We got there and asked for a balcony due to previous reviews and the receptionist thought he would clever to try and charge us for something that we had paid for ... He said Balcony £7 per night... We said no and then the room we got taken to was 2 single beds next to a sewer and the toilet had been used and there was hair on the bathroom tiles!!!!!
We asked to be moved which we were but still with no balcony....... Baring in mind we arrived with 2 other couples who had both got balconies without asking, i regreted asking for a balcony as it seemed to go against us.
Now we go onto the food..... If you like chicken or fish on the bone which contains the brown bits then great... If you like chopped hot dog, gravy and green peppers for breakfast then great!!!...... Other than that we had 4 days of not eating, as it was so bad we went to nama bay and went to hard rock cafe where chicken and mash never tasted so good!!!
I cannnot stress enough how bad the food is.... It seems to cater for the Russians and Polish only as they were lapping up this mush like it was a delicacy.
I recomend you take in the reviews of this hotel as they are true. The pool area is lovley but it pool is soooo cold its unusable. Also there are so many flies you need to take a very good fly spray and repelent.
The staff in pool are nice if you get to know them otherwise arogant and the clener in our room was fantastic as we got different animals and such like made out of towels which were so good we didn't want to disturb them.
Towel origami 10/10.....Aslo our bed was very very confy.
Everything else 2/10
Will never come here again!!!!!!!
Always recommend The Coral Sea Resort - You definitly get what you pay for

I went with three other girls on holiday to Resta and read the reviews before we left they were not very gud. We had a gud flight arrived and just missed all inclusive by 20mins. When checking in and were given a warm towel to wipe down with and a glass of orange juice then shown to the room. We asked for two rooms joining but didnt get but both were facing the pool. Rooms were clean but or shower just ran cold water but we didnt report it. The food was gud we were told not to eat salad as they washed in there water. There was plenty to choose from which I was surprised rice, chips, mash, plenty of veg. Breakfast was waffles, fried eggs, cereal, boiled eggs, sausages basic food. All inclusive drinks were not very gud vodka, white rum, beer, whisky and soft drinks only, tea and coffee available, snacks not much choice but was nice. The staff were very nice and funny. Cleaners leaving towels made up like crocodiles, swans, koala and a baby amazing. Paper boy comes round looks like Wayne Rooney shouted Rooney everytime he was in the hotel. Booked a trip with rep Quad biking take sunglasses and scarf well worth it except only two toilets no the site.Take on Ipod or an MP3 player because they only have there music but will plug yours in. Nama bay not as scarey as everyone made out either. Overall dont book this hotel if you expecting a five star treatment this is a very good hotel, staff fantastic, food is very gud (except the bird tongue soup). We all had an amazing holiday and r going back next year for reunion with friends we made there. dont take notice of bad reviews on this site judge it for yourself. Big thankyou to all staff and cleaners at hotel had excellent time c u next year. xxx

We didnt know what to expect after the bad reviews that we had read on the internet. When we got there we thought it looked a little small but we didnt let that put us off. The room was clean when we arrived and remained clean throughout the 2 weeks. The cleaner was fantastic, leaving us sculptures out of towels every other day which made it that little more special. The food was always well presented and nice but could do with a little more variety and the restaurant was always clean. The staff were fantastic and made the holiday just abit more co-operation. On my boyfriends birthday the staff organised a cake for him and sang happy birthday whilst presenting it at lunch and the cleaner made a brilliant display with the towels. Massage master gave great massages but you had to pay but it was worth it and was only a small amount. It needs more entertainment throughout the day and a few more sun beds but other than that fantastic hotel and would recommend it. Thankyou to mostafa and said you were great :)

I have just returned from a one week all inclusive stay at this complex,I travelled alone but met friends and relations who were enjoying a five week stint (lucky so and sos)at the resta. On arrival I was allocated a room with king size bed but no balcony or sitting area, when I complained to the manager he moved me to a fantastic room with pool view and large balcony. I found the food on offer extremely tasty and the coffee was excellent. If there was a particular dish/menu you desired the manager and chef were only too obliging to meet your request. Leek and potato soup, mince and tatties, and a cheese board were welcome on Burns night for the guests still lucky enough to be there. The staff were always courteous and couldn!t do enough for you, they get a pittance for wages in Egypt and they certainly earn their tips. I would not hesitate to return to this hotel as it is fantastic value for money, I can understand why some reviews on this site are negative but I found any small problems were dealt with and that the manager was fair and accomodating.

My daughter and i spent 7 nights at the Resta and did not want to come home! I am so glad i did not read the reviews of some on here before we left as i would not have wanted to go!!
The hotel is small giving it a very friendly atmosphere, staff were a familiar friendly site every day and were most helpful, polite and had excellent sense of humours! Our room was very clean and nicely furnished, the staff cleaned every day and towels were changed every day. One day we came in to find the towels had been folded into a crocodile holding the air con remote in its mouth! Very clever!
The pool was very clean and a perfect size for the hotel. The sun loungers were very comfortable and with huge parasols gave shade when needed.
The outside bar had comfortable seating and drinks were always cold and plenty of ice if you desired. The egyptian beer is very good! The snacks, filled rolls and pastries, were available at the bar, but to be honest after the vast choice for breakfast and lunch i would not have managed snacks as well!
The food was very good, my daughter is 19 and does not eat much at home but filled her plate with different dishes every day and really enjoyed it. I must say their sweets were very tasty and a varied choice of dishes made it a pleasure to eat there every day.
We had a fantastic time here and relaxed in comfort, with on site massage that i did make very good use of, they were the most professional chaps and gave the most fantastic massage and chatted about their country giving you an insight of the 'real' Egypt.
Egyptians are the nicest people, they spend time to share their culture and make you most welcome.
I have recommended that my parents visit this Hotel and i will definatley go back.

My Resta Sharm Hotel, Egypt Review
7 / 10

Ok there are both good and bad points to this hotel, but overall we had a quite a good experience here at Resta Sharm.
Firstly a major bad point is the food. When we first arrived we were quite surprised that the 'all inclusive' aspect was not as we expected. The bar snacks are literally these crappy pastry things, which are limited and we were expecting alot more ie burgers and chips etc, whic they don't do at all. For breakfast there's alot of fruit and these bread roll pastry things, you could have omelettes/toast etc aswell, and lunch and dinner is the same pretty much everyday, rice with meat, with maybe the meat changing daily, so it gets really repetitive. Although saying that I am 20 years old and went with 2 friends both 18, so I think we were kindof expecting more english-y food to be honest. Alot of people probably would appreciate this food, alot of foreigners indeed stacked their plates high and seemed to enjoy it. The chef was always willing to cook you some flavoured pasta, which was nice, so there's always something you could eat. The desserts were quite nice aswell, quite a selection of cakes and jellies etc, which was good. But I wouldn't recommend it food-wise for families with children picky about their food.
Saying that there is a shopping centre about a 15 minute walk away where there is a McDonalds, KFC, Pizza Hut and Burger place, where you literally get huge meals and drink (compared to UK) alot cheaper than here in England, so the fast food was a nice change and value for money! So that's always a good option. We ended up going there quite alot, but it was worth it. So even if the food gets you down there was always that option anyway, but it's just kindof the fact that you've paid for all inclusive so you should be getting the most out of it...
Yes we got abit ill, but alot of people get ill in Egypt! So it wasn't necessarily down to the food. Many people from other hotels got sick, it's mainly due to dehydration etc as opposed to the hotel food! My mates mum went to a different more expensive hotel up the road, just before we went on our holiday and she was ill, so it does happen anywhere. I myself got a bit ill but really wasnt anything to worry about. Plus there's a pharmacy just outside the hotel, with a man who speaks really good english, and sells reasonably priced tablets and remedies.
The drinks were sometimes warm and there were quite alot of people complaining about this when we were out there, especially as they run out of ice alot! So this was another bad point to be honest. Selection of alcholic drinks not great, but what did you expect? In fairness staff always tried to get more ice from somewhere, and keep soft drinks refrigerated, it was the lack of fridges that was really the problem.
The staff here were amazing and was a major reason as to why we enjoyed our holiday so much! A major plus! In many ways it made up for the poor food and drinks etc, as you saw how hard they were working to ensure you had a good holiday! Waiters always friendly, polite and helpful and willing to assist in any way, offereing you the all-inclusive drinks at dinner etc. Most of them were excellent at English. Any problems solved instantly..after running out of toilet roll and informing reception, we had another roll in less than 5 minutes at our door. Room cleaned every day with fresh shower towels etc. We made friends with some of the waiters who took us on a night out in Naama bay, showing us around etc, which was so nice if you consider the long hours they work and for not much money. To make the effort with us made our holiday that extra bit better. They were absolute legends and would go out of there way for anyone. I am still in contact with some of them now by e-mail, which is really nice as I didn't expect to make such good friends with them as we did. One waiter was particularly helpful and even offered to take another family we met to the 'Old Market' for a look around. They just seemed like genuinely nice, decent people. The main manager would regularly come out and talk to hotel guests, about any queries. A really friendly man. The taxi people at reception were also really helpful and would give you a good price to wherever you wanted to visit. People on reception generally good at english and helpful.
The rooms are furnished really well, and have everything you need really, which was a major good point. TV ok with loads of foreign channels and 1 English news channel. Air conditioning amazing and remote controlled. Curtains kept sunlight out well.Kept really clean aswell, cleaners made things out of the towels they supplied which was a nice, impressive touch. Cleaners were SO friendly and honest..after leaving my wallett on my bed, the cleaner actually came out to find me by the pool to tell me to lock it away in the safe! Bathrooms clean and nice, shower not very powerful, but not really an issue. Sometimes weird smells would come from the toilet but they air freshened it every day, so was ok. Safe in room easy to use. Beds a little hard but fine really. If the resort was really busy then perhpas they would need more sunbeds, but even on busy days we managed to get 3 beds somewhere, bearing in mind the hotel is not huge anyway, so pool was never heaving with people. I can understand how some people would get a bad window view if they were positioned at the back of the hotel, we were lucky to have a downstairs room that literally led out onto the pool. There is not a building site on this hotel though! Alot of Sharm el Sheikh is being rebuilt/renovated, so it is not unusual from any hotel to look out and see some building work being done, which only happnens during the day anyway, and does not even disrupt this hotel with any noise etc!
I actually found the pool really nice. It is not very big so would definately not recommend it for families with young children. There was a bit of debris at the bottom of the pool, as there is in any pool though! Every night you would see the cleaners netting out any debris, fixing any lights etc. Pool was impressively lit at night. One night we stayed out late so we saw the staff putting the chlorine in the pool, showing that it was kept in a good clean condition. We also saw staff conducting regular water quality tests (pH etc) showing that the pool was a generally clean place to be and not unhygenic at all! The pool area was kept immaculate! Any litter picked up. At one point there appeared to be more staff cleaning around the pool than there were holidaymakers. They offered a free test of using some diving equipment once a day, which was a nice extra that anyone could do. They allowed flats and li-lo's in the pool. Middle of pool had a raised section with a fountain on..people were running along this which was obviously unsafe, as it was slippery. There's a massage table and place where you can get Henna tatoos done. A towelhut where you exchange a card for a towel once a day was good. Sunbeds decent with umbrellas everywhere for shade.
Music by the pool and pool bar was a bit rubbish and repetitive. Hardly any entertainment, a dancer once a week perhaps, so this is another factor that would put many people off. When the entertainment was on, it was short, but enjoyable nonetheless. A nice shaded pool table, and also a table tennis table. There was an indoor bar, but you have to pay for drinks here, but it basically remains open after the all inclusive drinks bar has shut.
Overall although this hotel has many bad points such as the food and drink that would ruin an all-inclusive holiday for many, but it also has good points which other people would really appreciate. Alot of the people we met who initially disliked the resort because of the food etc, ended up having a really good time at the resort anyway by the end.
I wouldn't recommend this resort for families with young children due to the smaller pool and undesirable food. Probably better for older visitors. But saying that, it is one of the cheaper resorts we found, and to be honest other aspects of the holiday make up for this bad points. You get what you pay for I suppose. When we arrived there weren't many English people there, but by the end there was. Be prepared to encounter less English holidaymakers than you would i different countries. If you are coming to this resort to stay in the hotel but also go out in the day and do some activities then you will enjoy it more than staying in the resort 24/7 I believe.
Good points- friendly helpful staff, swimming pool/sunbeds, room facilities, cleanliness.
Bad points- food&drink (not really a 'proper' all inclusive holiday), no entertainment so could get bored, small-ish pool.
Overall we had quite a good time at the Resta Sharm Resort, and although it is not perfect in every aspect, I give it 7/10, the staff friendliness and room cleanliness being major points for me giving it this rating.

We were realy disapointed with this...

We were realy disapointed with this resort. The food on offer was shocking, only few selected dishes servered with rice everyday. If you ate at the hotel you were guaranteed a stomach upset so we ate out everyday, costing us an absolute fortune, which we didnt expect to do as the holiday we had paid for was sold to us as all inclusive. The drinks served were warm and flat, if you wanted a cold drink, you had to pay for this in a different bar. Something eles we didnt expect to have to do. The selection of drinks were minimal and the alcoholic drinks served was also warm. You were given lager in small plastic cups that hadnt been washed from previous people drinking out of them and you were given the remainder of lager that had been left in open bottles on the side, not in a fridge or cool place of any sort. The hotel was very unsafe as on numerous occasions we had 2 to 3 man trying to get into our room at various times, one being around 1.30 am!!!
The pool area was very dirty and there wasnt many sun loungers so if you wanted to stay around the pool we had to get up around 6am just to get a sunlounger for the day.
Before we went on holiday we went on the hotel website which clearly states rooms have a balcony and either pool or garden views, when we arrived we were shown to ground floor room around the back of the hotel which had views over looking a rubble pile and no balcony, we were very disapointed with this. We asked about a balcony and we were told as soon as one becomes available we will move you into it. This never happened as people arriving after us were shown straight to a room with a balcony. All in all the hotel completely ruined our holiday and cost us a fortune having to eat and drink away from the hotel. The hotel is very unhygenic and unsafe!! I would not recomend any person staying at this resort!!!!!!!
