Hotel Ammos

I have just returned from a lovely holiday. The Ammos Hotel is very nice and modern and very clean. The cleaner comes in daily and sheets are changed twice a weeks and towels about 3 times a week. The staff are very helpfull and christina who runs the complex is lovely. I mean a very nice genuine person. she will do anything for you. Christoff makes a good cocktal. The pool area is very small and sometimes you can not get a sun bed round the pool. So be warned you do need to get up early. The Beach, Resturants and a few bars are about 10 minutes walk down a hill from the complex. "THE BEST RESTAURANT IN POLICHRONO BY FAR IS *** HOTEL AKROGIALI***.Pick up a leaflet at reception and take this with you and you will get free glass of wine per person. This still remains a very greek resort,we stumbled across 1 english themed restaurant,the "cockney cafe". You get a good breakfast here. There are quite a few restaurants and we didnt have a bad meal all of the 2 weeks. Loads of fast food "gyros" cafes which were very popular. The beach was shingle but it was manageable once you've waded in a bit. Free sunbeds as long as you buy a drink from the coinciding bar,they didn't hassle you only came and asked us once,and come and serve drinks to you on beach. The streets are busy with lots of people. There are only 3 British Hotels in Polichrono. So most people in this resort are Russian and from cerbia. Also a lot of greeks on there holidays too. Over all i would go back to this resort in a few years time . But there are many other places to visit and see.***** Mr & Mrs Hyde from Manchester.
