The hotel was very basic, the sheets and towels would have been better if they were complete and white not grey. Some of the staff were really miserable and had a job to speak to you. The 60,s 70,s 80,s bar was brilliant as were all of the staff

I have today returned from another fantastic holiday in Marmaris. I would definitely recommend the Mehtap Hotel to anyone visiting Marmaris, you will not find more helpful, friendly staff anywhere in this resort, they are all amazing people!! The rooms are very tidy and cleaned on a daily basis (even when you are 4 scruffy young girls out to party and your rooms are horrendously messy day in day out!!) And where better to stay then on the beach front. The entertainment in the Barcuus restaurant below is also incredible, both of my visits to Marmaris this year have been spent in the Barcuus all day and night. Bella Beserk the drag artist is by far the best you will ever see (if you are not easily offended!!) also the break dancers which do a show every night are brilliant, then there is all the waiters, they make your night trying there very hardest to please you in every way possible, your glass will never be empty as there will always be a waiter around and about, then there is the best DJ on the beach front playing his own mixes each night too "NIMO, NIMO!!!" Lastly the demented Geordie is also a must see, hilarious in fact !! If you are gain for a laugh and want to meet some brilliant people the whole hotel is a must see.

Went with my friends this who have been 4 times already and was the best by far there was nothing to complain about the hotel was clean and lovely with a pool, and was situated right on the beach front, the bar staff and waiters couldn’t do enough for you they made you feel welcome they were friendly and very down to earth, the entertainment was the best, the place was packed out every night with allsorts of shows, plus it was hassle free would highly this place and defiantly going back. x
Advice: loved it everything there plus the weather definatly going back

Awful hotel, falling apart and dirty. Horrible food and staff, AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

we stayed at the mehtap hotel and what an eye opener , breakfast was boiled eggs stale ham and cheese and stale bread , so that was a waste of money , we had our bed changed once in our stay and that was because we complained and also same for the towels , yhe quilt had blood stains on it and the hairdryer in the bathroom at the side of the sink kept falling off and coming on by itself . i tripped over the carpet on the passage ways updtairs , the hand rails are loose , endless faults
Advice: marmaris is good if you want to eat drink and party and get ripped off and harrassed all the time

I have been returning to the Mehtap for the last 6 years and can not fault it one bit. The location is fantastic and ideal for families, the management and staff from the waiters to reception and cleaners are friendly and extremely helpful. Always going ot of there way to help and making you enjoy your holiday.
Food at the hotel is delicious and there is a range of an international menu. the hotel is in the central part of the beach with fantastic views from the rooms and brilliant entertainment from the professional drag at the hotel and the ajoining bar at the side of the hotel.
i will continue to recommend this hotel to anyone and many ofmy friend have accompanied me and on their own...all who will hold the same views as me!

Me and my friends have been going to mehtap for the last 2 years! (twice a year) by far it's been the best holiday we have ever been on!!! loved every single minute of it!!!...the hotel is clean , brilliant waiters and manager's! Its in the ideal spot of Marmaris!!! we love it! and will be returning the mehtap in 1 weeks and 5 days!.....20th sept! cant wait! thanks for making our holiday's great Ihsan & co love kelly , stacey and Lauren! xxxxx

I have been visiting Turkey for the past 10 years but never have I had a bad enough experience to feel strongly about writing a review.
Positives: Mehtap hotel is in a great location 50m or so from the (gravel type) beach and a 10min walk or so into the main town. Marmaris is a beautiful place, with lots to see and buy.
Accommodation is basic - but can't complain too much. After all you're only there to sleep in. Most had sea views.
Negatives: Breakfast at Mehtap is served between 8 - 10:00am. We would go down for breakfast around 9:00am and there hardly be anything there aside from some cucumber and bread!!! The food once gone was never topped up and people were constantly annoyed with this.
Evening meal - you had a choice of only 7 dishes from a 5 page menu!!!
On our 7th day we were forced to pay for our meals which we couldn't understand and when asked to speak to the manager about this - we were warned not to as he wasn't a nice man.
The staff are VERY rude and are the worst I have come across. Every 20minutes or so they would hassle you to buy drinks whilst on the beach. I am accustomed to Turkey's somewhat pushy attitude but this was on a completely different scale. If you didn't buy drinks every time you were asked they would mutter under there breath and were sarcastic. We were made to feel very uncomfortable!!! Despite buying several drinks each day at the beach it was never enough and for that reason was asked to walk further up to sit in another 'patch' of the beach - although Mehtap has there own section for hotel residents!
When we met other locals in the area we were told that Mehtap staff were not friendly/ nice people - but this was obviously too late for anything to be done.
Lastly entertainment was so so. Drag Queen - not to my taste. That was on nearly EVERY NIGHT. I can still hear her/his voice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you have thick skin, don't offend easily, often drink until your stomach needs pumping and don't mind the same numbing entertainment each night - Mehtap is for you.

i have been going to turkey now for the past nine years and have to admit this is the worst hotel i have stayed in. the bed linen was dirty with blood on the pillow cases the floor was not cleaned once whilst there for two weeks when we complained my mum was called a whinger. the lift kept breaking down with some poor kids screaming the door to the lift was virtually hanging of.if you dont eat in there resteraunt they dont like it and keep hassling you especially the geodie who sits outside the resteraunt.will be going back to turkey next year but not to this hotel.

stayed in mehtap hotel twice last year and for 2 weeks in june 2009 its a fantastic hotel you could not ask for a better location right on the beach front the staff in the hotel can not do enough for you and make everyone welcome the rooms were cleaned and towels changed every day the food is fantastic so much to choose from and there is the fantastic bella berserk show every nite i would recommend this hotel to everyone and i cant wait to go back again on the 18th september for another 2 weeks
Advice: once you have stayed at this hotel you wont want to saty anywhere else

I stayed at the hotel for 2 weeks and thought was the best holiday ever., located right next to the baech front which was lovely. All the staff were brilliant very friendly and helpful making sure you felt right at home. The hotel was clean and my room was cleaned everyday, i loved the turkish breakfast alot of variety of food which you could choose from including great meals from resturant. Plenty of entertainment on night time where could sit and relax with no hassle

I was in different places in the world and in different hotels. Mehtap was definitly the worst ever. bad service, rude receptionest, and dirty hotel (curtains, sheets, and baths). The general manager was nice. still, we asked him for a photo copy for our voucher but they never gave it to us.

fantastic hotel fantastic staff :-) they could not of been more helpful,food was lovely in the hotel and drag show was a laugh a minute.Nightlife was striaght on the door step of the hotel and was brill!!!!!beach was right on the hotel door step with the hotel people waiting on you hand and foot....i can not praise it enough.if you go with thomas cook make sure you sign up for the bar crawl....thank you to every1 at the hotel for making our stay the best holiday ever,the ppl in turkey are soooooooooooooo freindly it puts us england lot to shame!!!!!!!!thanks again joxx

i dont care what anyone says the hotel mehtap it the best for service its clean and the food is wonderfull ,please try the penthouse appartment ,massive room ,2 single beds for the children,kingsize round leather bed for adults, jacuzzie & seperate shower & toilets.
ALL staff are so friendly & helpfull,we have tried loads of other hotels in marmaris but we have found the mehtap and wont got anywhere else ,if we can we stay there at least twice a year for 1-2 weeks,this year we are going back with 9 friends and family members in august and again as a couple in september for 1 week .
bye now have a great time if youre going to the mehtap
