These apartments are NO SMOKING!
If you are a smoker you will be expected to smoke on the balcony - not in the room.
First impressions on arrival at the silo studios is that they are in the back of beyond! However, once you find your way around, its only an 8 minute stroll to the main road where the bars/restaurants are.
The silo studios are very clean and tidy. Rooms are a good size and well equiped. The toilets could do with a splash of bleech, but other than that, spotless.
The little on-site shop can cater for all your initial self-catering needs, and not too expensive.
The poolside bar is very pleasant and drinks/food reasonably priced.
Lassi itself is a bit of a let down in as much as it is basically a few bars and restaurants plonked either side of the main road into Argostolli. That said, there are plenty to choose from, and you can eat in a different place each night.
There are no fast-food outlets, so its restaurant meals or cook yourself!
Also, there is no bank or ATM in Lassi so if you need money you will have to ger a taxi to Argostolli (6 euro each way).
A large beer and a Gin & Lemon cost 7.50 euro. An average meal for two, with wine was around 30 euro.
There are two or three supermarkets on the main road which carry all kinds of british goods such as tea bags/coffe etc.
Everyone speaks exceptionally good English and are most helpful.
The best beach is deffinitely Makris Gialos (long beach) which is less than 5 mins stroll away. Just turn right out of the silo and the beach is a couple of hundred yards on the right. Its well sign-posted so you cant miss it. (Tip! if you take the road on the left opposite the sign to the beach, it will take you to the nearest supermarket).
The beach itself is lovely, clean, sandy and water incredibly clear.
Sunbeds and brollys cost 8 euro a day.
The toilets can be found at the top of the 'staircase'.
There is a bar serving drinks/water etc on the beach which is fine until about 4pm when it turns the music up loud - and I mean loud! It wouldnt have been too bad if it had been decent music, but it was the same Techno rubbish every day. It spoilt it for me.
However, there is a lovely cliffside restaurant (reasonably priced) as well as the Staircase cafe (cheap). Both have lovely veiws over the beach.
Warning! the sand gets very very hot! do not be tempted to pop to the loo without flipflops or you'll regret it!
Its worth hiring a car for a couple of days to see some of the other resorts - Poros is particularly pretty.
If you get the chance, it is definitely worth spending the day on the glass-bottom boat.
It cost around 60 euro through the holiday rep, but it is advertised at 50 euro if you book independantly. If you want to see Dolphins - this is the way to do it. The Captain knows exactly where they are and how to attract them. And apart from that, its an excellent day.
If you are already booked to holiday in Lassi, you'll enjoy it, but all in all, not one of the better Greek resorts.
