We have just returned from 2 weeks at Zeus, what a lovely place to stay. We have been to Afitos several times over the last 12 years but have not stayed here before. It is by far the best accommodation we have been to, the bathroom was very clean (bin emptied daily) as was the living/sleeping area, the kitchenette was functional and our room was cleaned regularly and thoroughly. The pool area is small yet perfectly formed - just right for a cooling dip! There is a pool bar for drinks/light snacks if you want them and breakfast is available for a small supplement.
Good restaurants in the village are Gastronomia (just off the square) and if you have had enough greek food and need a great pizza try Nikos (near the church). The gyros place at the square has the cheapest and strongest ouzo @ 3 euro for 2, all the locals we met (some we knew from previous visits) were charming. We will be back!
