i just got back from being there for 11 nights.
This hotel is great if u r a group of young people just wanting sumwhere 2 sleep at night.
i went wiv 3 other girls and at one point we were the only people in our corridor which was gud coz we cud make as much noise as we wanted and not get moaned at.
BEWARE GIRLS wen we went the hotel was full of groups of lads which aint nuffin 2 complain about but we were sat by the pool on our last day and was playin spot the girl!!
The hotel was more full at the weekend coz the was the groups of stags and hens. The pool got quite busy so we went and used the pool on the 5th floor which is still outside but it was practically empty and much quieter and u still get ur free drinks n stuff.
The food was the normal for a 3 star hotel. you get the usual stuff like chips n tht everyday but they also had sumin different each meal and there was a chef tht was always cookin someting in front of u as u walked in like roast chicken and currys.
The bar got quite busy at night and the entertainment was crap but we wernt there for that anyway so we wasnt bothered.
If u r goin 2 BCM try and find one of the sergo reps in the pink t-shirts tht r in the hotel sumtimes u only get a couple of euros of but u dont have 2 get into the club b4 12 to get ur free stuff, u can go anytime. But we got out stuff took it back 2 the hotel and went bk 2 the club which is wot most people were doin. u get free t-shirts/bags/towels&hats- thats the best bit!!!
oh my god bcm is brilliant the foam party got messy though, if u stand straight under the foam u actually carnt breath - its great!! and u HAVE 2 do the happy gas stuff its supposed 2 make u happy n laf but i just went light headed, i dont think i done it properly but my mate did and she just burst out laffin.
U have 2 go 2 coyote ugly which is in BCM square, we were amazed the girls swing of the pole things above the bar looks bloody dangerous.
If u r a horrible person then get one of ur mates 2 get u a water, they spray u like in the film its halarious.
when u r walkin down the strip u get all the people stood outside the bars and if u go in they give u a free shot wiv ur drink and sumtimes u get a free cocktail aswell. the measurments of the spirts out there is ridiculas, if u ask 4 a vodka lemonade i think its actually a triple but its good coz u dont need as many drinks 2 get u pissed.
im not sure wot else there is but overall the hotel was great and i wud definatley recomend it for a group of youngsters. not so much for older people or families but there was still quite a few there and they didnt seem too bothered. but if you were botherd shouldnt you already no the reputaion magaluf has???

My holiday in magaluf was amazing. For what we paid we definitly got our moneys worth. The rooms were good enough for what we needed them for - shower and somewhere to crash when you come bak pissed from a night out. Food was varied but quite repetitive, most hotel staff seemed friendly and pleasant. The barracuda is not the place for families, the elderly or people who like sleep! The night life is brilliant! Lots of clubs and bars to keep you occupied till the early hours and within easy walkin distance of the hotel. Would highly recommend going to see Pirates uncut. Really good night out which serves unlimited pitchers of sangria but BEWARE of reps!!! A rep that was takin us to pirate turned up late cos she'd gone to buy vodka then took us the wrong way so we had to climb over a fence which wasn't very appealing since we'd all dressed up nicely. After the show she took us to a bar and after a while disappeared with 40 euros worth of photos we bought from the show. All in all it was pretty good holiday would definitely go back again.

holiday makers beware: - you book the pax and you get allocated in the barracuda if they are empty!!!
on arrival at this hotel there were loads of people outisde telling us not to bother come in because this hotel was from hell.
it was filled to the brim of stag & hens, screaming in the corridors all hours, people sleeping on the floors in the hall ways and they just took over the pool areas. this is definatly not a family holiday.
we complained to the rep, there was a very long line of complaints he just said that the noise would only be fri, sat, sun and possibly mon (only half your holiday then!)
this holiday is the worst holiday that i have ever been on.
the food looked as though water had been added to it, the breakfast was worth having (stag away from the scrambled egg, you could have paddled in this) every night the food was cold and the choice did not change much. if you did not get down for your tea bang on half 6 it was cold.
snacks (if you can call them that) were cold sausages, burgars and kabab sticks with really hard buns and rolls (you can not eat snacks around the pool only in the restuarant.
they are kind enough to leave a microwave at the end of the restaurant for you to warm it back up. (just what you want on an all inclusive holiday!!!)
the entertainment is that cheesy in this hotel, the woman who calls the bingo makes really strange noisies and makes you want to strangle her!
the rooms are from the dark ages holes in the walls, marks up the walls and the wardrobe and dressing table were falling to bits and the dresser had the tele on!
the pubs and nightlife were rubbish all rave bars and nothing else, no entertainment you have to entertain yourself
the reception staff do not care they just want you dalt with so you go away. the lifts are small and like a black hole and constantly breaking down.
if you have booked here good luch - you will need it cause the rep or no one will help you.

This is the 2nd time I have been to this hotel both times with my football team, 13 blokes first year and 16 blokes this year.
I feel I have to stick up for the barracuda a little bit, yes there are always going to be rowdy people but for an all-inclusive cheap holiday with sunshine you could do a lot, lot worse, the groups of people that were there, including us were pretty well behaved I thought, mind you the geordie birds that turned up as we were leaving might make next weeks reviews interesting reading.......
The food is not perfect but hell they are catering for a lot of people and were constantly changing the empty ones, I ate a different thing every night, chicken curry, pasta, meat ravioli and didnt complain about anything, the fryups in the morning were great and the toasties have formed part of legend in our football club!! One guy on here has complained about the plates not being warm - look in the middle of the food cart, the warm plates are kept seperate from the cold plates, if you really are that fussy about your holiday ;-)
Every lift worked while I was there, it stopped on the floor I wanted it to stop on staff were friendly apart from the dopey lifeguards, I thought they catered for families brilliantly, a Queen tribute act, a comedian, a bird flying demostration with Kez and a bingo night which even some of the saddest members of our team joined in on ;-) they play crazy darts during the day and arrange football tournements, you've just got to know where to be and try to be willing to join in and not be a misery guts.
Magaluf town is the place to be at night though and most of our group thought BCM was expensive but if you dont want to go there, dont, go to Coyote Ugly, or Bananas or Baywatch or Panama Jacks, the list is endless and most pubs are open till 6 and are free. If you are noisy when you walk in then the security guards are on your back like a rabid leech with warning letters about it - we got one and after that calmed the hell down so they do appreciate that other people are in the hotel. Big up to the scouse receptionist who after the warning letter realised that we were actually an alright bunch and was happy with us.
All in all the barracuda is quality, not 100% great for familys, but I dont think I'd have a problem taking mine there as there is plenty for them to do that doesnt involve drinking

just arrived back from the worst holiday we have ever had, if you have kids keep well away or if you are over 40, it is full of groups of stag night/hen night parties very very rowdy, couldn't get any sleep at night, couldn't get any where near the pool during the day very intimidating. was told could use facilities of sister hotel marina pax so we thought we would go there in the daytime, could use pools but wasn't allowed drinks or food even though we were all inclusive, really felt sorry for families with kids and for the elderly couples who were staying at our hotel, loads of people complained and tried to get moved,we would go down to either the beach or the town during the day,and to the local bars at night NEVER AGAIN

ACCOMMODATION
Room was more than adequate for what we required - i.e somewhere to sleep. The view we had was of the roof of reception and the road outside as we were on the first floor but, in my opinion, the view from a hotel room isn't really that important.
Pretty basic but clean and comfortable - albeit we did suffer some of the noise problems but come on! THIS IS MAGALLUF PEOPLE!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING BRINGING YOUR KIDS HERE??!!
Air conditioning as standard is often taken for granted, but many hotels in Spain just have a crappy ceiling fan instead and this will not do! Especially during the peak months so this was something I ensured this hotel had before we booked and indeed it did have excellent air con which made very little noise.
FACILITIES
You have use of the facilities for both the Hotel Barracuda & Hotel Pax so there were 3 pools available but we found the largest one which appears to be the central pool for the 2 hotels to be the best as it was never in the shade and was the nicest.
Games room was available but it was like a sauna and very basic, but then, again, this was not what we were there for so didn't really care.
FOOD & DRINK
The food was, as is usually the case for all-inclusive hotels, fairly basic for the most part but there was quite a good selection with the ingredients for a Full English available each morning and a variety to cater for most tastes at lunch & dinner.
Alcoholic drinks included were the local lager (Estrella Dam) and the kind of copies of brand name liqueurs and spirits that you would find in Lidl or Aldi and are more than acceptable attempts (Although no bourbon, which was a shame for me!) but, somewhat annoyingly, they came in pathetic sized cups and the bar staff would only let you have 2 at a time.
LOCATION
This was one of the best aspects of this hotel after my concerns before we went that it was too far from the main nightlife. Located a less than 5 minute walk from the beach in a fairly quiet area meant it was great for going to the beach & away from the noise of the nightlife, but not so far that it was a trek to get to the clubs if you want to.
In fact, we found a great route whereby you head to the beach then walk along the front (sampling the beachside cocktail bars along the way!) straight to the main Magalluf nightlife. (Which, even at the start of September was still superb even though all the main events of the summer were over). This route would take only 10 minutes if you don't stop along the way.
Another bonus was that the fantastic 'Pirates' show was just 10 minutes walk away (a must for anyone who goes to Magaluf - ask the rep in reception) and the two water parks - Aqualand & Western waterpark - just a little further up the road.
There was a shop literally right outside the reception that sold cigarettes & cheap bottled water as well as newspapers, postcards, lilos & pool towels, etc and souvenirs all at a good price which was very handy indeed.
The was also an off-licence selling crates of brand name beer, spirits, etc also right outside.
WEATHER
Now, I was worried that by this time it would be cloudy and not very warm but it wasn't anything like as bad as I suspected. One day of the 7 was clouded out and another very windy but the temperature was around the 25c mark during the day and was more than acceptable for the time of year as peak for Mallorca is June/July I believe.
OVERALL
This hotel was nowhere near the best in the world, but I would imagine it is pretty much on a par with most hotels in Magaluf as they are designed to be cheap as the target market are not the richest echelons of society and it more than catered for our needs.
It was the cheapest All-Inclusive we could find by a long way and, for the money, was more than acceptable in terms of food & facilities.
I'm sure there are better hotels in Magalluf but not for the money we paid for all-inclusive.
The location was perfect with an English bar right outside if that's what you're after and a short walk to the beach & main nightlife.
Would I recommend this hotel? If you're a 20 something looking for a lads or lasses holiday with sun, fun, & alcohol then yes, I definitely would as long as you're not too fussy.
But if you're planning a romantic break, family holiday or a relaxing week in the sun then I suggest you look elsewhere - but I don't just mean a different hotel.
I mean a different resort entirely!

Booked this holiday as it seemed like a good idea at the time. . if only i could turn back time i'd have never gone to this horror of a hotel. .
My brochure described this hotel as having sports facilities i dont feel that one dirty table tennis table qualifies. a dirty pool which adults had to vacate most afternoons so they could run a kids club. No problems with that other than the fact i paid for a holiday and want to use the pool when i feel like.
the room was fine had no problems there thats possibly the only positive, the resturant was overly hot and the food was not good.If there hadnt been a KFC i would have starved.
The night entertainment was bingo i can play bingo at home and didnt think it was very holiday orientated. All the surrounding area round the hotel stunk of sewage like most when i was there the lifts were not working.
I wouldnt go back to this horrid little hotel if someone else paid for my holiday. Steer well clear as this hotel will spoil what is a lovely place and ruin your holiday.

I've just got back from 7 nights in the marina barracuda. 5 girls, all 18 years old.
Had an amazin time. Very good for what we all wanted...The last thing we wanted was to have to be quiet and constantly be worrying about keeping the noise down and upsetting people.
Food was decent..lived on chips and chicken nuggets and bread rolls for most of the week. if you're more willing to try different things you should be ok, just dont expct too much. Only complaint was no snack bar, had to put top and shorts on an go into the main resturant for lunch times which was annoying at times!
Wouldnt recommend at all for families or anyone looking for a quiet holiday, we went looking for plenty of noise and thats what we got! not the place for a chill.
Room was clean and tidy and the maids were good!
Pool and area was always clean and tidy.
We heard an older couple complaining they hadn't been allocated the marina pax (sister hotel 5 minutes walk down the road), but a few days later we got talking to people more our ages that had been placed there an they were moaning they wanted to be in the barracuda!
The walk to the strip and the main clubs was a bit further than some of the other hotels and we always made sure we went out and came home with each other as there is a darker quieter bit of road as u leave the town to get back to the hotel. it is possible to walk back the beach way, and there is a path for most of it, but it wasn't the nicest, with some strange people about!
Overall, we had a great holiday. If I'd gone with family it would have been a nightmare, but for a group of young people we couldn't have asked for more!!
