Jun 2010, poor relation

Hotel made you feel like a poor relation. There are 3 blocks A B C we were in Block C the rooms are basic but clean. The only problem was they did not leave clean towels no hot water for 3 days also no draws so you had to live out of your suitcase. Basic needs in any hotel... more

When we arrived the room we were given was so bad, we did not even unpack our bags. It was dirty, paint splashed on the floor and the smell of sewage was dreadful. They put us in a second room, where at least the air conditioning worked, but the floor was filthy and broken... more

Idas average hotel
on booking at hotel,we had to pay £10.00gbp which was refunded at end of the holiday in turkish lira well below the value of the gbp.this was for your all inclusive band.the carpets were filthy although overall the rooms were cleaned every day.entertainment was very poor, as was the rep who was non exsistance.the staff were very friendly but some of the waiters were over friendly if you had young teenage girls with you.the food was very bland and the same every day, because of this we ate out every night.be warned if you have booked with... more
Hotel Idas
Date:- August 2006 Reviewer: Mr & Mrs Nathwani My partner, 9 year old daughter and I went to Turkey for the first time this August to Icmeler staying at the Hotel Idas for two weeks. The journey from the airport to the hotel was very long and tiresome. The hotel as a whole was fine however it was rated as a 4* but in our opinion it was more like a two star. The cleaning service was daily and excellent, we encountered no problems with any personal items going missing which some guests had during our stay there. I must... more
Lovely relaxing stay
A friend and I have just returned from a week in Icmeler staying at the Idas Hotel. As it was a first visit to Turkey for both of us we were more than a little concerned at the possible problems we may encounter as two young females travelling alone, however I would like to say to anyone else who might have similar concerns don't, we had a fantastic holiday. The Turkish men although a little attentive at times (blonde hair), never over stepped the mark and were always polite and very helpful. We expected crime to be a problem however I... more
good value
me and my family have just got back from idas hotel after 2 weeks all inclusive we were supposed to stay in the sister hotel park metropol is wasnt ready for us we were very happy when we seen it it was a dump n smelled really bad the staff were misable the idas hotel was very clean staff were great we only had a problem with 1 he was a pervert but he got sacked the day we left we would deffo go back nxt year food wasnt very nice but lol
value for money
.Good hotel for the price, clean and well run, pool on the small side and in high season could be crowde. Food very good plenty of choice and well presented. Staff not too freindly but that could be there were a few trainees there for the sister hotel that is opening shortly opposite. location could be noisy in high season, 24 hour bar next door. free bar for all inclusive closes at 11pm but they usually close it at 10.45 untill you complain then you just get a grunt, but see the manager. would stay there again but in may time when the... more
Good food
We have just returned from a weeks All Inclusive stay at The Idas Hotel. The food was excellent, plenty of choice and cooked fresh each meal time. Hotel was very clean and comfortable. Wine and beer plentyfull, spirits limited to Turkish brands. Staff very friendly and helpful. Entertainment each night was limited but more than we expected. Belly dancing, Acrobats,Bingo, Quizes and National Folk Dancing. The Hotel is very central for shops and a 5 minute stroll to the beach. We are certainly planning another trip to The Idas next year/
Disturbed
As a single parent to four children, our trip, theirs the first abroad, started well. The hotel seemed clean and the food was well presented, plentifull and tasty- we went all inclusive. However our holiday was spoiled by the agressive and invasive 'sales techniques' of local shops/restaurants. So much so that a trip to the beach, having to pass down the main street, was done once and not repeated. I had been told to expect a friendly family hotel. My 12yr old daughter's carefree holiday came to an abrupt end when an adult male member... more
value for money
Just returned from the IDAS HOTEL with my partner we had a loverly time, food was good plenty off choice for lunch and evening meals but the english breakfasts let it down it was a tomato with cheese on it, toast, boiled egg but you do get a treat twice a week BACON ! but to be fair you can by an english breakfast in nearby resturants for £2.00 .for lunch and dinner it is a mixture of chicken dishes, curry, burgers, beef steak etc and they make home made bread buns infront of you which are loverly, if travelling with children they do chicken... more
Good Value
Excellent value for money although hotel was a bit dated it was very clean. Booked all inclusive board and found the food very good , however some of the all inclusive drinks ran out at 10 pm most nights ie. no vodka after 10 pm and even the lager and wine ran out some nights (all inclusive drinks ran until 11 pm). Anybody using this hotel should be aware of a nice little scam that the head receptionist/manger is running , he will demand you pay a £10 per person deposit for you all inclusive bands and promise to return your £10... more
Dated but clean
July 2005 We booked an accommodation on arrival holiday with Thomas Cook and our hotel was the Idas Hotel (pronounced eedash) in Icmeler. The location of the hotel is excellent with a 'supermarket' next door and bars and restaurants all around. The rooms are not very big and the decor old fashioned, whoever designed the logo pattern for the bed covers and curtains had bad taste. We were just bed and breakfast,(usual cereals, boiled egg, melon, yogurt, and of course toast). The hotel is popular with Germans and Russians. There was no... more
