Arion Renaissance

This hotel is in the middle of nowhere and if you are looking for partying the night away then this area is a no. The hotel was very nice, well decorated and staff were very very friendly and made us feel at home. We had a 3rd floor room which was tough at times as we had our young baby with us but they did offer us another room which we turned down as we liked the one we had. Everytime they saw us carrying the lightweight buggy up the stairs they always offered to help. The language barrier is a problem as they do not speak much english but we found that the staff we eager to learn it when talking to us and were trying and always were smiling. The only member of staff that was a grouch was the female on the desk but if you choose to ignore her then everyone else is great. The hotel is near to the beach and a short walk away from another hotel where you can use their pool and bar which serves great food and staff just as great. We hired a car, which was perfect and i recommend you do as we went into Argassi most evenings for our meals and staff in every food place was cheery. The food at the hotel is limited but as we went B&B then that was fine as we always ate out. One thing i will say is that one male member of staff really bonded with our little boy and he was definately the centre of attention whenever we were around. He always came up to him and we learnt how to say hello and goodbye in Greek and at the end of the holiday he even went out and brought my little boy a toy car which was so sweet for someone who doesn't speak english but did everything he could to talk to my boy. The staff, including him on the day of leaving were all there to see us go and we felt quiet sorry for leaving, especially when my boy was waving goodbye to them all. If you are after quiet and relaxing then i liked this hotel, you won't find anything noisy about this place. Just hire that car.
