" Great Time "

Went to pearly grey in february of this year. Had an excellent holiday with my wife. Had to endure a three hour time share sales pitch which became a little uncomfartable when they realised i wasn,t interested, but this apart we had a great time. Staff are very friendly as were the guests both owners and not. Food in the resteraunt was excellent and entertainment at night varied from good to brilliant. A very quiet resort which is perfect for a relaxing week. We hired a car which i reccomend as this helps due to relieve the boredom at night. Hired car on line before we went as this was cheaper than pearly greys price. All in all a very enjoyable, friendly, relaxing week.

Advice: Quiet but nice

Activities: Little italy in los christianos

" Great Place To Holiday "

Spent two weeks in the mosy friendly resort ever visited. Staff & reps couldn't do enough to make our holiday more enjoyable than it was. Excellent food in on site restaurant as well as several very good restaurants within easy walking distance. On site entertainment 6 nights mostly very good & all free. Poolside activity daily for those wanting to take part, seperate sun terrace if you just want to chill. Missus reckons Sunday culture tour a must. Will definitely return.

Advice: Not for nightclubbers but a great relaxing stay

Activities: Several good restaurants within easy walking distance (minutes). Great on site restaurant.

" Pearly Grey "

I went to pearly grey with famlily in october, i found that the holiday was great. The holiday reps were lovely and we was all greated on arrival with a glass of champagne, we all enjoyed are time there and whilst there we got more points for the time share. If you want to go away to just relax and unwind then this is totally the right place to go, its so relaxing and your able to just do what you want.
If you want to go on holiday to go out clubbing or to go for a lively holiday, then this isnt the place to go .. there isnt a beach that is close that you can go to and there isnt really anywere to go if your young and you want to go to clubs, but there is a lovely pool that spotless and is always cleaned, there is also a few bars down an ally that are quite entertaining. If you want your holiday to be good then hire a car so you can go to other places, we had a fantastic holiday without one but if you feel the need then it will proberly be worth it .. im going back to tenerife this june/july and cant wait!

" Pearly Grey "

Have to say Pearly Grey is a fab resort despite what has been said already on other reviews. I holidayed there with my autistic son and the staff coud not be more helpful and accomodating to both his and our family needs. The facilities at the resort are plentiful and the menu in the restaurant varied.
In relation to timeshare touts (What timeshare touts) We were allocated a Rep who offered to discuss hotel timeshare promotions but were obliging when we said that we were not interested and we were left to enjoy our holiday. The reps are not only timeshare sales individuals but act as a key source of information on the resort and wider parts of tenerife. The reps are also part of the entertainment programme and were very accomodating. Timeshare touts are those on the street not in the resort which we found to be friendly and more than accomodating. Admittedly we did not have to undertake a compulsory timeshare tour and can only say that if you are going to be cheap skates in relation to holidays and accept a free holiday then more fool you. As timeshare users we are treated to the best accomodation which we expect as owners and are at Pearly Grey made to feel special. Many thanks Pearly Grey...

Advice: Small, safe and friendly resrt

Activities: Teide, Siam Park

Good for: Beach

" Let's keep this simple, if you are... "

Let's keep this simple, if you are not already a time share owner already DO NOT GO!
If you are expecting a 4 star hotel and rooms to match (as appears on their website) you will be dissapointed. You will be put in a room at the back of the hotel with a view over the road, Beckhams bar (seriously!), the bins and kids park. The rooms (all numbered x01) are 2 star accomodation. The noise at night is bad as the teengers hang about in the park until the early hours and the bin lorry turns up outside your window at 02:30 in the morning. These rooms do not have air con so the air quality is difficult to sleep in.
On arrival you will be 'greeted' by one of the resident time share touts. Who will book you in for an aggressive 3 hour time share 'presentation' that is compulsory or a fine of £300 is threatened.
Other holiday makers that I spoke to agreed that some of the time share sellers do not take NO for an answer and were very intrusive throughout their stay.
Save yourself the aggro and give this hotel a miss...
If you do want a time share at this resort, then the advice from owners is to buy on your return to the UK secondhand and not pay the £7000-£12000 prices that are quoted onsite. Look to pay £2000-£4000 for the same amount of points is what I was told.
Here are the good bits..
Swimming pool is clean
Pool area is kept clean.
Supermarket opposite the hotel (30 seconds away) gives a discount and you should buy all your food and drinks from there.
Hotel staff are quite friendly although unwilling to do anything about the sunbeds.
Lovely view over the sea (if you can get it)
More bad bits..
x01 rooms are a poor standard - the pipes are noisy and the beds are uncomfortable. Ours were 2 single camp beds stuck together with gaffa tape.
All excursions/transfers are more expensive if booked through the hotel (not untypical I guess). Use the local company 100 metres up the road from the hotel.
Sunbeds - despite a 'no reservation' rule (the hotel do not enforce this rule anyway despite protests to the staff) the sunbeds are all taken up by 08:30 in the morning. We say that the Germans are bad at this !!!
The food is typical brits abroad chips with everything.
The resort has no beach and nowhere to walk to - get a car or use the taxis and buses.
Time share touts are nearly always onsite.
At best, this is a 3 star resort. It was advertised to us a 4 star but is actually 3 key whatever that means.
We booked with Go Canaries.com - never again. These people are not ABTA affiliated but have association with a company call 'The Travel Trust Company' who could not deal with our complaints.
