We booked this hotel online through Thomson's. It stated that it was a family hotel. NEVER. The place was 90% full of 18-30 types, with party's, shouting, screaming, banging of doors continually happening every night between 03:00 and 07:30. The hotel done nothing to prevent or stop this.
Thomson's also stated that it had a kids club. The main reason we booked it. The kids club was non-existent. The entertainment staff did play some games with the kids, but it only lasted for about 20 minutes, then the blaring music, with explicit lyrics was cranked up again.
The evening entertainment, was like a nightmare from Butlins. Rubbish is the best way to describe it. Silly games and bingo. Bingo (Am I 85 yrs old????)
If you have any sense, you will avoid this hotel like the plague, unless you fall into the drunk and disorderly category.

My family and i were aware that Magaluf in general was a noisy, young orientated place, which we didnt mind as the Fiesta Sahara was supposed to be 'family apartments' so me and my family were quite happy to go. On arrival the receptionist was rude and very unwelcoming to us and just gave us our key told us where our rooms were and basically told us to go away. We were on the third floor so we got in the lift, the lift absolutely stunk of urine and was covered top to bottom in graffiti. When we got to the third floor all we could hear was music blasting out and shouting and screaming, by this point we kind of gathered this was not for families at all. When we got into our rooms (which were OK) the first thing i did was look over the balcony, there were only about 3 families sat by and in the pool, we knew we couldnt stay here. We went down to see the rep and he wasnt there, we waited for about 3 hours for him to come back and then we told him of how we had been told the place was for families and clearly wasnt, he said he would sort it for us. Couple hours later he came up to our room and said that they would be able to move us but only on monday, we had to stay there for 2 nights. The worst 2 nights sleep i've ever had. Music blasting until 11am then being awoken by screaming and shouting at 4am, people trying to make themselves sick in the pool and doing other things in the pool and on balconys, one night when we came back from having tea there were naked lads runnning around in the corridoors, which my young daughter witnessed. It was a waste of 2 days of my holiday and i do recommned for you to only go to this accommodation if your between the ages of 18 - 30.

Me and 2 friends arrived at the fiesta sahara to find out we each had to pay a 30 euro deposit for our room - which we were never informed about- then after having to wait 30-45 minutes for our room we eventullay got in to find that the maid had defrosted our fridge and forgot to clean it up and turn it back on. Also the room wasnt exactly clean, with the last stayers "muck" left on the bathroom floor and on the table provided on the balcony. Also we were aware there was no air con in the rooms but we expected a fan that would at least cool our room down, the fans in our room went no faster then 1mph so you can imagine what the heat was like, then trying to purchase a plug in fan for our room was easier said then done, having to leave a 20 euro deposit plus the 14 euro to pay! After our first day things only got worse, the hotel had forgot to inform and repair the broken patio door in our bedroom which actullay resulted in one of my friends being robbed! All her holiday money AND phone were pinched out her suitcase! When we reported this to the hotel they were more then unhelpful. Recptionist's were very rude too us when we went for the help, having to wait 3 hours for the door to get fixed and 2 hours to the see manager who, when we informed him of what happened payed no attention to the detial of our story. After sitting having to fill forms out and travelling to Palma Nova police station to find out that the hotel didnt have upto date forms which meant we ending up spending a full day travelling backwards and forwards trying to get the right forms and get the filled in correctly. Other little things didnt help the hotel much, obviously its not a family hotel which we did not mind at all but when other people were trashing the corridors the mess was being left hours upon hours with out getting cleaned up, the pool was disgusting every morning, out of 11 mornings we only seen the pool being cleaned once. Altogether i would NEVER go back to Feista Sahara again would high recommmend that nobody else wasted their time even looking into staying at this hotel.

First of all Magaluf is actually unreal! I went in a party of four girls aged 18. The hotel itself is fine, after reading all the reviews i was abit worried but its not as bad as what people make out. Its NOT a family hotel and when we there a family was kicking off in reception because her children were scared on a night because everyone knocks on your door and is very loud when coming in. But then again its magaluf so what do you expect. The rooms are clean alough it didnt look like it had been rubed down propperly before our arrival, we found a balloon and popcorn under the beds! We could of done with a microwave for our supernoodles but we managed ha, but they have everything else. When we got there we were made to pay 30euros deposit incase the room got wrecked, which i wasn't happy about because nobody told us, but we got it back at the end of our stay. Our balcony door was also broken and wouldn't lock which we were worried about becasue we seen a few lads climb over their mates balconys so it was possible that anyone could break into our room. We told reception and they said they'd get straight on it, it took us three times to ask for it to be fixed before they actually did! Also the receptionists are very moody and talk to you like crap. We also got a warning twice for having our music on twice on a night :') but thats our fault. There isn't any air conditioning only fans on the ceeling which weren't helpful, luckily i took a travel fan which was helpful But im going back next year and i'd be happy to stay here again. Those who complain i don't know what you expect for a three star and cheap hotel, it's fine.
In magaluf itself, the night life is unreal. BCM is a must go, we went to see Tinie Tempah and payed 50euros and that including seeing him, getting freebe's like tops, all inclusive drinks and a stamp on your hand to get into all 3 BCM clubs that night. I think a usual night was about 30euros for all drinks, stamp and freebe's. Every club you go in they drag you in with deals. With a party of four we got a pint of whatever drink (cocktails/spirits) a jug of whatever we wanted and a shot each of whatever you want for 5/6 euros. The cheapest was BONKERS which was 4euro for that deal and CITY LIGHTS where it was a tenner for exactly the same deal so it worked out 2.50euros each. I'd recomend CLUB21 and THE OFFICE, they're really good clubs. Also if you go to the end of the strip i think its better, we didn't relise how big it was and only stayed near BCM area then relised theres loads more past the big bunjee things. Also we eat out everynight it was about 6euros a meal on adverage, but we found a nice little place near the beach who were pretty cheap and gave you free shots :) Everyones really nice too, i thought there'd be loads of ******** but everyone talked to you, especially on a night walking home. TOP TIP: if you don't want to go in a club when they drag you in just say your ''going home because it's your lastnight'' they let you go straight away because everybody does literally drag you in and wont leave you until you go in!
Well i hope i've helped haha. I'd deffo's go back next year and i'd stay in the same hotel it's actually fine. At the end of the day all you need is somewhere to get ready and sleep and it done the job. After looking back on the reviews people's complaints are so petty. And i hope you have a nice time if you do end up staying in this hotel :) Laura.

Just returned from this hotel. On arrival we were given a key to the room. We dropped our luggage off and went to the local shop. On our return to the apartment we found that all our spending money had been stolen along with three mobile phones. When we told reception they did nothing. I was left with five euros in my pocket. This theft ruined my holiday and I was constantly looking over my shoulder and didn't feel safe in the hotel. After a whole week of worry I was glad to get home. I will never go back to this hotel again and don't recommend it at all. The tour operator did not advise of previous numerous thefts from holiday makers at Fiesta Sahara or the fact that a room deposit has to be made at checking in stage. Please avoid at all costs.

- Advice: get the police to watch the hotel, like the thieves appear to be. Clean up the beach, its dirty.

We were sent there by Thompson as a family only hotel....BUT....the majority were young party loving, extremely noisy, disrespectful of families with children loutish teenagers.
Understandably these people are as entitled to a fun holiday as anyone, but agents should not be recommending this hotel for families.
The accomodation was fine it was clean and mid sized.
towels were changed reguilarly and toilet roll topped up.
In fairness to the hotel staff they are just over run by these youth who blatantly disobey the rules and give the security a headache.

From most of the reviews you have read with a similar title to mine you would assume I am a mother who planned to have a lovely holiday with my children. I am not. I am 18 years old and went on holiday with 7 of my other girl mates. Obviously the intention of the holiday was to party hard and stay out late which is exactly what we got. Magaluf itself is a wicked place to be...the night life is insane and people really awesome. However never stay at fiesta sahara. They scammed me and my friends by claiming they gave us 3 keys at the beginnig of our holiday and refused to co-operate when we asked them to check security to prove they had not. they refused to get a member of management and initially refused to give us their names. they ended up keeping some of our deposit due to the fact that we had not handed back the imaginery key they had given us at the beginning, all the while laughing in our faces. disgusting behaviour and i strongly recommend you to never stay there.

If you booked for a family hotel, you will not get it. Falsely advertised in the brochure as for family only then convert it into 18-30 hotel. It is totally disgusting, the final straw was when a man was stabbed in his room for his jewellry. The blood remained pooled outside lifts and up Walls for hours before being cleaned up. Totally appalling.

have just returned from fiesta sahara and am disgusted with thomson for sending me and my two children there. They stated this was a family hotel its more like an 18-30 holiday. My Children have been subjected to pornography , shouting and swearing playing loud music all night, also young teenagers climbing into our balconies and scaring my children half to death we were there for two weeks and it was like been sentenced to hell. I will never book a holiday again with thomsons. If you have a family p[lease dont go there.
