Really enjoyed our holiday in Pendene Villa. Beautiful, spacious, well equipped villa with a large pool. We picked fresh coconuts, passion fruit and limes from the trees around the pool. Nearby Pereybere had a nice town beach and several good restaurants (especially the Thai Restaurant and Sealovers) If going back to the villa at night I would recommend a taxi (Garcon will provide a phone number) as the road is uneven and unlit in parts. If going further afield I would heartily recommend the segways trip through the park at Flic en Flac. The sugar factory is also worth a visit.
The only negative I can think of is that the 'impossible' jigsaw is missing pieces so it is indeed impossible !!

Pendene Villa was a great location to spend a break away from the pressures of life. Wendy was so well organized that she e-mailed me to make sure that I did not forget my date of arrival as we had sorted out the booking weeks before.
The Villa is clean, well equipped with loads of space and a magic pool that you can relax around.I can remember swiming at 8pm at night after a great day at the beach, what more do you want.
The best part is that you have all the freedom and space to do what you want. Buying great food was easy as the
supermarket is 10 minute drive away and for me the best was Pereybere beach which is a 15 minute walk away or three minute drive. We spent two days driving around the island looking for the best beaches only to find that it was sitting in front of us at Pereybere.
You need to go into Grand Baie, which is about five minutes drive away from the Villa and you will find everything you need to have a great stay.
I did not have to worry about the airport transfers or the hire of our car that Wendy had organized for us in advance, the value of what we received far outwayed a stay in any hotel.

From the time we first made contact with Wendy I knew we were going to have the holiday of a lifetime. I contacted her so many times with queries and everything was sorted so promptly that when we arrived at the villa we wanted for nothing. The cleanliness of the villa was amazing and the size meant that even though there were 10 of us there we could all have quiet times. It was very well equipped and modern and the caretaker was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Having visited Mauritius before this has to be one of the best villa's I have ever stayed in. It is not overlooked and very private. The pool is amazing and that is where we spent most of our time relaxing. I would not hesitate in recommending Pendene to anyone for a very special holiday as I felt totally at home, relaxed and cared for by the caretaker Garcon and his wife. I cannot wait to return.

This was our 6th visit to Mauritius in the last 10 years, and I must say that this villa is the best we have stayed at in all of those visits. From our first contact with Wendy (owner), she was very prompt and detailed in meeting our queries.
Where do I start to describe this villa. The villa itself is impeccably clean and spacious. The grounds are green and lush with a huge pool and multiple comfortable lounge chairs.By the way our 2 teenage daughters and their 2 teenage cousins did not have any interest in going to the beach as they were more than content to stay in the pool all day.
We were 11 in all(up to 14 at dinner some nights when friends came by), however, never felt on top of each other in this huge villa.The bedrooms were large and comfortable with plenty of drawer and chest space to put your things. The master bedroom is huge ....you could play a game of soccer in it !
All the bathrooms were clean with well maintained functioning plumbing( unlike other places we have stayed before ). The dining /living area was as well very, very large.... accomodating all of us until the wee hours of the morning without being on one another. Each group had their own little area while all being in the same room.
My wife loved the large kitchen with the multitude of glassware, dishes,pots and pans( again unlike other places we have stayed at on the island).Another great asset is the washing machine , which with that many people, came in handy for keeping up with the laundry.
Lastly , both Garcon and bebe were a pleasure to have nearby as their recommendations to restaurants(eg Happy Rajah ) and their prompt attention to our needs were met in an expeditious and friendly manner.
I would have no problem recommending this villa as it met AND EXCEEDED our needs in all the following areas: spaciousness,value for $ spent, cleanliness, comfort and quiet location. My family and I look forward to working with Wendy again in the future, the next trip we take to Mauritius.

My friends and I came to Mauritius for a week long holiday and were lucky enough to be able to stay in the beautiful Pendene Villa. We were only a group of 5 and therefore there was more than enough space for all of us!! The house was beautiful and the pool was fantastic to have for our use. The beaches were only 15 minutes walk away and although the supermarket was a bit difficuly to get to Garcon helped us out by driving us there on our first day to stock up for the week. Garcon and Bebe were brilliant, helping us to arrange day trips and making sure that we knew our way around places. We were a group of all 20year old girls and therefore Garcon (and taxi drivers in the area) were keen to make sure that we didnt get lost or wander around alone at night, not necessarily because it was dangerous but just for their peace of mind. The villa was in easy walking distance for various restaurants and a taxi from Pereybere to the larger town of Grand Baie where there were plenty or bars, clubs and restaurants wasn't at all expensive. All in all we had a wonderful stay and are hoping that we will be able to return with family or as a group of friends again.

This was an excellent villa very clean and well equiped with a great swimming pool. We were a mixed group of all adults but young and old. Plenty of room for us all to do exactly what we wanted. WE were only 10 mins from the beach and supermarket but a car was needed. Although we used taxis in the evening which were fine.
WE all enjoyed our stay, and the booking was very easy indeed.

We spent 3 weeks at Pendine Villa near Pereybere beach summer 2009.Our party consisted of 2 adults and 2 teenagers so we had tons of room in the villa which is extremely well maintained and appointed, really big , with loads of extras like books, games, hairdryers, pool toys, bbq, etc. The booking process was easy with plenty of tips from the owners, and when we arrived we were unbelieveably well looked after by Garcon and his wife Bebe who live very close and are keen to make your stay as easy and enjoyable as possible. The location is good , within an easy walk to Pereybere however we hired a car at very good rates and travelled around to various beaches as well. I think if you go for self catering over the hotel route you experience a lot more of the real Mauritius without being ripped off by the hoteliers. Eating out is generally very reasonable and everyone is very friendly. We would defiintely recommend the villa and Mauritius overall as a holiday destination.

We went for our Honeymoon to Mauritius and for a period of our stay we stayed in the Pendene Villa, it's a beautiful villa in a great location and I thoroughly recommend it to families looking for a great place to stay whilst in Mauritius.
Booking the Villa was very easy and it is very competetive in terms of price too, if and when we return to Mauritius we will be returning to the Villa if it is free at the time.

My wife and I went to Mauritius for our honey and chose to stay at the Pendene Villa for 9 days (20th – 29th May). I had spoken to Wendy numerous times in the UK prior to flying out there and she was always very helpful in providing information about the area, the local amenities and the villa itself which helped us prepare for our honeymoon out there. Airport transfers were pre-arranged with the booking which was fantastic since we didn’t have to worry about how to get to the villa once we landed. When we arrived at the villa we were warmly welcomed by Garcon and his wife Bebe, and their playful dogs Blackie and Tommy who my wife adored. The villa is massive and detached and offered the privacy we were looking for – the area is very quiet and is a short distance to the main town Grand Bay. We hired a car (not expensive and would highly recommend it as it’s a great way of getting around the island). On the first day, Garcon drove us to the supermarket so we can stock up on whatever we needed for our 9 day stay at the villa.
The villa itself is large and fully equipped – there wasn’t anything that we could think of that we would need that wasn’t already there – it was very much like a home away from home. The villa has a big swimming pool at the rear which is enclosed by high walls and trees so very private. We use to swim in the pool everyday which is cleaned daily by Garcon who lives within the grounds of the villa in a small outbuilding with his family. The villa itself was very clean and all rooms fully equipped with modern air conditioning which was great since it does get hot.
For what we paid the villa is amazing value, and if I was to go to Mauritius again I would not have to think twice about where I’d by staying – Pendene Villa without a doubt. Overall, it was a fantastic experience staying at this lovely villa, both my wife and myself were very happy with our stay and couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you Wendy, Garcon and Bebe for making our stay a very pleasurable one.

We had a lovely honeymoon in Pendene Villa. It is clean, spacious and well equipped.
It's a great location to explore the island, especially if you hire a car. The supermarket is 10 minute drive away.
Pereybere beach is a 15 minute walk away and there is a selection of restaurants choose from.
Garcon and Bebe were very helpful and even drove us to the supermarket when we arrived.
