Having worked with tour operatours in Turkey over many years, travelled many places in Turkey the Tunacan gives me everything I could ask for.
The Tunacan a place in the sun my home from home my sanctuary.
Chillout by the pool with the easy listening music, read a book, visit nearby beaches, visit historic sites, private boat trips everything is possible.
Do as much as you want (or as little!)
Carol & Sahap are excellent hosts when they are there who need a tour operatour.

Having read all the comments I thought it was time I added mine.
The power of the internet is a wonderful thing and feedback on hotels is great when the comments that are submitted are true. The people that wrote the two negative comments clearly have had bad experiences in the past and do not recognise a wonderful hotel in a good location.
How can one of them write about the Hotel when they did not even stay there?
Carol & Sahap are the perfect hosts and nothing is too much trouble. They work long hours to make the hotel the success that it is.
My family have just returned from our third successive holiday and have already booked up for next year which says it all.
Previous positive comments on the rooms are all true, they are clean and tidy.
The daily maid service is what you would expect in any good hotel.
The pool and bar area is kept to very high standard and the food provided is very good value for money.
To finish off I would recommend this hotel to anybody visiting Turkey for the first time, becouse even after a short stay you will not want to go anywhere else.
Well Done Carol & Sehap. The Turkish tourist board should be proud of you.

I haved stayed at The Tunacan hotel over a number of years and would like to say how nice it is. Rooms are basic but comfortable and clean. Food is lovely and it is so nice to sit at the bar in the evenings and watch the sunset. Also, how nice it is to be away from the hustle and bustle of Hisaronu. It is a perfect setting and only a few mins from the bus stop which takes you to the various resorts of Fethiye, Olu Deniz and Hisaronu. You can also go to Kaya Ghost Village too. It also has one of nicest pools and gardens in the area. Carol and Sehap have always made me feel very welcome and I certainly would not hesitate in going there again.

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!!! We've already booked for next year. Carol and Sahap couldn't do enough for us, even to the extreme of Sahap driving all the way in to Fethiye to buy some limes in order to make me a real margherita (no limes in Hisaronu which is why all the margheritas in any other place were rubbish!) Definitely above and beyond the call of duty of host and boy, the cocktail was to die for once it was made!!! No margherita mix from Sahap - just pure Tequila, Triple Sec, fresh lime juice and that obligatory salt around the rim of the glasses (which by the way, he also purchased some of while he was tracking down limes as he didn't have martini glasses at the hotel!) Not only hospitable beyond belief but also now out of pocket due to awkward guests! All we can say is a really huge thank you for making every day out there so very special and can't wait to see you again next year!

We have just returned from a fabulous time at this hotel. Carol and Sahap are the best hosts we have ever come across during our extensive travels. Nothing was too much trouble and they went the "extra mile" every day to make our stay enjoyable. The hotel itself was in an excellent location and was clean and comfortable. The pool area we thought was outstanding for a small hotel. Beautifully clean and well cared for. All I can say is that we would be more than happy to return to the Tunacan.

We have stayed twice at the hotel and cannot recommended it highly enough.
It is very clean, basic accommodation with homely touches with good pool and bar area. It is ideally located on the outskirts of nearby lively village of Hisaronu.
The other guests we met during our stays were all extremely friendly and everyone of all ages and backgrounds readily interacted.
The owners are courteous and proactive and have made each stay a pleasant and relaxing time.
My family have greatly enjoyed both visits and will definitely be going back.

As a family we have stayed at The Tunacan Hotel for the last 5 years, some years visiting more than once and one year extending our holiday for a further week because we were having such a fabulous time. I am amazed at a couple of the reviews, especially the remarks about the Management not welcoming guests or ignoring them. In all the visits we have made to The Tunacan Hotel, I have never witnessed any guests being ignored, I have witnessed the Management encouraging guests to join in with activities, trying to ensure that no guest ever feels left out, both Carol and Sahap Erzen (The Management) move around the bar and pool area chatting to guests, they also introduce guests to each other to help break the ice, they are warm welcoming and always working to ensure that all the guests have a fab holiday.
If you have a problem they will both work together to help you solve it. I observed them taking a child to hospital in the early hours of the morning, when the parents where distraught with worry and didnt know where to go or how to go about getting medical treatment. If you want to feel safe and secure and have a fab holiday at the same time then The Tunacan Hotel is for you.....Well done Carol & Sahap, Keep up the good work.
An extremely pretty hotel with clean well cared for accomodation, beautiful gardens, a fabulous pool area, a spotlessly clean kitchen, well prepared fresh home cooked food-both English and Turkish with Management and Staff who go the extra mile to ensure your holiday is fabulous!

We stayed here twice in 2005 as we loved it so much. Also recommended son and daughter-in-law go, which they did in 2006, and daughter-in-law went a second time in June 2008. The rooms are basic, but you don't go on holiday to stay in your room! They have everything you need, and are always spotlessly clean. Trips were organised if you wanted, and recommendations made for restaurants. The weekly boat trip and Turkish BBQ were a highlight and not to be missed. The pool is always clean and so are the gardens. Carol cooks a mean English breakfast if you want but I personnally love the Turkish breakfast which is included in the room rate. The only reason we haven't been back since 2005 is that we haven't actually gone on holiday since then but it would be top of our list for our next holiday. Cannot speak highly enough about the hotel or about Carol and Sahap.

The hotel Tunacan is so welcoming that i take my family there year after year. The facilities and the atmosphere are fantastic. I have been as a family, as a couple and with a group of girls and each time i have received the warmest of welcomes from Carol and Sahap.Nothing is to much trouble and on many occasions they have gone out of their way to please one of my children who have requested something completly obscure.I am so relaxed and chilled out when iam there because i know that if there is a problem Carol and Sahap are right on hand to help. It is like staying with good friends and i look forward every year to seeing them again.I am returning in october with a group of 10 people, 5 of which have never been abroad before but have heard so much about my time at the Hotel Tunacan they wanted to experience it for themselves

I have just come back from staying at the Hotel Tunacan (my third time), I can honestly say that Carol and Sahap are very warm and welcoming, and if you have any problems they will try and sort it. The hotel's rooms are basic but clean as for the rest of the hotel, the pool and area are clean and have everything you could want including bar snacks. The hotel is within walking distance of the main stretch and a short bus ride to the beach or old town. I would definitely recommend this hotel for £10 a night with breakfast and a warm and friendly atmoshphere what more could you want?

My family and I have visited Carol & Sahap twice now and on both occasions we have been made to feel more than welcome and thorougly enjoyed our holiday. My children are in their late teens and I would be more than comfortable to let them holiday alone at the Hotel Tunacan as know that they will be well looked after. Carol & Sahap go out of their way to ensure you have an enjoyable stay and go to great lengths to ensure that all trips are booked through reputable sources. My sons visited the Turkish baths and Sahap arranged for them to be taken and collected so that they got the full benefit of the experience. The boat trip orgnised by Carol is particularly enjoyable as it is a very relaxing day and well worth the money as included in the price is an evening BBQ cooked by Turkish locals. The hotel is extremely clean and the service good and Carol's cooked English breakfast is spot on. My brother-in-law joined us for the first time this year and has not stopped talking about the hotel since. On arrival he was completely overawed and could not stop saying how fantastic it was. Set in a quiet part of the resort and off the beaten track when you pull up outside it more than meets expectations. I will definately be going back and would recommend it to all my friends.

We have just returned from yet another great holiday at the Tunacan we once again would like to thank Carol & Sahap for the relaxing and very enjoyable atmosphere they create at their small but very friendly hotel as previous comment the rooms are basic however clean and tidy. Food is lovely it is so nice to sit at the bar enjoying their hospitality.
