Hotel Sporting
Good things:
- Fantastic location - 2 mins to the 4 man chair lift.
- Adequate breakfast (coffee/hot chocolate/cappuccino etc... a fresh croissant, watered down juice, and bread rolls with jam)
- Small but clean room, with everything you need.
Bad things:
- No ski lockers, and often no space on the boot drying rack for your ski boots, so they remain soggy!
- Noisy! (people coming in late, or people outside yelling til 4am!). Take ear plugs!!
- The temperature - the thermostat is in the middle of the corridor, and it was often far too hot at night.
- No breakfast on last morning if you have an early bus to airport.
- Big signs up saying no smoking, but the owners smoke inside, so everything stinks of cigarette smoke.
- No safe, so make sure you bring a lockable suitcase to lock away valuables and cash!!
Overall:
It's a reasonable budget hotel, staff are nice, despite the lack of English spoken (phrase book helpful!), and it's so easy to get to the slopes! It wouldn't be my first choice hotel, but I wouldn't dismiss it, as it's not like you spend much time in your hotel on a ski holiday! Probably ideal for those who enjoy apres ski as much as the skiing!
