We too were assigned block A (my heart sank),and yes, it is prison like and smelt 'musty'. We were welcomed by a cockroach at the kitchen door, spotted by our 5 year old grandson! We reported this to reception, and it was dealt with. We also asked to be moved, although... more

rented a private apartment first time doing this. When arrived the apartment was spotless, right next to the pool,complex very very clean. Entertainment at night excellent, food excellent,apartments situated right in the centre of everything. Airport only 10 mins away.... more

arrived 3.00am to prison cell block A awfull were caged in and notice to keep bar in patio door! was moved to c block next afternnoon so wasted 1 day of 7 day holiday. the 2nd room was better view but room was awful broken floor tiles, broken wardrobes cracked coffee table... more

Having read the reviews about A block our hearts sank when we saw our room number - nevertheless we gave it a try. Other people were right - you have to go down at least 6 flights of stairs and end up in the basement level. Your room does have a patio but it looks directly... more

Loved It ! from 2007xx
I stayed in this hotel in 2006 and would almost definetly go back. The area was classed as Playa De Las Americas but was quite a bit away which was good as when we went into the centre, we didn't like it. The area in which we were staying was really clean, although people outside restuarants were very pestering, if they has seen you come out another restuarant they would still try and get you to come into theirs. There were plenty of shops and restuarants nearby. The beach was also very close and had beach bars which were also really handy.... more

Booked through Flyglobespan. Checked into a room which can best be described as a cockroach infested dungeon! The patio(below road level) doors wouldn't lock, cupboard doors hanging off. 2 moves later we got an ok room until the roaches found us and started a nightly assault which our children did start to find amusing, wife didn't! Pool area was in dire need of maintenance, lots of broken/loose tiles. plus points were location and sunbathing areas. but overall we will never stay there again

We were a party of two adults and two children so booked a one bed apartment. When we arrived late on the first night we were put into a studio ie bedroom, lounge and kitchen in one room with a view of the road - there was no cot for our little one (as booked) and the balcony was high, too high for a two year old. We complained and were moved the next day to a nice one bed apartment on a lower floor, however, whilst the general cleanliness was good, the fridge was rusting badly and the door wouldn't close, the wardrobes in the bedroom had... more

We have just got back from these apts and they fantastic we had a sea view and the size of the apt was very spacious the only thing is that they do not have aircon so you have to rent a fan there is a ceiling fan in the lounge but nothing in the bedroom. they are a fantastic location just a stones throw from the beach, bars and restaurants the staff were really friendly and very helpful and the maid service was excellent. they a lovely big pool if you prefer other than the beach plenty of beds and lots of space

Sol Sun Beach Apts. Fanabe Beach Beach front location with a large roof terrace [acclimatised pool]. No roads to negotiate to get miles Eastwards[quieter the further you go towards La Caleta] or westwards towards Los Cristianos[ bit too busy for us and it still has time-share touts] You can have as restful or as busy a holiday as you like at the Sol Sun Beach Apts. Restaurants are cheapest arond the Pto Colon Area, about 5 -10 mins walk west or for a little more refinement, stay around the Fanabe area. Beaches... more

I thought this hotel was fine with no problems. I would go back to the hotel although one problem was the enterainment. It was not to high standard as we had to go out every night as there was practically no entertainment at all. I found this hotel clean and the staff friendly. I would recommend this hotel

Very poor hotel, this is not 3* more like 2* at a push. Might have been 3* 10-15 years ago. This holiday was booked online through Fly Globespan. Rooms very basic with many botched repair jobs, i especially liked the rusty nails protruding from the wardrobe interior. The first room we stayed in was like a jail cell - after requsting a move we were relocated to another room which looked onto the pool which was better until the cockroaches started to appear. I requested that they were treated 3 times but eventually dealt with it... more

Hotel was very basic in the extreme, although clean. No airconditioning - ceiling fan was very inadequate. Hotel caters for mostly Germans and Dutch clients Satellite television at 5euros a day is all German/Dutch/Italian Apartments in Block A ground floor have no views from their their terrace

The Sol Sun Beach is located right next to Playa Fanabe in the Costa Adeje area. The location is fabulous and next to some really good restaurants, shops and bars. Having been to this area for the last 6 years, this is one of the best locations to be in as you can also walk to Puerto Colon which takes only 5-10 minutes. The apartments themselves were pretty basic although perfectly adequate and clean. We were in a studio overlooking the ocean and promenade and our friends were at the opposite end of the resort. This hotel is worth going to, its staff is friendly and it is located right next to a beautful beach, the surrounding area has great shops and entertainment, we found out whilst being on our trip that this hotel can be booked quite cheaply on TenerifeOnline we can say from our experience that the adventure club has offered us a very excellent service on car rental and provided us with great information on trips of where to go and what to do :)
