Mehtap Hotel

just came back from the mehtap hotel dont expect 5star its a 2star hotel its very basic and very small rooms only big enough for 2 people we were stuck in the attic room 506 and the air con didnt work the reception staff kept saying tecnical services will fix it ended going to see the thomascook rep jamie she was great she got it sorted and got us back the money for the 3days it wasnt working.the hotel isnt clean and everyone had bites which was flee bites from the cats which run up and down the hotel .the beach staff are a pain they expect a tip everytime you get a small bottle of water which you pay 2 lire for and can get it at the nearest shop for 50cent we told the beachboy we wasnt going to give him anymore tips to the end of our hols and he turned rnd and said how much will you give me.we gave him a 10pound english note when we left only because he was waiting for us when we were leaving the hotel to come home he just looked at it put it in his pocket and walked off without a goodbye or thankyou.had a great time in turkey but would never stay at this hotel again .

have been staying at the mehtap for many years.ilhan and the gang are great have never had a problem.the staff are helpfull and the hotel is clean.if you want 5* acommandation get yaself down to the elegance or the grand ideal .(the mehtap is not for you)
on the other hand if you want a good time have a laugh and a base to go out from then get yaself out here after all you only need to sleep there

we read the reviews and gave this hotel a try,, big mistake it was dirty as the beds were not changed the rooms were filthy the staff were rude and the food digusting,, we got moved out after two days couldnt bear it any longer felt totally unwelcome never again. thanks to the wonderful thomas cook reps we did enjoy the rest of our stay in a lovely hotel,thanks to ryan thomas cook rep at the mehtap and jammie thomas cook rep we would be more than happy to book our next holiday with thomas cook your staff have done you proud not only did they do their job but also went that extra mile,,thankyou thomas cook for saving the day mr mrs mahood lisburn

we stayed in mehtap hotel for 2 weeks our beds got changed once and we asked everyday for more pillows and never got any and we had 2 get asking for more towels when ur on hoilday u shouldent have 2 clean ur our room the cleaners made the beds and that was it we have 2 clean the bathroom and floor our selfs .if u dident eat in mehtap the staff would get ur set with u very hoibblie people would never stay there again .the rooms r very small and smell hair dryer dident work air com was a waste of money love marmaris but hated the mehtap and the people in it

i have been going to the mehtap for the past 6 years. and of course already booked for 3 weeks in july. the staff are very helpful and if any problems okti kicks there backsides lol. ishan ilhan mustafa and gulum the 4 muskerteers who will always try to ensure your every wish is met. a special thank you to ishan who even lent me his car when my mother was taken into hospital.. love you all and see you soon

Hi have been going to Marmaris now for 3 years and stayed at Mehtap every time..Very welcoming staff and management to which Now are like family..Thanks Ihsan Ilhan Mustafa oktay and of course all the boy waitors who cannot do enough for you while your there..Rooms are very clean and towels and bedding chnaged daily..The food has a range of all great dishes to everyones needs and entertainment has me in stitches..Cant wait to get back and see all the staff in july and again in october..thanks for everything see you all soon..Tracy and Kane..xxx

Stayed at the Mehtap 2009 Great holiday fantastic location beautiful sea views from your room, rooms a touch on the small side and towels a little worn staff great and friendly helpful any problems they address them promptly, would stay again great family shows at night made the holiday really. Food good. 10out of 10 for the location and views from your room.

The hotel was very basic, the sheets and towels would have been better if they were complete and white not grey. Some of the staff were really miserable and had a job to speak to you. The 60,s 70,s 80,s bar was brilliant as were all of the staff

I have today returned from another fantastic holiday in Marmaris. I would definitely recommend the Mehtap Hotel to anyone visiting Marmaris, you will not find more helpful, friendly staff anywhere in this resort, they are all amazing people!! The rooms are very tidy and cleaned on a daily basis (even when you are 4 scruffy young girls out to party and your rooms are horrendously messy day in day out!!) And where better to stay then on the beach front. The entertainment in the Barcuus restaurant below is also incredible, both of my visits to Marmaris this year have been spent in the Barcuus all day and night. Bella Beserk the drag artist is by far the best you will ever see (if you are not easily offended!!) also the break dancers which do a show every night are brilliant, then there is all the waiters, they make your night trying there very hardest to please you in every way possible, your glass will never be empty as there will always be a waiter around and about, then there is the best DJ on the beach front playing his own mixes each night too "NIMO, NIMO!!!" Lastly the demented Geordie is also a must see, hilarious in fact !! If you are gain for a laugh and want to meet some brilliant people the whole hotel is a must see.

Went with my friends this who have been 4 times already and was the best by far there was nothing to complain about the hotel was clean and lovely with a pool, and was situated right on the beach front, the bar staff and waiters couldn’t do enough for you they made you feel welcome they were friendly and very down to earth, the entertainment was the best, the place was packed out every night with allsorts of shows, plus it was hassle free would highly this place and defiantly going back. x
