Wow, what a wonderful stay we had. Not only is the building incredible with its period features but the owners made us feel every bit a part of the family.
We were touring the UK for a few weeks and stumbled upon the place one afternoon after our tour of Bath, we had been booked into another Hotel for the following weekend but decided to see if there was any space at The Plaine and lucky for us there was.
Our room was delightfully bright and airy, with a four poster bed that made us Americans feel very much like we were in a Jane Austen (definately a plus!) and en-suite.
When the owner found out it was my birthday over the weekend she even baked me a cake!
I can wholeheartedly recommend this place for a comfortable and enjoyable stay!

We found this Plaine on the web after searching for many days and we are glad that we did not book before because we would not missed this wonderful place.!
It is a wonderful house with beautfiul wisteria outside and the village is the perfect English place. The pubs were really friendly and the food is really good value!
Our bedroom was a a 4 post bedroom with a bath which was luxury and it was less expensive than any other place we had looked at. The room was big and comfy and we wanted to stay longer but they were full :(
Stephanie is just the nicest person. She was warm and funny and welcoming and made us laugh a lot a breakfast!...the breakfast was also wonderful and we didn't need to eat for the rest of the day!
Really really wonderful place to go and stay and when we can we will be back with our friends and family...anyone reading this should go!!
