I had the misfortune to visit this resort recently and please please do not make the same mistake and read the reviews.
The place is dirty and very rundown with dirty lodges, entertainment centre is very poor and the restaurant/bar unpleasant.
Expensive and should be avoided.

Having booked for 7 days we left after 2 days as the place is horrendous. From the dirty chalet with no hot water and Damp smell to the awful bar and restaurant that is a from the 1970s...
Everything about this resort should be avoided at all cost!

This place is horrific and if possible do not go as it is basically Butlins in disguise. The lodge we stayed in was poor and very basic and we had booked in for a 7 night stay but left after 2 days and rebooked elsewhere at additional cost it was that bad!!! The... more

We arrived on a Saturday, earlier than planned but were unable to get our key until 4.20pm. The bar was open, but basic and dated with a limited lunch menu. The bungalow was roomy and well equipped, very pleasant actually. The site itself however was very run down, it could... more

Good Points I am struggling to think of anything positive to say about this place, although the weather didn't help. Bad Points I think the site management could be improved. On-going disputes between park management and some of the individual owners. Poor value for... more

Good location with access to Devon and Cornwall
Booked this through Hoseasons as we got a good deal and stayed in VIP3 lodge (lodge28) which had it's own hot tub. Although there were only 2 of us it would comfortably sleep 6. The ground floor had one double bedroom with en suite and access to the excellent hot tub via a patio door and there were 2 further rooms with 2 single beds and a further shower room. I would recommend taking your own pillows though as the ones provided were a bit flimsy. There was also a slight smell of damp which appeared to come from the shower room. You... more
Away from it all weekend
excellent standard of lodge valley vip with hot tub The park difficult to find signs not verygood from main road we had an excellent weekend break the lodge was extremely well fitted two bathrooms and excellent kitchen lounge area onto veranda was really pleasant. the dog was alllowed ( accommodation didn,t smell doggy which was excellent) facilities - pool sauna and tennis courts all used pity no shop just for oddments all in all an excellent lodge - will be going again in the autumn
Maybe Bar
Good points Rooms well kept and clean, reception helpful with knowledge on local area Bad points Not quite as advertised. Bar not always open. You don't realise this until you read the information pack on arrival. I would not have booked if I had known this. General comments Arrived Sat and left Monday. I would not stay for the week. Bar staff can close bar if not viable on the night. On the Sunday I arrived at the bar at 2010 hours and it was already closed. The nearest bar/pub is a short drive... more
I've had better
Booked a Tamar standard 3 bed, smelled of urine, dirty, old and horrible, and I'm really not that fussy! Asked to upgrade but only thing available was a Valley lodge which would have cost an extra £100 per week, ok but not worth the price or a St Annes premier for an extra £50 per week. We opted for the premier which again is nice but for the price I'd go somewhere else, or stay at home. I've lived on council housing estates much nicer than this place. The staff are rude but other than that at least the sun was shining.
