The wife and myself have just returned from spending a week in this hotel and what a relaxing week it was ,The hotel is a family run affair and is situated about 10 minutes walk from the center of lixouri I have read reviews on other sites moaning about the lack of a swimming pool ,This is no hardship as the beach and sea are only about 25 meters away ,the hotel have a stack of sunbeds outside which you carry to beach ,the sea is fairly shallow and clear and not at all crowded The rooms are pleasant enough with aircon which is free of charge (most places seem to charge for the remote) Breakfast is of the continental variety and consists of juice ,tea ,coffee ham slices cheese and all the other bits and bobs (I am of the opinon if you want full English ,then stay in england) The bar is well priced 2 euro for either a 500ml bottle of amstel or mythos But the main thing is the people who work there make you feel very welcome ,this place is ideal if you want a chilling out type of holiday and i would recommend it to anybody, the resort itself is quite and lager lout free with plenty of bars and restaurants situated around a large square also if you fancy a change you can take the ferry which costs 2-2 euro and sails every half hour during the day across the bay to Argostoli and takes just over 20 mins The view from the hotel room balcony is worth a lot more than you will end up paying for this hotel,We are going to go again but for a fortnight Sorry for what may seem like a rambling review but I don't feel i have done it justice Also many thanks to Anna and Dimitri and Family Paul and Joanne Pickard I just know I will have forgot to mention something
