Jul 2008, Miss K Carr

BEST HOLIDAY EVER!!!!!! Hotel was basic but good enough for what we wanted, fab pool!!!! Amazing reps, booked all the trips, well worth the money, Booze cruise is mint!!!!!
Wish i was there right now!!!! Have to say i think its very weird that people go with children and families and then complain about the noise and drunken antics etc when everyone knows that people go to Magaluf for exactly these reasons!!!! There are plenty of places in the world to choose from so go somewhere more familiy orientated!!!!! Seriously think that these people just like to whinge and moan and try to spoil other peoples fun!!!! GET A LIFE!!!!!!!

Jul 2008, Mr K Darraugh

WOW. This is no fancy luxury hotel. This is just a mad hotel full of scottish youths !! I never knew they was so many scottish people in the world never mind magaluf. the hotel is very basic but they is a great atmosphere round the place. Everybody seems to be freinds with everybody. We had our pants down with the freestyle reps though DONT buy the ticket!! the hotels quietist time is before 2 ocklock in the afternoon. You wont get much sleep at night. it can get very hot and stuffy in the room so we slept with doors open. the receptionists are very moody !! and you can bribe the security guard with beer if u get chucked out the hotel!!!
overall great holiday and great hotel!!

Jul 2008, Miss D Burnell

Well what can i say Magalfu is amazing there was 14 of us all together and not one of us had any trouble or problems like what people have been writing about the Sahara, i definatly would not recommend this place for families as you WILL not get any sleep. I would also recommend the Fiesta Jungla to anyone going back next year some of our mates were staying there and it was a real buzzing atmosphere night and day! again family people dont go you will hate it unless you have a WKD side to you!

My son has just phoned from Magaluf...

Jul 2008, Mr PC Gordon

My son has just phoned from Magaluf to say that his mates money has all been stolen from the safe in the room so they have nothing left for food and 7 days left. The hotel and reps do not care a they just want your money. All parents are rushing around making bank transfers when the lads should be having fun. They have saved hard for this holiday and I am disgusted that maybe the staff at the hotel were involved and noone cares............. DO NOT STAY HERE

DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU A FAMILY OR OVER 30!
Hotel was clean and simple. Was near all the good clubs and pubs! Bar moon...canny beat it!
Bar 29...bongo man he's a belter!
Security wasnt very polite and was a bit strict..due to late parties!
Balconies were a bit small but ok.
Everything was amazing..apart from in the luggage room...do not leae your suitcase there we got ours broken into and everything nicked..Haw naw!
See you next year...

Jul 2008, Miss C Gibson

a fab set ov apartments for wat we wanted! we had no truble at all! in the day there was a gr8 atmosphere round the pool everyone was relli nice! and by night there was a gr8 buzz throughout the corridoors with music bein played. even though it was expected after a few nights the noise ov ppl cummin in at like half seven in the mornin did get on ur nerves even thought most nights we were still awake thn r selves! the hotel had a fab location jus 2 mins aay frm bcm and the beach and close enough to the strip bt not so you get the boomin music all thru the night!
i highly recommned if your goin for two weeks to do the freesytle thing! its well worth the money! ohh andd basherr the repp it hott! i think everyone i was with was like damnn! :d
pirates is a must do if you want entertainment thts the place to go!
i wud give the overall holiday 9/10!
and if u want good food at resonable prices thn tom browns all the way!

Just back from a 2 week holiday, 6...

Jun 2008, Miss SH 6 Scottish Gals !!!!!!

Just back from a 2 week holiday, 6 scottish girls looking for fun! Fiesta Sahara was amazing, close enough to the strip but far away enough to be away from all the mental noise! BCM is the place to be, we loved it and spent most of our nights in there! The free gifts are fab too! lol!
Pool area was brilliant, plenty sun loungers although when we first arrived we didnt go down early enough to get any! If you go down about 10ish you'll get loungers easily enough as most ppl are still in their beds! we went down and then went bak to bed haha!
Staff and reps were very helpful and always around if you ever needed anything. Disagree with all the negative comments ive read, we had nothing stolen and had no bother with anything. Word of warning, they will chuck you out if you get crazy, we heard of ppl chucking their tables nd stuff off their balconys nd they got chucked out by security. Only downside was the 30 euro deposit we had to pay on arrival, but as long as you keep everything in your room the way you found it you'll get it back when you check out! Dont fall for the MCP pass, total waste of money unless your gona go to the clubs in the strip everynight.
All in all, Magaluf is an amazing experience nd the fiesta sahara is a fab hotel. Would go back in a second. Definately not a family resort but it was the best 2 weeks of our lives! Loved it and lookin to book back up for next year!!

Jun 2008, Stacie!

just came back from a holiday in magaluf, we stayed in the fiesta sahara and i completely disagree with all the negative commets about it!! me and two friends had the best week here and everything about the hotel was great!! the only thing that i agree with is that the 30 euro deposit that u get on arrival is bang out of order and this is not the hotels fault thomson should have notified us and didnt!!. .however i would book with thomson again because aswell as a great holiday we had 2 brilliant flights!!
and as far as the noise went its the sort of thing that u expect when u go to a resort like this everyone nos what it is like so if u dont like it then dont go!! all the lads that were messing around r just typical lads who we actually found amusing:)
would definately go again i am looking to book up already. .

thought it was a very nice hotel and situated in the right place.within walking distance of the strip but far enough you dont get all the noise.pool area was always clean and the staff were helpfull.few nights of noise but what do u expect when you got youngish people staying there.rooms were hot but the fan was useful along with having the balcony doors open.kitchen appliances were basic but then again had what we required.beds were comfy for what sleeping we actually did.never felt unhappy there on my own?overall very satisfying.would go back.

I have reviewed some of the other...

Jun 2008, Miss R L Smith

I have reviewed some of the other comments on this page and i agree with the negative ones. This hotel is situated in a great place with decent facilites on site and excellent facilities/attractions close by outside of the resort.
a stones throw from all the bars/clubs/resturants and beaches you could need.
However, and this is a big HOWEVER .. upon arriving we had to put a 30euro deposit down EACH which i found abit of a shock and pricey. Then we were greeted with screaming guests who were drunk and up every night til at least 6am.
consequently i spent most the week sleeping during daylight and as a result became an owl. (only kidding) i didnt actually turn into an owl but my night vision did improve somewhat.
also on the first night was greeted with sick in the corridors.. also fast food wrappers on the floor and takeway food.
our neighbours thought it was also nice to drop a shopping bag of baked beans on our doorstep and prank our intercom telephone at around 5-6am also.
what i can say is that friends we were staying with had lovely neighbours and we also made some great friends and met some nice people there.
maybe we were just unlucky.. but definatly NOT a place for families and suits the 18-30's age group of young adults who want to party.
bottom line, 3 out of 10 because we had no problems with the staff and service was good.
but magaluf is deffo not a family friendly place, go to palma for that!! 4 stabbings in 7 days, people blatently shagging on the beach for everyone to see and naked men doing push ups on the beach is not somewhere id like to take my kids.

Jun 2008, Miss LM Mallett

Absolutely horrible! There is no entertainment and very dear in the apartment hotel. Within 2 days of being there i got back and the maids had been in my room and cleaned it. All of my wardrobe was trashed and out all over the floor and my boyfriends mobile phone that was on charge had gone missing and a £50 lacoste hat. The manager was useless and the thomson reps. We were told my another person on holiday that the maids were going in your room when u were out, opening the patio doors and then getting people to come thru and take stuff. so keep your eyes open!!!!!!!!!!

May 2008, Mr D Howarth

awful hotel and defo not for anyone going with children
loud music and noise all the time day and night naked men running round pool area where kids are playing no entertainment for kids what so ever
had a man in his boxers kicking our doors at silly hours of the morning trying to get in phoned security took them 15 mins to arrived
a family on the 5th floor left after getting beaten up for reporting noise ( his kids were there when it happened )
resort itself was not bad but i would never go again
not many good places to eat tom browns was ok we stuck to the europe restaurant on the same road as the hotel food there was very nice and you got alot too
overall our holiday was awfull and we need another one to get over this
reps didnt care too much when we told him
