Four Seasons Apartments

As a family with young children we were very nervous about picking the right hotel in Thassos...With the Four Seasons we made the best choice. The hotel is run by a very nice English couple who know more about Thassos than any of the reps could!!!They made us feel very welcome and told us about the best places to go with the kids. The food/drink is very well priced and the kids loved the local dishes. I simply can't fault the hotel nor the staff...The only bad part of our Holiday was when we spent good money on some very bad Thomson trips...I did express some concerns to the Head Rep to which her reply was 'oh well everyone else enjoys it' We then didn't bother spending any more time or money on Thomson run projects and decided to look at deals being put on by locals. Little tip, ask about for good car deals...you can get a good deal if you ask the right people & stay away from Thomson!!! All in all a very good holiday, just a shame Thomson don't seem to care about improving their service on the Island!

My wife and i have travelled all over the med ,and the Greek islands are our farourite by far.This is not just for the scenery but also the lovely people,food ,hospitality and general way of life. We have never been to the same place twice because it is a big wide world out there! How ever, having just returned from the Four Season Apartments in Thassos we could well be returning! The whole holiday was faultless from start to finish and the ferry crossing in our opinion was an added bonus. On arriving at the Four Seasons ,everything was perfect. It is remote,but that is why we booked it and thanks to the mini bus,localbus and car hire we were always mobile. The location is great,about 500yards down a woodland track from a lovely beach with a great Taverna. The apartments,food ,cleanliness,staff and location are perfect ,and we had our best ever holiday. Chris and Rachel who run the apartments are great hosts,who make you feel like friends from the moment you check in and put a great deal of work and effort in to make your holiday perfect. They have a gift or working hard ensuring everything is done,but always have time to chat and socialise with the guests to make your holiday special. BBQ night is fantastic and we met some great people. Thassos is a great Greek Island that has not been commercialised ,has fantastic scenery,beaches,history and people. We found prices of food ,drink etc to be cheaper than the more developed islands and could not fault our holiday.

Having just returned from Four seaons, what a super relaxing holiday, everything perfect, very clean spacious rooms, lovely pool, food excellent,Chris and Rachael make you so welcome, they will do anything for you,will miss them both,we had some laughs, met some super people,will tell all my friends about these lovely apartments and beautiful island, will definitely return .SUPERB Lynn and Paul,Warwickshire

Thassos is such a beautiful island and the ferry trip across makes it all the more special, you are spoilt for choice with the beaches!!! and the people are so friendly and helpful. Four Seasons has got to be one of the best places we have stopped in when on holiday in greece. Chris and Rachel made our holiday all that more special!!! and the food at the pool bar is excellent, prices are reasonable too!!. Rooms are modern and very clean, plenty or storage space. The pool area is very peaceful and relaxing almost feels like you have got the area all to yourself. Chris puts on a minibus service in the evenings which is very useful as the bus service is infrequent but taxis are available and usually costs around 7 euros, he also does a trip to the supermarket on the day you arrive. If you like peaceful surroundings and a beautiful unspoilt greek island, then this is the place to go, don't expect loads of bars and clubs they don't belong here!!. And to finish the weather was perfect did not see much rain. Will be returning to Thassos hopefully next year in june.

Have never been to Thassos before bur were looking for somewhere really laidback and relaxing and Thassos was exactly that.To reach Thassos is quite a journey but it is well worth while.We went in May and had fantastic weather mid 20s all week .The island is very uncommercial and the people are very welcoming.The wild flowers in May were beautiful but what made our holiday so great was the Four Seasons Hotel.It is situated about 10/15mins drive from Thassos Town (too far to walk at night)but the couple who run hotel provide a minibus service into town every evening.Rachel and Chris who are running the hotel this year do a fabulous job and nothing is too much trouble to them.Fortunate to have booked Apartment (only 2,18studios) which was great with hige balcony overlooking pool.Hotel was fully booked but never seemed crowded ,would suit couples .Food and drink prices in hotel very reasonable .looking forward to returning soon.

What can I say, the Four Seasons is fabulous, great staff nothing too much trouble, the food at the restaurant is excellant value, we had an apartment which was very spacious with a large balcony overlooking the pool. A bit out of the way from thassos town but you are able to catch the local bus or take advantage of the free mini bus transfers from7pm at night.

My first time to Greece and definitely my best holiday in years - it was great value, the weather has fabulous and an unforgettable experience! Getting to the resort added to the experience (via coach and ferry) and was well handled by Thomson. The resort itself is well described elsewhere but I would highlight the peaceful setting and general cleanliness. Also, the selection, value and quality of food & drink was exceptional. If you want to out & about of an evening, regular minibus rides will take you into Thassos town to sample the many Tavernas and shops. Viewing the island is easy through Thomson arranged excursions or via hire car or bus if you prefer your independence. Thanks to Chris, Rachael and their team plus Kay the excellent Thomson Rep for a memorable holiday - they manage the resort with a passion and certainly aim to please! We hope to return soon and I can't provide greater praise than that.

the hosts were so brilliant chris and rachel they made us welcome and nothing was any bother. the hotel is brilliant clean and very relaxing with up to date decore, placed just 10 mins from thassos town (chris lays on a mini bus three times every evening). the food at the hotel is very good and the rooms are clean and fresh. we had such a great laugh around the pool bar it has a great couple of hosts chris and rachel smack the penquin haha we will be back...

Returned from a week at the Four Seasons on Sunday and we can't wait to go back! There is nothing you could fault about these apartments, the staff or the location. Just far enough away from Thassos Town to be peaceful in the day and close enough for a cheap taxi ride if you dont want to use the complimentary mini bus service. Eating out is very cheap and excellent value, starters, wine and mains all for about 35 euros including tips. Myself and my partner both agreed that this has been on of the best holidays we have had in Greece. All I can say is dont take my word for it, go and check it out for yourself.

We were a bit apprehensive about these studios as it was very difficult to obtain information about them ,due to their being new this season. On arriving, all our fears immediately disappeared. We had hired a car from the airport and taken the 30 minute ferry across to Thassos, we were greeted at the hotel and our bags taken to our studio. The hotel is set back from the main road and we didn't experience any traffic noise, it is amongst pine trees and a 5 minute walk to a small narrow stretch of beach. The hotel is modern and tasteful in decor. It is definitely small and friendly with just two 1 bedroom apartments and 18 studios with plans for another 4 studios for next year, all over 2 floors. There is a lounge bar area next to reception and a small library. The pool bar offers a good snack menu and is reasonably prices. The rooms offer sea or limited sea views. The hotel has a pool table, table tennis, gym and a kids splash pool in addition to the main pool. There will be tennis, sauna and jacuzzi but these are still to be completed. There are no restaurants within walking distance so the hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service to Thassos Town which is about 5kms away with the last return at 10pm. The rooms offer hairdryer, flatscreen tv with satellite channels- CNN, BBC World, Sky News, MTV etc. there is a satellite tv in the lounge area of the hotel, kitchenette with fridge, 2 rings and all the crockery and cutlery you need. Air conditioning is available at 5 euros per day and you can also pay for safety deposit boxes located in the wardobe. The showers are a delight - especially for Greece and no clingy shower curtains! It was nice to have toilet rolls and washing up liquid provided. Towels and bedding were changed twice a week and maid service 6 days a week. All the staff are very friendly. The pool bar plays a mixture of Greek and modern music but not at an intrusive volume as we have experienced at other accomodations. The Thomson brochure doesn't do this accomodation justice. I would highly recommend car hire as the roads are very easy to negotiate. Thassos is a wonderful island and a must to explore. If you are after a quiet, relaxing holiday in a beautiful setting this is for you.
