Hotel Tunacan

My family and I have visited the Hotel Tunacan on three occasions and can't believe what some of these reviews have to say.
We found the management nothing more than extremely helpful on the occasions we have stayed with them. They have organised day trips, arranged transportation, recommended restaurants and have been nothing short of amazing with local knowledge.
I have recommended family and friends that have also stayed at the Hotel Tunacan that have enjoyed there stay as much has we have.
If you are looking for a holiday that is home from home then look no further. If you are looking for glitz and glamour then I suggest you book a holiday with the masses to Bodrum.

I too cannot believe what I have just read! Both myself and members of my family have been visiting Carol and Sahap since they opened this beautiful, clean, comfortable, friendly hotel. They both can not do enough for thier guests including keeping a watchful eye on younger members of our family who went to stay at the Tunacan on thier first holiday without the wrinklies in tow! We have also recommended the Tunacan to various friends who also had great holidays there. The pool is always clean, the rooms beautifully looked after - not to mention the great service of washing and ironing (for an incredibly cheap extra charge and the pleasure of not bringing home dirty clothes) and booking trips and taxis for us whenever and wherever we wanted to go. The breakfast is excellent - even more so when the nightly B&B price is unbelievably good value. We have had fantastic holidays here and I cannot think of a better place to stay in Turkey. We are already looking forward to our next visit in September. We know that Carol and Sahap will be waiting for us when we arrive with a cold beer on the bar (as always!!) The only miserable faces you will see around the Tunacan is on the visitors who are most unhappy that they did not choose this hotel for thier own holiday!!

we stayed in te tunacan hotel in july 2008 and in this time yes the rooms were very basic but they were cleaned regualy but i agree with the last comment corol and her usband were awfull we didnt get a welcome there was a big group of us aswell around 20 of us and they was not making us fell like are money was anough to let us stay in there hotel at the end of the holiday we got so miserable with the way we got ignored and the ignorance of them and there family members around the pool we moved to anothere hotel and i disagree you are forced to leave your hotel key with them and a few times we did come home to find things had been moved and varius little things were missing nothing to serius tho i would not reccomend this hotel to any body due to the lack of politness by the managers also they would not let you ring a taxis from there hotel when evry bar resturant inthe rest of hisaranu /ovacik did x

We had the misfortune to visit this hotel during our stay in Turkey, we travel independently every year and believed this was in the right area for us to come back again next year to visit. We had planned to bring along our families and meet friends, so in total there would of been around 15-20 of us. We visited the hotel daily and made use of the pool....as invited by a big sign outside telling people the pool was open to all. We spent money there on drinks and meals as the time went on but there were dark clouds above or rather round the pool. There was 6 of us with a further 6 to join us, you would think the person who ran the hotel would be happy to take our money seen as well there was 2 people staying in the hotel.... yes 2 people!!!! We're not rowdy and we just wanted a few quite days by a pool, we could not fault the food, the pool or even the music around the pool area however the people who ran the hotel and the 2 guests staying there have got to be the most miserable people we have ever had the misfortune to meet in Turkey, I think they must of had a sense of humour bypass. We found Carol to not acknowledge us even tho over a period of about 3 days we had spent a lot of money there. Yes the hotel is very clean and yes the pool is lovely just dont expect a warm welcome or goodbye even. Even the 2 guests staying there never smiled. Therefore I wish you luck and may the force be with you 'cos your gonna need it staying here with such unhappy surly people

AM PUTTING THIS IN CAPITALS AS I CANNOT BELIEVE WHAT I HAVE READ. I HAVE BEEN VISITING THIS HOTEL FOR THE PAST 5 YEARS SINCE IT WAS OPENED BY CAROL AND SAHAP.
YOU ARE NOT FORCED IN TO LEAVING KEYS BUT IT IS ADVISABLE DUE TO WEIGHT AND LOSS. THE CLEANER ENTERS ROOMS OPENS BALCONYS AND THROUGHLY CLEANS. THERE ARE NO SHOWER CURTAINS AS THE BATHROOM IS A WET ROOM!! THE FOOD IS WONDERFUL AND CLENLINESS IMMACULATE.
tHE STAFF WILL DO ANYTHING TO HELP YOU AND ARRANGE TRANSPORT IMMEDIATLY AS YOU REQUEST IT. I HAVE WATCHED SAHAP CLEAN THE POOL AND TEST THE WATER EVERY NIGHT AND THE NIGH****CHMAN HAS ALWAYS ENSURED MY SAFTY IS PARAMOUNT. WHEN THEY KNOW YOU ARE OUT AT NIGHT THEY SHOW CONCERN AS FOR YOUR SAFETY AND ARE THERE READY TO ENSURE YOU RETURN SAFELY.
PERSONALLY I HAVE NEVER BEEN ON A 18-30'S HOLIDAY CAN COULD NOT THINK OF ANYTHING WORSE. I HAVE TRAVELED EXTENSIVLY THROUGHOUT TURKEY, ASIA AND AFRICA ANS THIS IS PERHAPS ONE OF THE CLEANEST, MOST WELCOMING HOTELS THAT I HAVE EVER STAYED IN AND FANTASTIC VALUE FOR MONEY! PERHAPS STAYING IN THE HEART OF HISARONU WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER??? OR BETTER STILL IBIZA??
