We loved our stay in Ivy Cottage - it was so peaceful and a welcome break for us (a rare holiday!). The accommodation was very light and spacious, with every thing you needed in the kitchen (it was all clean and looked brand new - unlike many cottages i've been to where you get the owners hand-me-downs!).
The gardens were perfect - very 'cottagy' and there was plenty of parking. We went for meals out in Chester (recommend Living Room near the Cathedral). We spent about 2 days in the city exploring the park, zoo, shopping, river, museum. Then we went to Snowdonia (all a short drive - very good roads). We also visited Cheshire Market Towns such as Nantwhich and Whitchurch - very pleasant holiday in general. We booked through [--] where there was no booking fees.
