NEGATIVES
Upon arriving at Yelkin we were told they had no record of us! We were supposed to go to the Kalikade hotel just down the road, but as they had overbooked we were offered the Yelkin at 2 days notice! Were put in the annex buildings which were unacceptable. Brothers and families were given a tiny, filthy room with a double bed and camp bed even though there were 4 of them! Changed 3 times before suitable accomodation was found. Mine was next to the sewer and stank! Put up with it though as didnt need the hassle of moving. Rooms basic and unclean. Reception staff unhelpful and little English. Health and safety not up to much as you expect in Turkey! Sewers need a serious clean. Beach not up to much but near complex.
POSITIVES
Geeat food!(buffet) Hot and plentiful and good choice! Lovely pools! Silence pool for serious sunbathers, main pool with animation team, pool with slides for kids and adults and indoor pool. Great animation team and nightly shows. Watersports available if you pay (canoes free!) Staff (apart from reception) were helpful and friendly. Clean site (apart from annex!!)
TAKE YOUR OWN BEACH TOWELS (or pay £20 deposit per towel)
TAKE YOUR OWN HAIRDRYER AS ONES PROVIDED ARE RUBBISH!
We would go again, but make sure we were in the hotel as the annexes are not up to standard. This is a shame as otherwise its a lovely hotel!!

Stayed at Yelken, 18/05 - 02/06/09 and in one word would say brilliant. Hotel very modern and stylish, rooms cleaned every day and free bottled water put in rooom everyday. Good choice of food, main courses cooked in front of you, (only gripe no beans or bacon for breakfast, staff very friendly and helpful and lots of them. We went with our children and they enjoyed the kids club and water slides (which adults can use too, would have no hestitation in recommending this hotel. Nearest town is 35mins walk along the beach

Be Warned, This hotel is awfull there is an annex which most brits are put in and no amount of arguing will alter that.these rooms are disgusting not 2 star air con broke down the hotel could not fix correctly after three days toilets would not fill and took days to get corrected.the people in the next room had moved rooms three times ait seemed to be the norm that the rooms were bad. now food it was only just ediblethey heated most things up on the hot plate after beenbrought out cold the scrambled egg was sammonella waiting to happen the annimation team only came round the annex swiming pool when they wanted to sell something ie bingo.This was my 19th time to Turkey and if was the first hotel i went to i would not ever go again it is that bad dont think you can get moved into the main hotel as this is impos.they are so bad the best part of this holiday was when we left this hotel

if you are not all inclusive you are going to suffer badly because the nearest good resrunt is 4 km away and taxi service there is very expenive also make sure youre in the main building because the view is the best there
