This was our second visit to Duni and, once again, we had a wonderful holiday. The weather was fantastic with the sea temperature being about 26 Degrees every day. Even though the internet said that the hotel was fully booked, it didn't seem crowded during the day time and we were always able to get sun beds around the Marina Palace private pool.
In the evening you had to be down to dinner at 19:00 sharp, otherwise you'd have to wait for a table to become vacant, not a problem if you prefer to eat later anyway. The plus side to this meant that there was always a great atmosphere in the restaurant. We did eat in the a la carte Italian restaurant one night but we weren't impressed with either the service or the quality of the food and so didn't return there in our second week.
The choice of food in the hotels was very good and even by the end of our second week, we still found new foods to try most days. The Sozopol restaurant (near the ampitheatre) had a great pasta choice at lunchtime and for dinner. We would recommend trying the sandwiches during the daytime, which are made to order and are available at two small stalls, one near the main pool and the other near the beach bar.
The bar staff were particularly friendly even though their English wasn't great. They always made an effort to greet us when we arrived in the evening and were most attentive to our requirements.
The maid service for our rooms couldn't be faulted.
If you like a lively holiday, then Duni may not be the best choice for you. We were quite content with the choice of the nightly disco and the entertainment at the ampitheatre. All in all, this was exactly the holiday we'd hoped for and we'll certainly consider returning to Duni again in the future.
