Stayed at no7 Villa Marina in Puerto Banus.
The villa itself was in a good location - easy walking distance to beach and restaurants, but still in a quiet enough location not to be disturbed at nights.
The villa is very large - and comes with all the necessary mod cons - two fridges, microwave, dishwasher etc - but is a little short on some basics - knives and forks etc. The outdoor furniture is also a little basic and rough around the edges - but bearable.
The two pools are great - shallow one for kids.
Bonus having table tennis and pool table at the villa - although we had to buy our own ping pong balls. Also a shame that the pool table is inside rather than outside.
The nearest supermarket (or decent shop) is called Opencor and is about 10 minutes walk from the villa - there is nothing closer.
You don't need a car - but for getting supplies it would be useful! Parking in Puerto Banus seems to be based on the Paris model - leave your hand brake off so other cars can bump you to get in.
Try the Belvedere restaurant on the sea front - reasonably priced compared to others and great setting for watching the sun go down and the waves.
In short - a decent holiday. If owners upgraded slightly then they would be able to charge a little extra.

just back from a week at the villa marina and had a fantastic week!! Rooms were small but tidy an you are only sleeping there so why have a large room so much to do all day and night no need to be in the room.
yes it is sometimes noisy but who has kids that sit and say nothing and afterall its there holiday aswell so they are entitled to have fun if you want a quiet break go on an adult only holiday instead of moaning about people having fun!!
Food was great loads of choice and something for everyone from simple dishes to spanish cuisine, only thing was at nite if you were peckish you had to rely on crisps as no snacks at nite.
Entertainment was great something for everyone and the team are excellent with the kids defo a must hav for families
Myself and my husband went alone this year but will defo be returning next year with the kids.
Some people are never happy an if its the ritz you want pay the fortune to go there if its superb value for money and happy kids then the villa marina is perfect

The villa is in a cul de sac of about 20 units, very close to the beach, it is in its own grounds, not overlooked in any direction with two excellent pools and gardens with shade. The rooms are very big and with ducted air conditioning which is quiet but very efficient. The unit is very clean with a maid service during the week and the pool is also maintained. You need to get a taxi to the supermarket which is in Puerto Banus. If you like cars and boats visit the harbour!

Went on a 2 week holiday with my husband and 2 children and my mum,We traveled with First Choice,We arrived Reus airport to catch our bus to the hotel,to find lots of buses and no rep to tell us what bus to catch,we was very tired as you can understand we had been up for many hours, when on the bus we were told we could not check in till 3 pm,we were to arrive at half past 11,We arrived at the hotel,My first impression i was very disappointed, when entering the reception i felt much better as it was very clean and smart,We were lucky that our rooms were to be ready in 30 min so we were pleased. We had a cold drink and the kids had there ice creams and enjoyed our surroundings,We made our way to our rooms we had booked a 3 bedroom and a 2 bedroom,As we entered our rooms i was shocked you could not swing a cat,the 3 bedroom was as small as the 2,I shared the room with my Mum and my husband shared with the 2 boys one is 7 and the other 14,but u do not spend your holiday in your room,The Bar staff were brill!! and the entertainment team were great,ah Tiny he was fab,The waiters were great,The drinks were flowing and we had some great nights,The party games were fab,The food was good but got a bit repetative over the 2 weeks ,the desserts were plain,The pool tables were exspensive and the internet and not many other things for the kids, the pools were clean and they were a lot of sunbeds,The night time finished two early

Just thought I'd let you know that having just returned from two weeks in No 20 of Villa Marina in Puerto Banus people must be very careful with the Villa Plus descriptions and probe very carefully. A bit of openness from the sales people would have been nice (am i being naiive here . . . 'oh I've been to that villa it's lovely'.
This Villa would be described by estate agents a doer-upper . . . in need of some TLC . . . ok for someone in love with 1970's decor. When we arrived the place looked like an empty house . . . we opened the door and there was a musty smell . . . no air con (in fact the system was so old that in the end we had to have two fans in each bedroom to try and help cool the place down whilst two of the kids had to sleep on settees near the only new air con unit that was actuallyworking).
Oh I can't be bothered any more . . . suffice to say we will be complaining most strongly to Villa Plus about this and taking action if necessary. The place is a disgrace. The reps themselves seem to think this is the only thing to do: 'We keep telling them in the UK'.
Oh and by the way . . . if you do have complaints that are serious enough to disturb your holiday enjoyment ensure you write them down and get the representative to fax this to Villa PLus in the UK. I have only just seen this in the Villa Plus conditions and I would have most certainly done so IF WE HAD BEEN INFORMED THAT THIS WAS NECESSARY BY THE REPS.

Booked through Villa Plus. The holiday pack they sent out beforehand was very comprehensive with everything we needed to know. We were met by smartly dressed drivers, modern clean minibuses fully equipped with car seats for the children.
On arrival at the villa we were met by the rep. She was very friendly and helpful. We had to call her a couple of time to sort a couple of minor issues which she dealt with quickly and efficiently.
The villa was very spacious and clean. Decor is a bit dated but no more so than usual. There were two pools - one adult and one kiddie which were ideal and the garden was immaculate. The kitchen was fully equipped for a large group but again a bit dated on the utensils.
We were a bit apprehensive as the villa was right next to the Buddha Beach Club as we were with children but it provided great background music during the day and was finished by 7.30pm. We were a minute's walk from the beach/restaurants, 5 minutes walk to the nearest shops and 15 minutes from the port.
All in all we had a lovely time and would definitely book here and with Villa Plus again.
