castle brake is the best campsite we have been to so far, theres always a group of us that go and we all agreed we would definately be back. the children loved it, the cleanliness of facilities was fantastic, we loved the idea of family bathrooms as these were a great help. We will definstley be returning time snd time again

We have just got back from a week at Castle Brake Holiday Park. The site was fantastic, it was quiet and set in beautiful surroundings. The caravan was immaculately clean and we were impressed by the standard of accommodation. The park is ideally located to make the most of the local area and with three young children to entertain, there was plenty to keep everyone happy. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We couldn't fault a thing and would happily return again. We can't comment on the restaurant as we didn't eat there.

my family own a caravan sown at this sight and i spemnd 6 weeks a year down there. they love children as i have been going there since i was 11 im now 16 and my nephew goes down and hes 4 amd all my friends are around 5 to 14 years of age. the sight is immacualte. the bar is cosy and the food is delisious. i would reccomend it to anyone. it is situated in the cvounryside but you can see the river exe form high points on the sight. there are wild birdas and it is a david bellamy award winning sight.
maria it has seince been taken over by ladram bay. if you want an loud all singing and dancing sight go tjhere a quiet sight with a bit of fun castle brake. personaly id go castle brake all the tme. ladram bay is commercail and full of folks from 'councill' estats. no offence intened.

We Stayed at Castle Brake in August 2008, It is a very beautiful part of Devon, with lovely walks and wildlife. The site was spotless and the resturant is nice the meals are very good value and wonderful home cooked food. The staff were very helpful and could not do enough to help. The weather was not very good but it was our main holiday of the year so you have to make the best of it. I would reccomend Castle Brake to anyone looking for a holiday in the area.

CASTLEBRAKE IS A NO NO. the caravan was dirty, stuck in corner with high hedges all around unit 18 was ment to be top model but was rubbish. club house food was [--] and they did not want kids on this site. car parking was a joke?. and lights out at 10pm every night. want a good holiday then give this site a miss

We stayed in one of the brand new caravans (2011) this august. The caravan itself was very well decorated with on-suite facility in the main bedroom. The location was easy to find using the sat-nav but I guess it's the opposite if you are using the map. The site is very peaceful, ideal for relaxing quiet breaks enjoying the woodlands. My only concern in the caravan was the location of the carbon monoxide detector. There were 2 and both were too far from the source of gas which could easily be remedied. Overall, our stay was perfect for our taste.
