After the initial horrible transfer,(the driver got lost) and the shock of a very small room (which was changed immediately, without complaint).Myself and my partner were very pleased with what the hotel looked like, the staff were a little quiet at first but it turned out that they were unhappy with some guests(russians)and once they got to know us they were lovely.
There is a massage/beauty salon on site and the lads that work there are brilliant,as is the lovely couple who run the onsite gift shop.
We spent most of our time during the day over the road on the beach and at Junglemans beach bar,the staff there were amazing nd really made our holiday.
The downsides are,the plastic minging cups you get your drinks in and the lager is watery and tastes weird, and the rude russians that make up 50% of the guests if not more and the onsite entertainment which is in russian also.
All that aside,we are going back in September to do it all over again .

We (my husband daughter and her friend) stayed at The Abacus Sun Gardens in September 2008. After reading the reviews I was really really concerned. No need we arrived just a the evening meal had finished but the staff kept the kitchens open for us. The rooms were clean and serviced every day, basic but hell you dont go on holiday to sit in your room anyway.
Most of the staff pleasant and helpful. There are plenty of places to walk to if you are prepared to explore, we set out on a 3 hour walk to find a birthday cake for our daughters 16th birthday that was an experience especially as it was a choclate cake and it was sooo hot it kinda melted. The food was ok in the hotel but for what we payed you could afford to eat out. Made some good friends mad as hatters. BIG up the Darlo boys Martin, Sweaty, Brian (complete nutter) and Mark. I will be honest a flight did come in after ours and they refused to stay and went home.Do you know what one women complained about "no t.v" HA HA! The road outside the hotel is a big road to cross but it's not the A1. You pay for what you get, would we go back... definatley

I booked a late deal and wanted a cheap week away. They say that you get what you pay for and that is certainly true. If you are after a cheap, no frills holiday, then there can be little complaint about this hotel. I felt that a lot of the holidaymakers had rather unrealistic expectations for what they had paid. Our room was clean and serviced daily. The place could have been cleaner, but it is obviously run on a shoestring. The food was plentiful and there was always something you could eat. I cannot understand people who go abroad and expect to be fed English food.
A couple of the staff were friendly but the marjority seemed miserable and demoralised. The in-house entertainment was very limited as was the daily play list of music. You could set your watch by the songs which were regularly played at the same time every day.
My real dislike was the plastic beakers which were continually in use.
I had a wonderful cheap holiday. Don`t expect "The Savoy" or "The Ritz!" and you won`t be disappointed

We were quite scared to go after reading all the reviews but our room was loveley, very clean with a wonderful sea view, food was really nice could not complain about anything, the beach across the road was lovely and we stayed all day, I would not want to sit around the pool with all the moaners who wanted English food, maybe they should have paid 5 star prices to stay in 5 star hotel, I would defenetly go back but take your own English Spirits as there own brand was awful.

This was a last minute holiday for my...

Sep 2008, Mr G Ellwood

This was a last minute holiday for my two children (14 & 11) and myself. The 3 plus hours to transfer from the Airport was difficult but the journey was soon forgotten.
The hotel is some distance from Analya or any real facilities, but the local bus stops outside the hotel and takes you where you need to go. The bus runs from early morning to the early hours of the next morning. The beach it just over the main road.
The hotel itself is spotlessly clean. The rooms are cleaned every day by friendly and efficient staff.
The meals were basic and mostly Turkish, but there was plenty to eat and the kitchen staff obviously put a lot of effort and attention into the food.
The hotel staff were all friendly and attentive. You couldn't ask for better staff.
The rooms were basic, and when we went the air conditioning was a must. The rooms are a reasonable size and every room has a balcony. There are 4 floors, but there are lifts in each of the five blocks.
The swimming pool was a reasonable size and accomodated the full hotel while we were there.
The entertainment wasn't brilliant. A few young enthusiasts trying their hardest, but you get what you paid for and the unlimited drink made up for it!
We enjoyed our week there and would definately recommend the hotel. The long trip from the Airport would be the only thing to consider.

i have just come home from a week at the sun gardens and loved it ! its very true you get what you pay for but i dont think anyone has paid over 300 for a week here which is good value for money where ever you go. i was dubious about this holiday, it didnt have great reviews but the hotel is great. the entertainment is rubbish but they do the best with what they have and the fact is they are really nice people who will bend over backwards for you made up for the rest they were lacking. the pool is tiny and unless your up at the crack of dawn you wont get a space round it, but the beach across the not so busy road is lovely. but please be weary of the guys in the beach bar, it was just me and a pal away and they started off lovely but as soon as we told them we werent interested they got rude and a little scary. i cant recommend white gold (right next to hotel) enough though the staff are great the drink is cheap, we spent a few nights there watching the sunset ! they do a turkish night on a tuesday thats well worth seeing to. all round we had a great time on a shoestring budget.

Jul 2008, Miss R L EVANS

i have just had a fantastic time at this hotel and would recommend anybody to go there.we paid £250 each all inclusive what a bargin.i read the reviews before and was very worried but thought i would keep a very open mind as you get what you pay for, they have recently renewed their staff and reps and seem to be trying to sort out previous problems that they had.
the reason i did not give this holiday a 10 is because i think the entertainment could have been a bit better but the cheeky boys as we called them did their best.
the staff at this hotel were great especially thomas who has turned the place around.
the beach bar across the road (the road not as bad as the reviews made out from the way they were talking i was expecting the m25) was very friendly and the sunset from there is breath taking.
on the whole for the money that we paid it was excelent value and i would definatley visit there again as there area around you is stunning.
