Just south of Lincoln and close to two of the biggest Antique Fairs in the UK we found this little gem of a hotel set in a small, quaint village part named after " Walt Disney". He visited here to trace his family tree and to see his ancestors graves in the village churchyard, hence " Norton Disney".
The hotel and conference centre are just outside the village and set in their own grounds with plenty of parking places.On arrival you are met at reception by friendly and helpfull staff.The room itself was very clean and large enough for the two of us.The bed was superkingsize and had fresh bedding,plenty of pillows and looked too nice to sleep in.
The rooms have free wireless internet connections, and a plasma TV with freeview channels included.A tray is provided with coffee/tea making facilities and biscuits. The bathroom has a bath and a shower with plenty of clean fluffy white towels available for you as well as soap/bubble bath/shampoo/flannels.In fact there was nothing that they could have added to make us more comfortable. The whole place is sparkling clean and fresh.
We chose to have our evening meal at the local pub in the village and had lovely home cooked meals costing 2 for £10 ( brilliant ) all the locals were friendly and the pub serves a decent pint as well. What more could you want ?.
After a good nights sleep you are then provided with a FULL English Breakfast all cooked fresh when you sit down in the dining room.Fruit juice or coffee and tea are provided in quantity as well as toast,marmalade and cereals if you would like any but with the size of the cooked breakfast we didnt need anything else. In fact we were going to Newark Antique Fair straight after leaving the hotel so it really set us up for the day.
This place is a little gem hidden in the Lincolnshire countryside and the price was very reasonable ,worth every penny. We will go back and stay again when we visit the antique fairs and I am also thinking of arranging a Holidaywatchdog moderators meet up here when we can all get together sometime :). Cant say fairer than that.
