Stayed at this boarding house with my husband and 2 children I am sorrry to say I didnt feel comfortable there, The breakfast was cold when it eventually arrived and the owners made it clear my children were getting on their nerves every move they made. children can be a little boisterous. Due to this we tried to stay away from the place as much as we could during our stay there. We have stayed at many hotels and better standards with no problems.

me, my partner dave, and dave's nanna Vera stayed for 2 nights at the strawberry fields, as dave's mum was having heart surgery at the blackpool victoria hospital, and we wanted to stay in blackpool for a couple of nights so that we were able to go and visit her.
even when i rang up to book a couple of rooms for us, i found it very reassuring at how friendly and co-operative pete the host was, as he juggled things around for us, making sure we got the rooms that we wanted, and making sure that vera got a room on the first floor with not many stairs to it, as she is in her 80's.
we were greeted warmly when we arrived. the rooms were spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. there were plenty of tea and coffee supplies which were even topped up the next day, and the rooms were also cleaned for us the following day.
petes wife, trish, made a gorgeous breakfast...,cereals, toast, full english, everything cooked just how i like it!
we spent our last night down in the beatles-themed cellar bar with pete and trish. the bar was a large size with comfy sofas, and full of beatles pictures and memorabilia. it was a nice atmosphere and we had a good laugh.
all in all, we had a perfect stay. i always think it is difficult where to start looking for somewhere to stay in blackpool, as there are so many hotels and b&b's to choose from. but i think we struck very lucky when i found this place.
i think the main asset of the strawberry fields, is the friendliness of the hosts pete and trish, which makes all the difference to me personally, as i don't believe you enjoy your stay in somewhere as much, if the hosts don't make an effort to be friendly with you.
the added bonuses of this place is the value for money (only £24 pppn), the cleanliness and trish's lovely brekkies!
thanks pete and trish. we will definately being staying at your place again, when we come to blackpool again. x
