Remont

My husband daughter and I had a great stay here in an attic family bedroom. The room was very clean, bright, stylish and comfortable with a great shower room. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was excellent. We would recommend the hotel.

I stay here regularly when visiting Oxford on business. Rooms are nicely furnished, very comfortable. Satellite TV means great channel selection when you are tired of checking your emails using the free wireless internet in your room. Breakfast is excellent. Only criticism is that the wardrobes are very small, although usually big enough for me for 3 or 4 days stay. Stairs are very narrow in the main building, but there is an elevator for the unsteady (like me).

We chose the Remont based on the positive reviews on this website and we weren't disappointed. The rooms were tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. The staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. Before we arrived they helped with some restaurant recommendations in Summertown that proved very successful. Getting in to Oxford from the hotel was quick and straightforward using an excellent bus service that stops about 100 yds from the hotel. We would definetely stay here again.

We stayed in this guesthouse for one night recently. The rooms are cosy and small, but well appointed and modern. Its location is great, although not much in the way of local facilities, it does benefit from a great local bus service into Central Oxford. The breakfast was great and the staff were friendly and attentive. We thought it was overpriced for a B & B, but would stay there again if on a cheaper rate.

We have just returned from a 2night stay at the Remont. What a wonderful place to stay!. The pictures on the website do not do it justice. It is beautifully decorated and stunningly clean everywhere. The room was fabulous with a stunning bathroom. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who are polite and warm and friendly. The breakfast was exceptional with plenty of choice. It's very central for the shops and restaurants and we can't wait to go back for another visit. I would recommend the remont to anybody, in fact you would be mad to choose anywhere else.

Stayed for 1 night in room 10. The Remont is a very nice property and is decorated in 'Malmaison' style with lots of brown and cream decor. Fixtures and fittings are all new and spotlessly clean, and the room benefited from freeview television and a powerful shower. The breakfast room is delightful, decorated in a modern, light style and should be used for more than just breakfast. The meal itself was enjoyable with a choice of juices, cereal, cold cuts, pastries and hot dishes. I will stay here again given the opportunity.

I have just spent two nights at the Remont and I would highly recommend it! I absolutely cannot understand the negative review that has recently been posted and I would suggest ignoring that. The couple who run the Remont were friendly and welcoming. The hotel is modern with contemporary decor. It is very easy to find with parking available. It is also well located, being a 5 minute bus ride to the centre of Oxford and a short walk from a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants in Summertown. The room was modern and extremely clean (I am difficult to please in that regard!). The shower was fantastic and there were a few nice touches (nice biscuits and mineral water). The breakfast area is self service and the atmosphere relaxed. There was a good selection of hot and cold breakfast and great coffee. I enjoyed a great weekend staying at the Remont and I would definitely go back.

I discovered the Remont guesthouse while searching the official Oxford city website. I took a chance and, based solely on their website, made a reservation for my teenaged daughter and myself. I am writing to say I could not have been more pleased. Remont is the ONLY guesthouse or hotel whose rooms and public areas are actually nicer than its photos or text would have you believe! The cleanliness and modernity of the property, the artwork on the walls, the delicious breakfasts, and the professionalism of the staff all contributed to a perfect experience. I really can not think of one thing I would change. This was my daughter's first visit to the UK and I am grateful that the Remont guesthouse was part of her experience. Thank you!
