean , the accomodation was better than we thought it would be as you could not fault it .
The entertainment was good with the team working hard to make it fun of all.
The inside pool was warm & clean .
The holiday was very good value for money but I think it would have been better if the soft drinks had been a bit cheaper .
The cooked food on side was good value.
We have looked at other sites to stay on wich are more money to stay at but do not offer any more than you get at Summerfields we will be back for our next holiday .
It's not far from the beach or to the shops .
