very good location, very clean. plenty of places to eat,certain places were very cheap like cheers and my favourite place fools and horses pub and restaurant. rockafellas (which is next door to melini) is an exellent place for a drink and entertainment but very noisy in the early hours, highly recommended will go back there again.

went to melini apts in late may for 2 weeks ,myself hubby 2 sons mother and father, wat a hoilday was our 4th time in cyprus and must say the best stay,hotel is spotless,exellent location,bar staff super also the island affair resturant beautfuil,then you have rockafellas must say costas makes everyone welcome best entertainment on the strip,must say hi to alex,(the pool bar worker) from lee and gino,theres so much to say about thse apt//hotel from the cleaners to all there its the bes hopeing to get back next year to melini,its a must, once again thx for making our hoilday super kim,alex,gino,lee xxxx

First holiday in Cyprus (my son was getting married at the Capo Bay Hotel). Just prior to leaving UK there were a few reviews that were critical of the Melini Apartment and I was a little concerned that I might have made a bad choice for myself and the rest of our 8 strong party. I SHOULD NOT HAVE WORRIED!! This was one of the best holidays that we have ever had, in one the best hotel / appartments that we have ever stayed in! The location is perfect! There is a wonderful restaraunt and bar with excellent nightlt entertainment adjacent to the Melini!The appartments are spacious and clean! But best of all are the staff, they are the friendliest and most welcoming that we have met on any holiday. They made our holiday truly memorable and my wife and I are already making plans to return in 2012. Can't wait to see you all again!

As a couple we had a weeks lovely holiday at the Melini Apartments. Rooms were very comfortable and clean with maids came in six days out of the seven we were there. Everyone was very helpful in the hotel. There is a lovely restaurant adjourning the hotel and it was superb. There are some lovely places to eat and drink, we had some great meals. Beach is just over the road. All in all we had a lovely time, we met some lovely people and hope to go back soon. Keep up the good work at the Melini Hotel.

Me and my family stayed in this apartments and was gutted to find the inside of the building really run down and in dire need of a refurbishment.The outside is very attractive and appealling and is in a great location but the appartments its self are a disgrace,and i would say that i would class it as a 2star.

once again we had a fab holiday for the third time met up with past friends who had stayed there many times we cant all be wrong yes it needs upgrading but remember times are hard for everyone see you again in 2011. thank you to all our special friends and staff at the island affair your food and service is second to none Rockafellas staff and Costas you were fab. to Maria and the pool bar you were fab Christina Maria and Savana see you next year special thanks to Andreas. from the Smirnoff gang

the melini apartments were very clean, the hotel staff were extremely friendly & helpful & nothing was to much trouble,
the food served at the island affair was excellent & good value for money,
the melini apartments are ideally situated right in the middle of the high street & very close to fantastic beaches,
there are lots of bars near by with a large veriety of entertainment each night & right next door is rockerfellas, the staff there again very friendly,
i will definately return again soon

we stayed in melini for two weeks, me my husband and two freinds,we had studio apt it was a great size with fantastic views just what we asked for, our friends stayed in studio next door and we had interconnecting door into their room, staff at this hotel couldnt do enough for you, very friendly and always smiling.
The melini has island affair resturant attatched to it and also rockerfellas bar, food and service in the resturant was first class would highly recommend, the bar had 11 big screen tv's and showed sport allday they also had 1st class entertainment on in the evening, all in all fab time was had bye all of use and we look forward to going back

My wife and I stayed here for 2 weeks in June '09 and had a very enjoyable holiday. The Island Affairs Restaurant was excellent. The staff were super as was the food. Rockafella's Bar was terrific for entertainment with Jimmy Spender, "Meatloaf" and "Elvis" all great entertainers. Forget about the negative reviews and go here. Melini Apartments are right in the middle of the resort, Protaras - they couldn't be placed better. The owners are terrific people. We've never met as friendly people in all our travels. Some people could find faults no matter where they stayed. Let's face it, you could find faults at home. The perfect place with no faults hasn't been built yet. We've found plenty of faults in 5-star hotels. This place is top class. We are going back in June this year.

Me and my girlfriend stayed in Melini over the summer for 7 days and had a beautiful time. The staff were very friendly and always offered to help. The room was very big, considering there was only two of us we had a lot of room and felt very comfortable. It was only 2.50 euros for a full fry up in the morning, a perfect start to the day!
We were in the pool every single day which was always kept clean and a lovely area to spend the afternoon. The hotel is about a 2minute walk away from the beautiful protaras beach and had bars and restaurants lining the streets.
I would recommend the Melini to anyone, but mainly families and couples!

we stayed at the melini appartment for 1 week in august 2011.we had a 2 bedroom,the accomodation was very spacious,,room no 309, if your party is for 5 or 6 people,lots of hanging and drawer space for clothes,,and to store luggage,,the balcony was the best,,right above main entrance and because it was a corner position the balcony carried on round to the side of the buiding,,magic,,a real sun spot,with 3 loungers, table and chairs,,and a clothes line was a bonus too, no pegs though,,,the kitchen was good,, 2 ring cooker,full standing fridge,,kettle, toaster,and a microwave,( dont no if other rooms had a microwave,,thomas cook didnt no if our accomodation had one ).we cooked quite a lot, we felt that at least 2 more sauce pans would have been good, and a sieve,the beds were very comfy, even the sofa bed,,we didnt bother with payinf for the air com, we took our own fan and that was good,,my husband and children actually enjoyed sleeping on the loungers at night,,the swimming pool was really lovely, we felt that the restuarant was o the expensive side,,we didnt try it, also rockerfellows was pricy for drinks too,,we had food and drinks in cheers and the love boat, which were better value,,the resort is beautiful,,our 1st time in cyprus and we would definately go back,and recommend it ,,the beach was kept very clean,all in all it was a truly lovely holiday resort and accomodation,,if you are on a budget,its just a case of shopping around,,and making meals in the accomodation too, which is good if your children arent very adventurious, enjoy..
