I had the great misfortune to book a holiday at Appin holiday park. I booked a caravan that I was told had a Loch View (Thats a laugh you could see the Loch if you cut down all the trees in front of the Caravans). I arrived at the park and to my dismay discovered that the park has a major road running between the carvans, and the Chalets not very good for children in my opinion. I booked a caravan and on arrival was told by Mr Wier the park Director that he had given our caravan away to another family 2 hours before we arrived and that he would give us a chalet instead that was an amazing thing to do its incredulous. The chalets I was told are luxurious, well if you call smelly damp odour, furniture that looks like it comes from from the 50's and a chalet (Shed) with a window that is in desperate need of a good lick of paint Luxurious then this is the place for you. I had travelled 7 hours to get to this site and I was so disgusted that I immediately got in my car and told Mr Wier that he needs to get his chalets updated and his descriptions of the park changed as he is mis leading the public.
I left the Appin Park after telling Mr Wier that I would never stay in his awful chalets and Mr Wier in desperation to fill the Chalet said I could stay in the chalet that night RENT FREE (now that is desperate ). I refused to stay at this park and I just want anyone thinking of booking this park to BEWARE BEWARE.
This would have been a Holiday from hell so I got in my car and left, Mr Wier should be made aware that theer are lovely Parks in Scotland and he should get his Appin Park into the year 2008 and get out of 1958.
